Dragonball Z: My thoughts on Super Saiyan God

by Jeremy Carden

The subject of this blog is about the Super Saiyan God technique and of course the Battle of Gods movie.

images (30)

Keep in mind that I haven’t been able to see Battle of Gods since it has not been released in the U.S. Aside from speculation, I’ve received the information that I’ll present below from Youtube movie summaries, the video clips that have been released for everyone to see, Dragonball Wiki’s website and other articles online about the movie.

Not sure if he really does have these markings on his chest but they do look kind of cool!

Not sure if he really does have these markings on his chest but they do look kind of cool!

So, please keep an open mind while reading this and hopefully it will be something that will make you think about the future of the series.

Here are some of the things that I’ll be covering in my blog;

  • The origins of the Super Saiyan God
  • How strong is a Super Saiyan God?
  • Can Super Saiyan God compete with the likes of Gogeta and Vegito?
  • Similarities between Goku’s first encounters with Bills and Korin
  • How powerful is Bills?

Along with other topics to help breakdown what this technique really is. I’ll be using facts and details from Dragonball, Dragonball Z and yes even Dragonball GT.

images (5)

Something else that I’d like to point out; this is not a hate blog about the Super Saiyan God because I know the technique has gotten A LOT of hate for just being a glorified version of the Kaio-Ken by looks alone.

Goku, have you been eating?

Goku, have you been eating?

Honestly, when I first saw Super Saiyan God Goku the last thing on my mind to describe it was the word; epic.

images (79)

Seeing him thinner than usual was an immediate turn off in terms of the coolness of the form. I mean we all know Goku’s eating habits and for him to just look like skin and bones (with a little muscle) seemed very lackluster.

Oh my gosh, Super Saiyan God!! Oh wait...

Oh my gosh, Super Saiyan God!! Oh wait…

I mean I can see why people would generally assume it was the Kaio-Ken or an advanced level of the technique.

Seriously, it is not the first time Goku used a crimson aura power-up to fight a powerful purple opponent…

Purple bad guy...wait is that Bills?!?! Oh wait...

Purple bad guy…is that Bills?!?! Oh wait…

I wasn’t impressed by it at all; just going off of the appearance of Goku.

images (68)

The way the movie was written it seemed that GT was being “written out” by Akira Toriyama. I mean it was non-canon to begin with but still.

There were several elements that make it clear that with Battle of Gods being canon it was designed to specifically get fans to forget about the non canon Dragonball GT;

images (80)

The Pilaf Gang was turned into kids thanks to a faulty wish to be young again that they made before the events of the film.

images (69)

This means that they would not be the old relics that we saw in the beginning of GT making it to the Lookout to use the Blackstar balls.

images (71)

Also, it would eliminate Goku being turned into a child.

battleofgods_screenshot

Based on Sheron’s story about the Super Saiyan God, we know that there was at least ONE that appeared before the events of Battle of Gods.

images (63)

It appeared on Planet Vegeta to stop the violence of the evil Saiyans on Planet Vegeta but failed due to the form’s time limit. Given that the Saiyans as a whole were barbaric it is hard to imagine that there were at least 6 good-hearted Saiyans who would be able to help one of the 6 ascend on the legendary form.

As I mentioned in my other blog about Bardock’s link to the Saiyan and Tuffle race;

images (86)

The story King Kai told Goku about Planet Vegeta’s destruction might be linked to the Super Saiyan God. The fact that a guardian/kami of Planet Vegeta saw the evil deeds of the Saiyans and decided to stop it by destroying the planet is similar to the reason that the Super Saiyan God appeared in the first place.

images (88)

This guardian decided to use meteors to destroy the Planet Vegeta.

images (95)

The cover-up story by Frieza’s solider who contacted Vegeta while he was out on a mission said that it was a giant meteor that destroyed the planet.

images (86)

Raditz told this same story to Goku when he first arrived on Earth.

images (87)

I know in one of his (filler) flashbacks, Vegeta revealed to Raditz and Nappa that he KNEW Frieza was the one to blow up the planet.

Dodoria3

However, when Dodoria told him on Namek that it was Frieza who did in the Saiyans and their home world, Vegeta was SHOCKED and enraged to learn this.

images (81)

images (82)

In return, he destroyed the fleeing solider as he tried to escape the Saiyan’s wrath.

Of course it is up for debate as to whether or not the Guardian in King Kai’s story even existed.

images (32)

Remember he was adamant against Goku or any of his friends from going after Frieza.

images (89)

So, he either made up the story to cover up Frieza’s hand in Planet Vegeta’s destruction, had no idea about Frieza’s dealings in the planet blowing up and was just going off of things he might have heard or he did know about the planet having an actual guardian and just assumed that he was the reason for the planet blowing up.

Now this picture has been floating around since the form was introduced;

Interesting theory

Interesting theory

It compares the Kaio-Ken to the Super Saiyan God form with some very convincing theories as to how the form was the inspiration for the Kaio-Ken.

images (83)

This actually makes sense seeing as how the Kaio-Ken was a technique that even King Kai himself was unable to master.

However, it was something that Goku was not only able to master BUT take it 10x higher than King Kai allowed him too.

He originally said not to go above an x2 Kaio-Ken.

images (85)

Goku had to take it up to an x3 in order to overpower Vegeta

Kaioken_x4_Kamehameha

Then he went to an x4 to win their beam collision

images (96)

Later on after training in 100x gravity on his way to Namek, it seems that he increased his durability and stamina enough to withstand a x10 Kaio-Ken

images (52)

Finally, he was able to utilize a x20 Kaio-Ken however it only lasted for seconds when used against Frieza; most likely due to Goku being in a damaged condition when using it

images (53)

Then another fight (filler) introduced a new concept; using the Kaio-Ken while in the Super Saiyan stated called the “Super Kaio-Ken!”

It doubled Goku’s Full Power Super Saiyan strength making him 100x stronger than his base form; basically the equivalent of Goku if he were a Super Saiyan 2.

images (63)

However as with the x20 Kaio-Ken, he could only hold the form for a few seconds.

Another interesting piece of information is Pikkon’s special technique;

images (80)

The Burning Shoot attack

Considering that King Kai’s “rival” was West Kai, it makes sense that he would not want to be outdone and decided to teach his student(s) a power boosting technique.

images (85)

It stands to reason that East Kai’s students being so weak compared to West and King Kai’s students, they wouldn’t have been able to master the technique like Goku or Pikkon did.

images (84)

Not to mention South Kai didn’t exactly have powerful fighters in his galaxy to brag about…

There are some similarities and differences between the Kaio-Ken and Burning Shoot techniques;

  • Goku is surrounded by a crimson aura
  • Pikkon is surrounded is consumed in flames
  • Pikkon’s power-up seemed only momentary
  • Goku’s Kaio-Ken is only momentary; depending on the durability of his body and the level of the technique he is using it at
  • Both techniques drastically increase the user’s speed, power, defense, etc.

images (90)

It is unknown if Pikkon can increase the Burning Shoot to multiple levels but regardless as to whether he can or not, he is naturally powerful and with that technique this guy is truly a contender for the Super Saiyans!

images (82)

He was more powerful than a Full Power Super Saiyan Goku!

He only lost because the Warp Kamehameha knocked him out of the ring.

images (94)

If it was a fight to the finish instead of an arena knockout then I’d say Pikkon would have won.

It doesn’t surprise me that the move is different than the Kaio-Ken, West Kai probably figured that if he were going to teach his students the same move as King Kai, he’d want to add his own special touch to it.

images (93)

One last thing about Pikkon’s lessons under West Kai, if he did learn the Burning Shoot from West Kai then it stands to reason that he also learned the Thunder Flash from his as well.

images (70)

It can be seen as West Kai’s ultimate attack like how the Spirit Bomb is King Kai’s ultimate move taught to his students.

Both the Burning Shoot and Thunder Flash are fire element techniques.

images (91)

Also, West Kai said not to use the Thunder Flash unless he was far away from his opponent in order to not burn up the audience.

However, this didn’t happen…

Kind of like how Goku disobeyed King Kai’s warning of not going above a x2 Kaio-Ken

images (93)

Pikkon did the same by using the Thunder Flash while close up…

images (13)

Arqua’s ultimate attack was Water-based due to him being a creature that excels in water. It seems that he is possibly East Kai’s greatest fighter so it stands to reason that teaching him a Fire-element technique would be useless

Looks like a Cell/Frieza fusion doesn't it?

Looks like a Cell/Frieza fusion doesn’t it?

South Kai’s ultimate fighter is either Torbie

images (15)

Or his new student Papoi

Whether or not they knew a Super Saiyan God-like technique to temporary boost their power is unknown

Now with Planet Vegeta being in King Kai’s portion of guardianship, if the other 3 Kais did know about the SS God, it would have probably been by them hearing about it somehow or sensing the form’s great power or something like that.

TheKais

That would be the only reason they would all try to come up with their own variations of the technique in order to power-up their students the best way that they could

Overall, this is an interesting theory and it is up to personal opinion as to whether or not you feel that it is credible.

Aside from the Kaio-Ken, there is another form that some people compare Super Saiyan God to;

Screenshotsdbzmovie4_636

False Super Saiyan

This is where we look into territory that is also VERY believable!

In Lord Slug, we see Goku in a really tight spot against the Super Namek and he is badly beaten.

images (51)

When Slug was about to deliver the final blow, Goku catches his hand and looks like a possessed man looking for blood.

He powers up with a red/golden aura and charges in easily beating up the Namek.

FalseSSJGoku2

To me it seemed that Goku was SO close to ascending to the Super Saiyan level. It seemed that he had the right motivation because he powered up due to his desire to save his friends and family from dying of the Terra-freeze planet created by Lord Slug.

Even King Kai questions if Goku had in fact become the Super Saiyan of Legend. That means that he had heard of the legend of the Super Saiyan before!

images (16)

Moving forward, it doesn’t seem that he knew about the Super Saiyan God because when Bills and Wiss asked King Kai and Goku about the form neither of them knew what they were talking about.

images (8)

I suppose that he must have heard about the legend of the Super Saiyan that was told down the lineage of the Frost Demon clan from Chilled to Frieza and his family.

That being said, we can rule out the possibility of Super Saiyan God being what King Kai was referring to in Lord Slug.

The real question that I would like to have answered; how strong is the Super Saiyan God transformation/form?

images (6)

Based on summaries on the movie itself, Goku was using 80% against Bills. He was holding his own but it was clear that Bills had the advantage even cutting the Saiyan god’s cheek.

images (1)

So, eventually Goku turned it up to 100% but it was still not enough to overcome the God of Destruction; we never see Goku draw blood from Bills.

images (17)

In the end, it is revealed that Bills was only using 70% of his maximum in order to defeat Goku.

That left him in an exhausted state with only 30% left in him, but it can be argued that he was not even in a condition where he could access that much of his power.

When he decided to destroy the earth after winning against Goku, he charged up a Ki blast to put an end to the planet but…

images (46)

…it was only enough to destroy a small rock!

lkhjk

Now let’s say that it was in fact his 30% power; that wouldn’t be more powerful than an Ascended Super Saiyan Vegeta (Super Vegeta) because if you remember his Final Flash attack was MORE than enough to destroy the plant.

images (20)

So, was his Galick Gun back in the Saiyan Saga but I don’t think I’d sell Bills that short in terms of power.

images (90)

I mean think about Frieza when we went to his 100% power;

Freeza_Full_Power

He was exhausted and even at 100% his power was falling rapidly due to his 50%-70% self getting beaten by Super Saiyan Goku.

images (11)

The same can be said of Bills because he had been running around fighting Goku in that long battle that it is understandable that he wouldn’t be able to concentrate enough Ki to blow up Earth.

images (8)

I mean Frieza tried blowing up Namek (in a weakened condition) and we all know how well that went; 5 minutes? Please…

Bills is reported to be the strongest character in the 7th Universe; the DB universe that we know of.

Bills; Wait, so you are a guy?

Bills; Wait, so you are a guy?

His power is second only to his attendant and martial arts instructor; Wiss

A lot of fans were upset to know that a purple cat is more powerful than their Saiyan favorites; Super Saiyan Gogeta and Vegito

images (17)

Yes, it is the time! The time to determine how Bills and Super Saiyan God Goku stack up to the titans of fusion in the DB universe!

images (21)

Super Saiyan 3 is 400 times more powerful than a base form Saiyan.

images (41)

At the beginning of the movie, Bills made SS3 Goku look like Yamcha because he was unable to land a single blow on Bills and he was taken out with one pressure point karate chop to the neck.

images (27)

Call me a girl one more time Bills!

This was similar to how Wiss knocked out Bills at the end of the movie to make him sleep for another 3 years.

images (25)

Super Saiyan God is said to be more powerful than a SS3 but we don’t know by how much. Considering that it took Bills 70% of his maximum to take out SS God Goku while it appeared that it took little to no effort in order to defeat SS3 Goku it can be assumed that it is far more powerful than a SS3.

images (31)

When we look at some minor details, we can see that SS3 Goku vs. Bills was similar to Goku’s first encounter with Korin another cat-like deity.

images (32)

Goku had just experience a near-death beating from Mercenary Tao.

dbz114-38

In order to increase his power for their next encounter, he climbed up Korin’s Tower in order to get his hands on the Sacred Water

SACRED WATER?!?!?!!

SACRED WATER?!?!?!!

No, Garlic Jr. not THAT Sacred Water…

s3e9

THIS SACRED WATER; that turned out to be nothing more than ordinary tap water.

1001558_669451536407562_1332196494_n

During his first attempts to get the water from the craft cat, Goku was unable to land a finger on the elusive kitty. Even with the Afterimage, Korin was easily able to outmaneuver the kid Saiyan.

Finally, he was able to get the bottle thanks to learning how to read and anticipate his opponent’s movement.

images (73)

The end result; Goku tripled his power by learning to sense his opponent’s moves, climbing up the tower twice to increase his speed remember Korin dropped his Dragonball on purpose to make him climb up again (much faster than the first time) and all of that made Goku a better fighter in just 3 days.

images (34)

He was able to overpower Tao!

images (69)

This made the mercenary go up the tower himself but was tricked by the crafty cat with plain water and made him think that he had gained more power by breaking one of the pillars with his cane to make it look like the Dodon Ray had done the job.

images (33)

He was able to land some hits on Goku…

images (68)

BUT in the end, he met his demise by his own bomb

images (70)

However, he returned as a cyborg looking for revenge

images (71)

Only to be defeated by Tien

He appeared in some DBZ filler but that is not important to the point that I’m trying to make.

Now, let’s compare Goku’s training with Korin to his first fight with Bills;

  • Goku was up against a cat-like god
  • He was unable to land a single punch
  • He was defeated and outmaneuvered with ease

images (29)

Something else that is important to remember is that Goku was unable to sense Bills’ movements just like he was unable to read Korin’s (until he took Korin’s words to heart and learned how to do it).

images (7)

King Kai said that because they were “gods” Goku was unable to sense the godly energy signature that was coming from Bills or Wiss.

That was until he became a “god” himself after achieving Super Saiyan God

vegito_buu

In order to estimate how powerful SS God is compared to SS3 we can look at Vegito (base form) vs. Buuhan (Super Buu; Gohan Absorbed).

The fused Saiyan was easily able to overpower the Majin.

images (39)

He was able to take whatever Buu could dish out and he was even able to beat him to a pulp

images (42)

However, Buu was unable to scratch Vegito even with several melee assaults. The Saiyan smirked saying that the only reason he was willingly taking damage was to test out his new body.

Final_Kamehameha

It was clear that he was able to generate enough Ki to kill Buu and this was seen with his Final Kamehameha (or Big Bang Kamehameha depending on what source you use to look up DB information).

images (43)

After Buu used his giant energy ball that was more than enough to crack the planet in half

images (40)

It was clear that Vegito was more than capable of defeating his powerful foe.

By breaking down Buuhan’s power we can determine how much more powerful than a Super Saiyan 3 he is; (this is my personal opinion based on the show itself)

250px-MajinBuuSuperNV.

Super Buu alone was more powerful than Super Saiyan 3 Goku

images (50)

Mystic Gohan was more powerful than Goku since he was effortlessly able to defeat Super Buu

2818025833_5e6e20f8c3

Piccolo who I measure to be around the power of an Ascended Super Saiyan along with Goten and Trunks being Super Saiyans would make them around the power range of a Super Saiyan 2 and that is ¼ the power of a Super Saiyan 3.

180px-MajinBuuSuperPiccoloGohanGotenTrunksNV

That being said when you add them all together; Buuhan is higher than 2 SS3s put together but lower than 3 of them.

images (44)

Meaning that base form Vegito is AT LEAST 3 or 4 times more powerful than a Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

images (18)

Now, when he decided to take it up a notch by going Super Saiyan that increased his already incredible power level by 50!

I mean he was able to take on Buu even in base form like the Old Kai said; there was no need to go Super Saiyan due to the Potara Fusion being more than enough to take on Buu.

images (38)

When he went Super Saiyan, he was able to make Buu look like Hercule fighting Cell.

images (54)

The question still remains however; how much stronger is SS God Goku when compared to his SS3 persona?

I think Vegito and/or Gogeta would help with this illustration.

images (22)

Alright, sources confirm that SS4 Gogeta is DOZENS of times more powerful than a regular or non-fused SS4.

images (66)

Meaning that Goku and Vegeta would not have a prayer of winning against their SS4 fused counterpart!

images (20)

At first, I thought that the only reason this was true was because Gogeta was a SS4 BUT if you look at Vegito for example and his SS levels when compared to Goku or Vegeta’s it does make a lot of sense.

Earlier, I mentioned that in base form Vegito is at least 3 times more powerful than SS3 Goku.

Let’s take the SS multiplying table and see what we come up with when comparing a SS3 Vegito to a SS3 Goku;

  • Vegito base form = 3 SS3 Goku(s)
  • Super Vegito (50x base power) = 150 SS3 Goku(s)
  • SS2 Vegito (2x Super Saiyan power) = 300 SS3 Goku(s)
  • SS3 Vegito (4x Super Saiyan 2 power) = 1200 SS3 Goku(s)

zxcvzc

So, with that being said a SS3 Vegito is at least 100 dozen times stronger than SS3 Goku! I know these numbers seem ridiculous but seriously, they do make sense. It just took me forever to realize it because I’ve never calculated it before.

images (8)

I mean it is confirmed that Bills IS stronger than Super Gogeta or Super Vegito but we don’t know by how much. Remember it took 70% of his power to best SS God Goku but we don’t know if he’d need to use more in order to defeat either one of these Super Saiyan fusions.

Super Saiyan God is powerful but I don’t know if it would give Goku a power increase that is 100s of times more powerful than his SS3 form.

And remember when they say Bills is more powerful than either fused being, it is only measured by their SS transformations not by their ascended SS forms!

images cvbxcb

Let’s try another equation but this time let’s just Gogeta. In V-Jump his power is measured to be 2,500,000,000. Personally, I think this is nowhere near his maximum but let’s just use this number. Also, it is said that Super Vegito is in the power level range of a Super Saiyan 4.

images (21)

These 2 Super Saiyan fusions are said to be close in power so with that in mind for simplicity’s sake we’ll say that Super Saiyan Gogeta is equal to one Super Saiyan 4.

  • Super Saiyan Gogeta = 1 SS4
  • SS2 Gogeta = 2 SS4s
  • SS3 Gogeta = 8 SS4s
  • SS4 Gogeta = 80 SS4s

1751375-ssj4gogeta

That is at least 6 dozen times more powerful than an un-fused SS4. I know that is way below Super Saiyan 3 Vegito’s measurements compared to Super Saiyan 3 Goku but remember that I feel 2 and a half billion is not Gogeta’s max as a Super Saiyan not to mention his regular SS power is equal to 1 SS4 when compared to base form Vegito who is equal to at least 3 SS3(s).

n,bm

Goku and Vegeta have proven time after time that as individuals they are both capable of incredible feats.

dyty

But when you put them together, they make even the most powerful villains in the series seem like nothing.

bc vcb

They beat them up and you can tell that they are just fooling around knowing that they could defeat the likes of Buuhan or Omega Shenron in less than 5 seconds if they wanted to.

gogeta_and_vegeto_ssj3_by_maniaxoi-d4jb0y1

Bills is powerful but does he have what it takes to content with the likes of a SS3 Gogeta or Vegito?

My guess is no, but of course that does not say anything about Wiss.

I'm the strongest in the universe!

I’m the strongest in the universe!

We know he is more powerful than Bills but we don’t know HOW powerful. Seeing him take out Bills as easily as the cat-god took out SS3 Goku at the beginning of the film makes me shudder about his true power.

images (48)

Yes, Bills was in an exhausted state when he was attacked by Wiss, but who is to say that he couldn’t know out Bills that easily even if he was at 100%.

Something else to consider is the power of these other gods from the other 11 universes and if they are more powerful than Bills then it is possible that we might get to see things that we haven’t before;

Vegito

SS2 Vegito and Gogeta

dgdg

SS3 Vegito and Gogeta

kiuu

Even a SS God Fusion

images (4)

Or as I mentioned before; an advanced stage of SS God that has yet to be tapped into!

images (24)

As a matter of fact having Gogeta appear in a canon movie rather than the non-canon Fusion Reborn would FINALLY make him canon after so many years!

images (9)

Another good question that fans have been contemplating is whether or not Super Saiyan God is it. What I mean by this is; does this form/technique have more behind it like a higher transformation that Goku and the others do not know about yet.

I think it is possible.

Why?

images (42)

Remember Goku and the others ascended past the normal SS transformation

Well, let’s take a look at some other “temporary” techniques and forms that allow increased stats for the user but were then trumped in power by the introduction of an even more powerful method of powering up that allows either the same or more power but with less drawbacks to the user;

Kaio-Ken was introduced as a temporary power-up

images (84)

The drawbacks depend on how powerful the person using it is or the condition of their body when using it

images (58)

It was then trumped by the Super Saiyan transformation which allows a 50x power up as opposed to the Kaio-Ken only being x20 (or at least from what we saw in the series)

images (55)

Super Saiyan 3 was a temporary power-up

I estimate Goku being able to hold the form was at least 10 minutes

images (23)

Gotenks can hold it for 5 minutes

And it all boils down to whether the user is dead or living due to the energy consumption of the form because of the incredible power and speed that it grants the person who uses it

images (57)

Goku can use the technique but…

Old_Buu_Emerges_-_Goku_reverts

It leaves him in an exhausted state after he reverts back to his base form

images (79)

It was trumped by Super Saiyan 4 which is 10 times stronger than a SS3

images (64)

The Fusion Dance is a temporary power-up

images (32)

It only lasts for 30 minutes

images (33)

Or even less depending on the power of the fused being; SS4 Gogeta only lasted 10 minutes

Trunks; Are you serious?

Trunks; Are you serious?

Not to mention that it requires an hour recharge time before the users can fuse again

Say what?!?

Say what?!?

It has complex synchronized movements that must be done perfectly

If not there is the risk of a failed fusion;

images (30)

One is fat

images (31)

And the other is old and frail

Potara-earring_(1)

It was trumped by the Potara Earring method of fusion

images (41)

Unlike the Fusion Dance, it only requires the users to put the earrings on opposite ears to instantly fuse them together

You mean I'm stuck this way!?!

You mean I’m stuck this way!?!

The main drawback is the fusion being permanent

So, with all of that being said it is possible that Super Saiyan God is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of a new found method of power.

I mean look at how someone achieves the power begin with; it takes the energy of 5 pure-hearted Saiyans to make one of them transform

images (24)

As Piccolo pointed out during their first attempt at helping Goku, it is more than simply gathering Ki and making Goku stronger it takes something more.

180px-GohanSuperSaiyanTheCellGames02

That reminded me of Gohan trying to learn how to go Super Saiyan and Goku pointing out that it took more than raising Ki in order to transform it takes the right motivation.

images (2)

With a fiery eruption of power, the end result is a smooth and calm aura is somewhat of a quiet storm of the true power within finally being unlocked.

I want to become a Super Saiyan God too!!!!!

I want to become a Super Saiyan God too!!!!!

Bills did mention that Goku and Vegeta were eventually going to become formidable opponents in the near future. I mean in the movie, Vegeta’s rage pushed his power level as a Super Saiyan above Super Saiyan 3 Goku!

images (16)

Remember that Goku promised Vegeta that the next time it became necessary, he was going to be the one who became a Super Saiyan God

images (72)

Speaking on temporary or lackluster methods of powering up, Korin’s Sacred Water was just plain tap water. However, when King Piccolo arrived he revealed that there was something called the Ultra Divine Water.

If a person were to drink it (and survive) it would grant them incredible power and strength.

Goku drank it and survived!

images (75)

It was enough to raise his power and senses dramatically

images (74)

This allowed him to raise his power equally to King Piccolo (both were clocked at 260) and ultimately he was able to defeat him

Again, there are some similarities between Super Saiyan God and these other methods of powering up with one method seeming temporary or small but it is trumped by something else discovered down the line

images (10)

One thing that confused me during the movie was that Goku’s time as a Super Saiyan God ran out but he was still able to hold his own against Bills

According to DB Wiki, Goku had felt what it was like to have that god-like power and he had gotten used to the feeling. That explains how he was able to continue fighting as a regular Super Saiyan but still give Bills a run for his money.

images (36)

Goku saying that he had gotten used to the form and was still able to access its incredible power was similar to Cell regenerating from his self-destruction in his Perfect form despite blowing himself up as Semi-Perfect Cell.

images (37)

He mentioned that his cells had gotten a taste of his perfect power and stored it away allowing him to once again access it when needed resulting in Super Perfect Cell.

images (26)

When Bills was about to destroy Goku and the earth with his ultimate attack it seemed that all was lost

images (18)

Goku eventually blacked out but similar to his vision fighting Frieza, he thought about his loved ones and friends which gave him the power he needed to temporary turn into a SS God again and absorb the attack

Similar to his temporary use of x20 Kaio-Ken against Frieza

images (99)

It left him in an exhausted state and he had no choice but to surrender the battle. That begs the question as to whether or not he would have ended the match in a draw if he didn’t surrender because remember Bills himself was exhausted

Do I believe this movie will have a sequel?

Yes, given how successful it was in Japan due to promotional tactics and how the fans responded.

I'm a black man that loves chicken and DBZ. Put them together and you have a masterpiece!

I’m a black man that loves chicken and DBZ. Put them together and you have a masterpiece!

Not to mention the way the fight ended left it open to a sequel or the series being revived.

I mean when have we seen Goku lose to a villain and that be the end of it?

maxresdefault

I mean the only time I can remember him surrendering during a fight was against Cell because he KNEW he couldn’t win.

images (39)

Even then we soon found out that it was only because he knew that Gohan could handle it.

With his promise that Vegeta would be the next SS God and Bills waking up again in 3 years, there is no reason why there should not be another movie.

images (3)

Not to mention Bills informed Goku of 11 other universes in existence that contain Gods of Destruction as well; according to some sources it is said that Bills is the WEAKEST of the 12 gods and that says a lot about the possibilities of these other gods being introduced in the future.

I’m sure if Goku knows about them there would be not stopping him or Vegeta from going out to fight against stronger opponents.

images (75)

I mean Vegeta is one who never lets Goku gets off on a promise that he makes. Remember when Goku came back from the dead for a day but had to leave the tournament to fight the threat of Majin Buu?

images (76)

Vegeta followed him because he and Goku were matched up to fight in the tounrmanet and Vegeta’s only purpose of entering was to fight Goku.

So, if Goku goes off to the other universes to face these gods then it would not surprise me if Vegeta went along with him.

images (77)

Something else that I’ve always pondered was whether or not Akira came up with the idea of Super Saiyan God BEFORE the events of ScrewAttack’s Death Battle that caused a lot of controversy due to Superman defeating Goku.

Superman Prime; God-Like Status

Superman Prime; God-Like Status

It could be his way of saying; “Top this Superman!!”

According to DB Wiki, during an interview with one of the movie’s character designers; the original concept for Super Saiyan God had the form being more muscular, wearing a cape, and with a hairstyle in-between Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan 4.

Let’s see;

images (73)

Superman has a cape

Inconsistent in muscle size but he is muscular

Inconsistent in muscle size but he is muscular

Superman is muscular

This is what we want!

This is what we want!

And it would be interesting to see Goku with a mid-way hairstyle between the two Super Saiyan forms.

images (78)

Really, I can see how it can be speculated that this was Akira’s “revenge” for the Death Battle results.

images (100)

I must admit that there is one more thing about the Super Saiyan God that makes me both cringe and also gives me hope that Goku will “ascend” to the next level of Super Saiyan God (if there is one) or just reach a higher power in general; Goku did NOT reach Super Saiyan God on his own!

kakarotto_the_super_saiyan_god_by_omaruindustries-d608n29

It took the power of 5 other Saiyans to help him reach it. If I remember correctly, when Bills asked him what it felt like being a god, Goku literally just said that it wasn’t satisfying because it was something that he could not reach on his own and it took the power of others to make him ascend.

Maybe Goku will find his own SS God power someday

Maybe Goku will find his own SS God power someday

THIS is the Goku I like just hating to reach a power that he feels is undeserved, I mean when I heard that he used the Dragonballs to learn about how to ascend that just made he hate SS God even more!

images (7)

If you ask me going Super Saiyan was the only time he “needed help” that was when he needed an emotional experience strong enough to help him break the barrier and transform.

images (11)

Seeing Piccolo shot with a Death Beam meant for him

images (6)

images (10)

And finally seeing his best friend (who couldn’t be revived twice) die before his eyes is what made him ascend

images (3)

Going SS2 and SS3 was really more about training and looking deep inside to reach the power to transform; he reached both forms while he did his intense training sessions on Grand Kai’s planet. Seeing him being able to transform to SS2 at will unlike Gohan who needed the right motivation kind of proves that even if Goku DID need the right motivation he was able to control it and just ascend to the form when need while SS3 he told Goten and Trunks was simply looking inside to reach the form.

True, it took emotional factors to help Gohan transform but remember in Goku’s flashback in the Time Chamber, it was due to their 20 hour non-stop training session along with Gohan”s refusal to give up that helped him true Super Saiyan 2.

images (12)

He was only able to hold the form for a few seconds before passing out but if you ask me it was due to him being in such a weakened state that he was unable to fully transform

images (15)

SS4 just needed him to gain control as a Golden Ape; thanks to Pan in order to transform

images (13)

If Super Saiyan God is meant to be a counter to Superman or Superman-Prime then I am a bit disappointed.

images (2)

I mean the Justice League doesn’t have to surround Superman in order for him to gather power

wwc03-sup

He just needs the sun

images (5)

Goku doesn’t need an outside stimulus to get more powerful; unless you count Super Saiyan 4 because he needs a moon or orbiting planet to gain Blutz Waves in order to hold the form

images (4)

Unlike Vegeta, who needed to rely on a machine because he was scientifically able to re-grow his tail but once his body runs out of Blutz Waves he reverts back to base form and doesn’t have his tail anymore

super_saiyan_god_fusion__by_nassif9000-d5yun9k

The only way I’ll find it somewhat acceptable is for Goku to fuse with Vegeta to gain more power instead of needing everyone else to help him

68640-dragon-ball-z-true-saiyans-fight-alone-episode-screencap-9x25

I mean against Kid Buu he REFUSED to fuse because he believed it would not be fair to fight an un-fused being and due to Saiyan Pride he and Vegeta opted to fight alone rather than together

images (14)

I’m sure he felt the same way fighting Bills who was just an un-fused god of great power.

Superishinlon

I mean Buuhan was Super Buu fused with his friends and sons, Cell was fused with Androids and all of the Z-Fighter’s DNA samples and Omega Shenron was all 7 Shadow Dragons put together! So getting outside power or fusion was understandable because he was fighting a fused being himself.

images (27)

So, what do you think of my evaluation? Do you think there is some truth behind it or similar to the picture above, do you think it is ridiculous?

In any case, it is always fun to speculate these kinds of subjects about this incredible series.

If Bills DOES get to fight a rematch with Goku do you think he would win?

images (28)

Remember he is out of commission for at least 3 years giving Goku and the others time to train.

Bad boy(s)!

Bad boy(s)!

Can he put a good spanking to these Saiyans who are breaking the boundaries of power ranking among the gods themselves?

images (16)

Hopefully we will learn more about Bills, Wiss, Goku and the Super Saiyan God form in the new Battle of Z game and when the movie finally does comes to the U.S.

Please feel free to leave any thoughts that you have in the comment section along with things that you think I might have missed and would help with figuring out the power and possible advanced stages of the Super Saiyan God.

Young Justice: Do you think Kaldur and Artemis could ever become a couple?

by Jeremy Carden

Here we have the primary leader of the Team and the first member of the Team suspected to be a traitor. How in the world could they ever be hooked up romantically? images (14) When you look at the facts these two have a lot more in common than most people realize. I’ll be going over their similarities both on and off the Team, family members and issues along with anything else I feel is worthy of note.

Going through some details from both seasons 1 and 2, Artemis and Kaldur may have more similarities with each other than they did with the ones that they loved and lost; Wally and Tula. images (8) images (13) *NOTE: I haven’t read the entire comic book series that goes along with the show, so there are only one or two bits from the comic book entries that I will use in my evaluation meaning most of my evidence will come from the TV series.*

Both of them have daddy issues; ,. Aqualad’s biological father Black Manta was working as an agent of the Light. images (14) In Young Justice: Invasion, he replaced Ocean Master as one of the 7 core members at the Light’s table. images (9) Sportsmaster was also an agent of the Light under the title of the Light’s enforcer. images (8) In Young Justice: Invasion, instead of being “promoted” like Manta, HE was the one who was replaced by Deathstroke. images (5) Ironically enough, it was Aqualad and Artemis’ deception that caused this coup in the Light’s hierarchy considering the animosity between Sportsmaster and the Light (more specifically Black Manta) was due to Manta’s son “killing” his daughter without his permission.

Going even deeper into the psychological impact their fathers had on them; Manta and Sportsmaster wanted nothing more than to “mold” their children into what they wanted them to be. ; Black Manta was willing to do whatever it took even physical persuasion (beating the crap out of his son) to mold Kaldur into the sinister villain that he turned out to be. He even says in “Summit” that he would beat it into his skull if necessary. images (21) Sportsmaster (according to Artemis) made his daughters learn “the hard way” that disobedience would not be tolerated; hinting that he trained them to the extreme even as children to become a part of “the life” that their mother wanted them to avoid at all costs.

One of the most interesting pieces of evidence came in season 2; Black Manta thought that Tigress and his son were romantically involved or at least had strong feelings for each other.

This was mentioned when Tigress volunteered to go to the surface to abduct Miss M. to come and fix the damage she had done to Kaldur’s mind. images (10) Manta even goes on to say that he would send Deathstroke along just in case because he felt that his son would never forgive him if something happened to her. Young-Justice-Invasion-Episode-9-Darkest-Tigress-and-Aqualad-1 I can see how he would get the idea; these two were ALWAYS around each other. tumblr_inline_mg7e5hmlIb1r0ywfa Kaldur had handpicked her as his trusted lieutenant and right-hand on missions. images (12) images (9) Tigress was by his side the entire time Miss M. was fixing his mind (she needed to be in order to help her with the process). Being his father, it is understandable why he feels he could pick up on this kind of thing. tyut Of course it was all for good reason because these two were undercover and had to have each other’s back at all times in order for their mission to succeed but more importantly; for them to survive.

Another piece of evidence of their similar family issues was when the final showdown battling their fathers took place; images (19) After Artemis finally beat Sportsmaster (with help from some of the Apocalyptic weaponry) she was seen by Kid Flash to be staring deeply at her defeated father. It seemed like a look of guilt, pity and regret.

This was the same longing look that Kaldur had after he defeated his father in “Summit” except it was Nightwing who noticed him standing over his defeated father. Artemis seemed to perk up holding her father’s mask as a “souvenir” for the Trophy Room and smiling at Kid Flash. j However in Kaldur’s case, after his friends told him that their mission was a success crippling the Light’s forces Kaldur finally accepted that this was a victory rather than a botched up assignment, he took one last look at his defeated father that made me think he was really feeling bad for beating him. uy Remember before these two even engaged in combat, he told Manta that he was conflicted because he had seen Manta’s noble side. There were many moments while working with his father that allowed Kaldur to see that he not only cared for him but he loved his son deeply. ryt One of the biggest moments of deception that let Kaldur see this was when he faked his recovering being a result of seeing his father in danger. Black Manta even goes on to tell the Light that he felt truly blessed for his son to be made whole again. Young-Justice-Invasion-Depths-8-Aqualad-Black-Manta The thing that hurt Manta the most was that he trusted Kaldur with everything he had. It was a real shame because he was one of the few “loving” parents seen in this show. hjj I mean he was one of the most emotionally challenged characters in Season 2, especially thinking that he son had died right in front of his eyes! Sportsmaster seemed to care more about his reputation as an enforcer than his daughters. o His only hint of caring was helping his daughter keep her true identity contained by destroying Manta’s submarine security equipment.

True, it wasn’t the hugs and verbal compliments that Manta gave his son but Crusher isn’t exactly what most would call the “caring type.”

One could argue that the only reason Sportsmaster helped was because Artemis (as Tigress) and Kaldur were making “chumps” out of Manta and the Light; basically doing his dirty work for him. Another similarity boils down to Artemis and Kaldur’s knowledge of their bloodlines; images (22) images (28) Artemis knew about her father and sister still living as criminals while her mother was an ex-con but decided to keep it that information a secret from the rest of the Team. Green_Arrow_introduces_Artemis Batman, Robin (unknown to Artemis until Usual Suspects) and Green Arrow (and likely Black Canary) knew her true lineage and decided to pass her off as Green Arrow’s niece. e9cd7dca In Kaldur’s case, he did not know that Black Manta was his biological father. From what he had been told, his father was one of Manta’s men who came to love a native of Atlantis and from that romance he was born. It wasn’t until later that he discovered that Aquaman had kept his true heritage a secret. upop We are never informed as to how and when he learned that Manta was his father but it was the perfect façade that would get him in on the Light’s side (along with the love of his life dying). Having him being angry at his mentor for keeping his true lineage a secret and his heart being broken from his love being taken away from him on one of the Team’s mission served as the PERFECT coverup as to why he decided to go rogue. cvxbc This was never seen (maybe it will be in the video game), but I want to see Kaldur when he first approached his father and how he even convinced him to let him join his side. images (20) So, they both came from “bad blood” but were able to break the family chain by joining the side of justice rather than criminal activity.

Another thing to point out is that at some point during their stay on the Team they doubted their abilities, dedication or drive to stay on the Team.

iuui

For Aqualad, it was when he felt torn between being leader and going back to Atlantis to be with Tula.

images

For Artemis, it was constantly feeling like she was a traitor (especially due to Red Arrow’s accusations). At the end of “Insecurities” she was confronted by her father and that was when her final choice had to be made.

Alright, so now that we’ve gotten the family similarities taken care of; let’s discuss their interaction and thoughts about each other.

uoio

It is interesting to note that aside from being by his side and taking care of him during his catatonic state in Season 2, she was by his side in Season 1 “Bereft” due to Psimon’s mental powers he had the past 6 months erased from his memory.

vbncn

Not to mention Miss M was too preoccupied thinking about Superboy to restore Aqualad’s memories so Artemis was there by his side.

images (15)

Artemis saved Kaldur from the molten lava in Dr. Fate’s castle, but didn’t miss a beat in scolding Wally for flirting with Miss M despite being seconds away from falling to their deaths by the lava.

It was also interesting to think about when Artemis first joined the team she had an attraction to Superboy.

l;

This kind of caused bad blood between her and Miss M (still not open with her feelings about Conner).

tumblr_m9v0cjI7Ph1qlx84to1_500

However, they eventually got over that little squabble and became like sisters.

k

Then in the next episode, it was kind of like they were trying to pair off with members of the team.

MV5BOTQzMDA0NjExN15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMDU0OTE2Ng@@._V1._SX640_SY360_

Artemis was trying to get Miss M to hook up with Aqualad only for her to comment that he was like a big brother to her. That is true since he kind of took a similar role that Robin did for Starfire in Teen Titans; he was teaching the alien about Earth customs.

ljk;l

He did the same for Superboy and in the process “knew that they were going to become a couple before they did.”

Miss M then mentions that Artemis and Wally would be the perfect couple because she is so full of passion and Wally is full of…it.

Of course in “Revelation” there was no way that I was going to pass up this moment;

images (4)

Only for Aqualad to comment that they shall make their own “fun”

Maneuver_Seven

…by using Maneuver 7!! (I’ve always wondered what the first 6 were….)

At one point, Aqualad was suspicious of Artemis in fact being a traitor but as time went on he got over it.

images (15)

He told Red Arrow, Red Tornado, Robin and Batman that fighting alongside his Team for so long that he didn’t think ANY of the members would betray them.

images (11)

Of course with all of that being said, I don’t think that Artemis would have gotten together with Kaldur BEFORE dating Wally or in Season 2 while they were undercover together for weeks (possibly even months).

jll

Now, I can’t say that they possibly won’t start dating after the events of the finale with Wally’s passing and Artemis’ hanging up her quiver to begin crime fighting as Tigress in order to give herself space between her life as Wally’s partner.

If there are any other moments in the series/comics that you feel are worthy of note, please feel free to mention them in the comment section below.

Also, your thoughts on this subject are welcome because I’d like to know how you feel about these two if they did start dating.

The Right One

The Right One

Ever have what you considered to be strong feelings for someone? You felt like you are on top of the world and you think that there is nothing that can top the feeling that you are experiencing at the moment. Writing poems, understanding the words to those sappy love songs, smiling for no reason at all are but a few of the habits experienced by someone in love.

However, there comes the time when you realize that the person who you thought was the right one wasn’t who he or she thought they were. Depression, stress, hopelessness and other forms of anxiety are the only emotions that cloud your mind. Not to mention picking up the pieces of your broken heart is a difficult task in itself. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though.

Remember those amazing emotions that you felt during your relationship or crush?…

Could Bulla and Pan surpass Goten and Trunks?

By Jeremy Carden

images (10)

Yes, I will be talking about the two female Saiyans in the show (well females with Saiyan blood in them).

images (13)

As a matter of fact, aside from Fasha they are the only female Saiyans that gets a memorable role in the show…

What I mean by them surpassing the boys is that since these two are born from “rivaling” families (to a certain extent), I think these two would be the female counterparts to what Goten and Trunks were.

images (12)

Of course the other difference is that unlike Goten, Pan’s father was Gohan not Goku.

images (50)

However, the end result is the same she is the newest addition to the Son family and along with that she has access to incredible power.

images (18)

Now, it seems that Pan is going to be born before Bulla due to the events of Battle of Gods with Videl being pregnant and Bulma not being shown or mentioned to be carrying a baby inside her.

Not to get off subject but I feel that the reason for Bulma getting pregnant again would most likely be due to Vegeta’s love for her. Whoa, why would I say something like that?

images (23)

Remember in Battle of Gods, when Bills slapped Bulma HARD, Vegeta got PISSED THE F*** OFF! That was when his Super Saiyan Ki (according to Roshi) surpassed even the power of Super Saiyan 3 Goku!! I think he said something like “How dare you hurt my BULMA!!!!”

images (16)

That was when he went into a fit of rage actually managing to land some hits on Bills something that SS3 Goku, Fat Buu, Mystic Gohan, Piccolo, SS Gotenks and that other Z-Fighters were unable to do!

images (10)

After the events of the movie, I can see these two having another “passion trip” like they did in the Android Saga but this time there would be more than just passion but true love behind it!

images (6)

In any case, back to the manner at hand; GT was a real shame not just because of the lack of character growth for Gohan and the other Saiyan hybrids but Bulla was just…useless.

images (11)

Her only moment of usefulness (similar to Pan having only one making her existence somewhat bearable) was getting Vegeta to shave his mustache.

images (8)

Pan’s only real use (aside from being annoying and messing stuff up) was her tears helping Goku reach SS4.

images (54)

Also, in Battle of Gods it was Pan (unborn) who helped Goku reach Super Saiyan God! Wow, she wasn’t even born and already she has one up’ed Bulla!

1503753-81861_buraevil

Pan was the one shown to actually have powers, true we see Bulla flying (once) but that was only when she was controlled by Baby. It is debatable as to whether or not she knew how to fly before. Let’s say that it was Trunks or Vegeta that taught her but we can’t be sure. If she learned how to fly, I’d imagine it was just for her to get to the mall faster than a car or one of the Capsule Planes could take her…

What a waste of Saiyan blood!

What a waste of Saiyan blood!

You know what the real shame is? Pan was only 25% Saiyan while Bulla was 50% Saiyan, talk about an utter waste of Saiyan blood and what is even worse is that aside from Ki training most likely from Gohan.

images (28)

She learned some martial arts from Mr. Satan and still proved to be more powerful in combat than Bulla!!

Hercule; I'm more powerful than a Saiyan?

Hercule; I’m more powerful than a Saiyan?

I don’t know what Bulla’s excuse for not fighting is but when you get out shined by one of Mr. Satan’s disciples (and possibly Mr. Satan himself), I don’t know what to say for you!

Pan guess what! I'm stronger than a Saiyan!!!!

Pan guess what! I’m stronger than a Saiyan!!!!

Bulma; My daughter is weaker than Mr. Satan???

Bulma; My daughter is weaker than Mr. Satan???

Pan and Goku; Uh-huh...

Pan and Goku; Uh-huh…

My life means nothing...

*face palms dashboard* My life means nothing…

I'm so ashamed...I disown you as a daughter!

I’m so ashamed…I disown you as a daughter!

OW! What was that for?! At least I'm not a cross dresser!

OW! What was that for?! At least I’m not a cross dresser!

Trunks; Can I pass as your daughter now dad?

Trunks; Can I pass as your daughter now dad?

SON OF A NAMEK!!!!!!

SON OF A NAMEK!!!!!!

Vegeta; That's it Bulma, we are having a third child and this time we'd better get it right!!

Vegeta; That’s it Bulma, we are having a third child and this time we’d better get it right!!

Vegeta should have pushed her like he did Trunks so he’d surpass Goten! I mean she is 50% Saiyan and her father is the Prince of All Saiyans!!!!!!!

Bulla_ss!!!

If anyone should have become a Super Saiyan it should have been her! Well just from genetics alone since she has 25% more Saiyan in her than Pan.

Of course being the daughter of one of the wealthiest companies in the world probably did nothing to motivate her to take the training route instead opting to go shopping, she seems like her mother.

images (19)

But at least in the DB and early DBZ days, Bulma never backed down from an adventure. She was spoiled but she was innovative, resourceful, adventurous, a genius even at 16, passionate, strong (well in a comedic sense especially when hitting Roshi) and had something that her daughter doesn’t seem to have; drive.

Bulma might have been deceptive, selfish and spoiled but when she saw something in life that she wanted, she went for it!

That was the whole reason she went to hunt down the Dragonballs; to get the prince of her dreams (and she got it many years later!).

images (18)

Bulla’s only drive is to shop at the mall…

images

Now if you want to talk about genetics similar to how people assume how Goten and Trunks were able to go SS very easily when they were young because Goku was most likely in his Full Power Super Saiyan form when he had sex with Chi-Chi.

images (24)

In Trunks’ case, it is kind of likely that Vegeta WAS able to go Super Saiyan when he was born or if he wasn’t he sure as heck was very close to it, he had the power level to go Super Saiyan but just not the right motivation.

images (20)

Let’s go down that route; Vegeta was able to go Super Saiyan 2 at the time of Bulla’s conception while Gohan was able to do the same BUT since he had his “Mystic abilities” that MIGHT point to Pan being conceived while having a father more powerful than Bulla’s but that is debatable depending on how you view the Mystic abilities playing a part in conception vs. Super Saiyan.

Because if you view it that way, that would mean Goten has FAR more potential than Trunks considering Full Power Super Saiyan Goku was WAY more powerful than Vegeta was prepping for the Android Saga or if he was in fact a Super Saiyan at the time of Trunks’ conception.

images (21)

But I digress, seeing that Gohan’s Mystic abilities would trump Vegeta’s power that would either give Pan more potential that Bulla or at least even up the playing field since she is 25% less Saiyan than Bulla.

images (22)

True, Bulla again does have more Saiyan blood BUT only one of her parents is a fighter; the 100% Saiyan Vegeta.

images (23)

While her mother is just a human.

images (28)

Videl is too but she spent most of her life studying martial arts and though she might not powerful by Saiyan standards or by the standards set by Human Z-Fighters like Krillin, Yamacha or Tien. She is still in the ranking of the top non-powered human.

images (30)

True, she can control her Ki for flight and short range Ki blasts but she doesn’t have super human strength or even the power to compete with Roshi (base power 139).

That does give Pan a bit more of a warrior/fighter heritage if you want to put it that way.

images (9)

And most likely, true to her father’s power she might have the potential to experience incredible fits of rage boosting her power greatly.

This was seen when she was fighting; (here are some examples)

images (7)

Great Ape Baby Vegeta

images (6)

Natt on M-2.

images (25)

I wouldn’t count the fight with Haze Shenron, honestly that was the only time I felt she was CLOSE to going Super Saiyan just by how pissed she was getting due to being insulted. The main reason she was not able to transform was most likely due to the energy sucking pollution by the 2-star dragon. It was probably what prevented her from getting her Ki in control to make the transformation; remember Goku couldn’t even go SS while in the area.

250px-Android18ImperfectCellSagaNV

Overall, I don’t think that Pan’s power level was enough to compete with #18 who is still arguably the strongest female character in the series.

Zangya3

Not counting Zangya since she was in Bojack Unbound and that was non-canon. But GT wasn’t canon either so…oh well who cares

But if she continued her training and found that right motivation this was sure to happen:

PanSSJ2-1

According to most sources, it was mainly due to the creator(s) of the show never really drawing illustrations. So, there was really no telling what a female Super Saiyan would look like.

images (1)

A great moment was in “Family Bonds” when she offered her power to help restore Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 energy. Hercule mentioned that she was a little girl not a Super Saiyan only for Kibito Kai to mention that she certainly has the heart of a Super Saiyan!

images (2)

Aside from genetics and whatnot, I think that these two could not only become more powerful than Goten and Trunks but I feel that they could become Super Saiyans faster than they did.

mngh

Why?

A sad fact of life that all men will hear at least once in their lives while they are children; girls mature faster than boys!

Seriously, that might do a lot in terms of helping these girls develop their abilities faster than Goten and Trunks!

Don’t believe me?

images (9)

Well do you remember what 4-year-old Pan did to her 17-year-old uncle Goten at the World Martial Arts Tournament?

gp2

Yeah the pictures pretty much speak for themselves…

images (1)

Now just because girls mature faster, that doesn’t necessarily mean that their power could exceed Goten and Trunks but in order for that theory to be made into fact, the boys would have to continue training instead of goofing off in times of peace…

images (4)

I mean we got a “ladies’ man” in Goten.

What am I doing with my life?

What am I doing with my life?

Trunks was running the family business for Bulma.

Now, if Pan and Bulla both trained hard then something tells me by the time they reached 7 or 8 (same ages of Trunks and Goten in the Buu Saga), they MIGHT be more powerful than them.

images (3)

Remember Gohan’s boastful comment when he told Goten that he was the youngest Super Saiyan in existence? He was shocked to see Goten (age 7) already has the ability to transform, but now imagine the look on his face to see his record broken by two little girls!

images (5)

In Son Goku & His Friends Return, it is estimated that both Goten and Trunks (base form) have power levels around 530,000 since the two soldiers from Frieza’s empire who have taken over since Frieza’s demise are said by Tarble to have the same power as “Frieza did back them” most likely referring to his 1st form because that would have been the only form that Tarble knew about.

images (11)

Going by those numbers, turning Super Saiyan would make both Goten and Trunks’ power level go to 26,500,000. Remember they were kids not men like their fathers when they turned Super Saiyan so that number is understandable; their dads didn’t reach those power levels until they were in their adult years (mid-20s for Goku and Vegeta was over 30!).

Now aside from female Super Saiyans there is something else that the girls would have to accomplish to further challenge the power of their male counterparts;

250px-GotenksNV

FUSION!

That would be incredible to see; a female Fusion Dance warrior!

images (8)

Seriously, I really hope that in the “revamp” of the series (if there is one or continuation) they explore the possibilities of making Bulla strong and do better with Pan’s development as a female fighter.

images (2)

Also take into consideration that Pan appeared to be the only living Z-Fighter 100 years after the events of the Baby Saga. There is no telling what kind of powers she achieved before becoming elderly.

images (25)

It was a real shame we didn’t see more father/daughter moments between Gohan and Pan.

images (13)

Or Bulla and Vegeta…

images

Not to mention any brother/sister moments with Trunks. Most of his screen time was him being seen with Pan.

What do you think?

College Dating #5: You Are Not Alone

This is the final part of my 5 blog series about college dating. The theme of this blog is realizing that you are not alone.

images (44)

No, no this isn’t about Michael Jackson’s hit song “You Are Not Alone.” This is for people who are single OR in a relationship. You are probably asking yourself; how come you know so much about relationship advice but you are single?

Well I guess I can speak from not just the experiences that I’ve had but the relationships I’ve seen in my lifetime whether it be between strangers or close friends of mine who I know found someone special.

Personally, I have been living the single life for about five years now. I’d say the main reason that I’m still single is because I haven’t found anyone that I feel compatible with. That being said, I think it is important for me to find someone who I can relate to because in the end looks will fade but the love of a good woman will not (if you treat her right).

So as a final blog of encouragement I want to reach out to everyone single or not. For the people who like me are still single and sometimes find yourself yearning for the love of a good woman (or man), buck up. All of this time that we have to ourselves is meant for us to work on the most important person that we can be in a relationship with; YOU!

Yes, “you” or yourself if you want to put it that way. I might have mentioned it in another blog about how a relationship shouldn’t be a scapegoat in order to make an escape from loneliness. Not to mention if you are not ok with yourself, how are you going to be able to show affection for someone else if you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin?

Don’t worry the right person will come around when you least expect it. I know I know I sound like a one of those people who give the same advice and repeat it numerous times like a broken record. The thing that makes me mad the most is that the people who tell me “the right person will come along, don’t worry, be patient, enjoy being single while you can!” are all in relationships!

That is like someone who is a millionaire (because they won the lottery) saying; “Don’t worry sometimes I miss the days when I only had $20 in my wallet…” What the heck is that supposed to mean?! It is like people who use hash tags on Facebook or a face without a nose, it makes no sense at all!

Ok, I’m going to list off some of the things that people in relationships tell me that I should be thankful for when comparing my single life to theirs since they are in relationships.

  1. “You should be happy because you have all of this free time on your hands! Me? I have to take my girl out to dinner, walk her to/from her classes and spend time with her when I wanna hang out with my friends…” And so on…
  2. “Are you upset because you are single?! At least you have money in your wallet to spend on yourself!!”
  3. “At least you don’t have someone breathing down your neck asking you 101 questions all the time!”
  • Where you going?
  • When are you getting back to your dorm?
  • Who are you talking to?
  • Who is that girl?!
  • Why didn’t you text me last night?
  • When can we go out again, I want to see you!  (Even though we just saw each other 30 minutes ago…)
  • Can you come over to my dorm window tonight so we can talk?
  • Do you think I’m fat?
  • When are we getting engaged?
  • How come you don’t buy me anything?!!
  • Can we hang out tonight? (Despite the fact that I have a truckload of homework to get done)

Here are my responses to the things that my friends in relationships tell me;

  1. Just because I have free time on my hands doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t enjoy the company of someone special.
  2. I’m a COLLEGE STUDENT! Any money that I do manage to get my hands on is usually spent on things for college like food, supplies for some random class project, books, fees for a club or something so I might have a little stashed away for a rainy day.
  3. Sometimes it is good to know that someone cares enough about you to ask how you are doing, what your plans are, etc. To a certain extent there is a thin line between caring and neediness and some girls like to dance too close on the boarder of both.

For the people in relationships right now, the only encouragement that you really need to hear is that everyone goes through the ups and downs of romance with their significant other from time to time. What man hasn’t wanted to strangle himself because it seems that every winking moment he has is spent with his girlfriend?

I think for the past 2 ½ years, I’ve had roommates who had girlfriends and they’d go out and I wouldn’t see them until it was curfew. That was usually because they would be with their girlfriends most of the time. I can’t remember one day when they didn’t sigh because of something that happened when they were out. Despite complaining and being angry when a text from their girlfriend woke them up in the middle of the night, I could tell for the most part that they were happy.

So, if you are going through some tough times with your guy or girl, no worries! Those bad times are what make the good times worth it. Overall, that is just about the best kind of advice I can offer to anyone who is in love or longing to be in love with someone.

I hope that my blogs have been an asset that can be applied to your life as you make it through college whether you end up in a relationship or not. Just know that not everyone finds their true love on campus. As I mentioned before, someone once told me that college is supposed to be the best time of your life, but I’ve always wondered about that statement…

If college is supposed to be the best time/years of my life, then what does say about marriage?????

I think the most positive way of looking at it is this; when it comes to marriage it will be the best time/years of “our” lives just something to think about if you are looking up at the moon and the stars and wondering if your future spouse is doing the same.

Top 15 Questions That My White Friends Ask Me about Black People

Read this with an open mind and you might learn a few things that you didn’t know before

In no way, shape or form am I trying to offend African Americans (because I am one) or white people. I see no color barrier when it comes to making friends with people, finding a woman that I am in love with or anything of that nature. Honestly, I can admit that most of my friends happen to be white or Caucasian if you want to use the “politically correct” phrase.

The reason I am writing this blog is to answer a few of questions that I’ve been asked by some of my white friends from time to time. Sometimes they ask me right early on in our friendships and others wait a little longer until after we become good friends to ask these questions. If I had to guess I would say that they ask these questions in order to understand black people a little better.

College Dating #4: Don’t Cheat or Try To Be a Player

cheating-on-a

This blog is for the men but of course it applies to the girls as well. In my other three blogs about dating in college, I’ve addressed the importance of finding the right person and how that usually happens at the right time when you least expect it. With that being said, why would you jeopardize a good relationship by cheating?

During my time at Liberty University, I’ve seen a few guys who labeled themselves as players. Some of them got away with it but a couple of them weren’t so lucky. I don’t know if this will apply to colleges aside from LU, but women tend to connect.

What I mean by that is for some strange reason it seems that EVERY woman knows every other woman. Never underestimate the possible connections formed between women because women talk…a lot!

The girl you are dating right now might know the girl you stare at during a boring lecture who sits two seats across from you in Biology class, the girl who lives in the dorm across the street from you and the girl who works behind the counter at the Starbucks you visit every day and so on.

Seriously, they are all connected in some way. That is why it is important to do your research and by that I don’t mean be a stalker. Also, I’m not trying to say that being a player is cool and to do your homework so you won’t get caught.

I’m trying to tell you a story…

I had this friend who lived on my dorm and he was dating a girl who lived on the other side of campus. He really liked her but about two weeks after they started dating, he was talking about how he liked this other girl on campus too. As time went on, he began to brag about how he now had two girlfriends and that was the man.

Well, let’s fast forward to around 5 days later; it was a Wednesday and he comes into the dorm looking mortified as if his Xbox 360 was thrown out of the 2nd floor window by his dorm mate. Someone asked him what was wrong and he said that his girlfriend(s) dumped him. Of course, we had to know how it happened because he just got dumped twice in one day!

He went on to say that both girls knew each other. Not only that they lived in the same dorm and were in the same Prayer Group (a weekly meeting in LU dorms when the dorm is broken into groups of 5 or more students who come together for a spiritual meeting kind of like a mini-bible study every Tuesday night).

During their Prayer Group the night before, both talked about how blessed they were to have a great guy in their lives. The other girls in the group asked who their boyfriends were and the girls were shocked to discover that they were dating the same guy! Needless to say my friend did not have the best reputation with any girl on campus from that point on.

The lesson of this story illustrates the importance of trust, honesty and commitment in a relationship. If you are not satisfied with the person you are dating it is better to be honest and breakup with them instead of cheating on them.

If you are thinking about cheating on the person you are dating (this goes for guys AND girls), just think about the repercussions of your decision before making it. Trust me, if you are doing right in a relationship with someone you won’t have time to be messing around with somebody else on the side.

Not to mention you will not only being hurting the emotions of the person you were dating in the first place, but you’ll make the person you were cheating with feel like a “side chick” (if she doesn’t know about the person you were dating to begin with). Do you remember the reason you got into a relationship to begin with?

If you started dating someone for the right reasons; you felt that this person is someone who you can connect with on an emotional level, brings out the best in you and you both really care about each other. Why would you be willing to throw it all away on some emotions you get just by looking at another person?

Sometimes they ask me right early on in our friendships and others wait a little longer until after we become good friends to ask these questions. If I had to guess I would say that they ask these questions in order to understand black people a little better.

Well, I’m going to try to answer these questions to the best of my ability. I am not speaking for ALL black people when I give my answers, I’m just going off of my own experiences as a black person and how I feel about certain things.

If you have a different opinion about my statements that is fine and that is addressed to any black people who read my answers and feel that I am wrong. I wouldn’t say I gave an answer that was wrong, I suppose we grew up differently and despite us both being African-American, we’ve seen or experienced the world in a different light.

As Linus stated in the Charlie Brown Halloween special; “There are 3 things that you should never discuss with people; religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin.”

I’m going to be talking about 2 of those 3 topics. I don’t normally state my opinion regarding those topics but a few of these questions deal with religion and politics.

This list is made up of the “Top 15 Questions” that I’ve been asked the most by white people concerning black people.

Question #15; Why can’t most black people swim?

qFMKl

Answer: I’m going to say this right from the start; I CAN’T swim. Put me in the shallow end of the pool and I’ll be having the time of my life! But move on down to the deep end of the pool or the diving board, you can hang it up and call me later because I’m not messing around with that!

Why?

I guess it stems from my childhood when I used to go to the public pool at the park. You know when you were younger and your parents would tell you something that keeps you from wanting to do something?

I had one of those experiences when it came to swimming. I remember going to the pool with my church during the summertime or one of my relatives would take me to the park for a swim. My parents NEVER took me to the pool. They took me to the park a couple of times, but not the pool.

The reason I didn’t like the pool anymore was when my mom told me about how some people pee in the pool. When you are a little kid that kind of messes with your mind especially if you can’t swim that well and when you get out of the pool you burp a couple of times because you accidently swallow some of that pool water.

Have I ever tried to learn how to swim?

Yes, in 10th grade P.E. at the YMCA pool. However, I could never get over the whole “putting my head underwater” thing. I don’t like water in my ears or nose.

NO!

NO!

People ask me; “What if you are on a boat and it is sinking, how are you going to swim back to shore?” I can’t swim and I know that I can’t. That means I have enough common sense to not get on a boat or get in a pool; unless it is the shallow end of the pool or a boat with some lifeboats onboard.

When it comes to black women and swimming it just doesn’t mix especially women with those weaves and fake hair. As much time as they spend in the hair salons and the amount of money they pay for it, the last thing they want is to get into a pool and get their hair wet.

Question #14; Why do black people love fried chicken so much?

images (3)

Answer: Let me say this from the get-go, I come from a predominately black family (yeah, just let that sink in for a moment).

I remember as a kid, we would have “Chicken Sunday.” After church was over, we would go over to “Big Mama’s House” (White people translation = Grandmother’s house) to have a dinner and of course the main dish would be fried chicken!

Well for my Big Mama and I think the same can be said for most black folk’s grandparents along with some of their aunts and uncles they had to have baked chicken instead. What can I say? Blood pressure, high cholesterol and all that stuff will catch up to all of us sooner or later.

There is just something about fried chicken that just makes black people go crazy. It isn’t really right to pin the love of fried chicken on JUST black people because almost everyone loves some good chicken. However, you could argue that black people love it the most.

images (2)

Kentucky Fried Chicken! Back in the day, that was the best thing your mother could bring home for dinner. I don’t know why but somewhere down the line, it lost that “finger lickin’ good!” slogan and taste in their food. Most likely due to the chicken being manufactured or processed. In any case, it just isn’t the same anymore.

Question #13; Why do black people love Kool-Aid?

220px-Kool_Aid_Man

Answer: Same as #14, who doesn’t?! If you don’t like or drink Kool-Aid, I don’t know what to say for you. It is sad because you are missing out on a real treat.

For some reason black people just have a natural desire to want to use an entire bag of sugar for one pitcher of Kool-Aid.

That is why if you go to a restaurant and you see a black person order a cup of Kool-Aid, Country Time Lemonade or Sweet Tea and it isn’t sweet enough; they’ll use every pack of sugar or Sweet N’ Low in the restaurant for that one cup of drink.

images (19)

I like mine sweet, but I don’t want a cup of Jell-O either.

We all know when it comes to black people and Kool-Aid flavors we don’t use the factory names; Wild Cherry, Grape, Lemon Lime, Raspberry Red, etc. Naming off Kool-Aid flavors for us is color based.

images (44)

I’m sure you’ve heard at least one black person in a restaurant or in the grocery store saying “Do you have red Kool-Aid?”

Question #12; Why do black people love that “purple stuff?”

images (9)

Answer: Must be something in the drink…

I remember last year one of my roommates got me a 12-pack of Fanta for my 21st birthday.

Want to take a guess at what flavor?

Seriously, if you don’t get it right on the first try I don’t know what to say for you…

images

I don’t know if it was a racial joke meant for a laugh or just harmless fun. I’ll tell you what, I lived in the same room with this guy for 2 semesters and I never once felt like I was the “outcast” in the room for being the only black person rooming with 2 white guys or anything like that. It was a gift for my birthday! And I enjoyed every drop of those 12 cans of purple stuff!

images (1)

Ever since then I’ve had a craving for Grape Crush, must be in my genes.

Question #11; Have you even been followed around in a store before? How did that make you feel?

Answer: Yes, I remember it happened once when I was 12 and again when I was 18. I won’t name the store because I’ve been in multiple stores of the same company and it only happened at one particular store.

How did it make me feel? Angry because someone would think that low of me just because of the color of my skin.

While the store clerk was looking at me when I wasn’t doing anything wrong, someone else wandering around the store without someone staring or following them around could be taking something and then leave unnoticed.

Question #10; Why are black people good at sports?

7133361-youth-sized-football-and-basketball

Answer; Newsflash not every black people is good at sports. I know because I’m one of them.

The only “sport” I’m good at is dodge ball (well at least the dodging part, I don’t have the arm strength the throw the ball very far let alone throw with accuracy) and to a certain extent volleyball (when it comes to serving the ball).

Football and basketball seem to be the primetime sports for black people. Sadly, I wasn’t blessed with that talent. I’m more of a bookworm myself, but I’m cool with that because we all have different talents that make us special.

Question #9; How come black people have rhythm?

Answer; This is related to black people clapping on beat to a song, beat boxing with their mouths,  beating on their tables with their hands making a catchy beat and of course dancing.

I’ve seen some black people dance before and it looks like that couldn’t follow a rhythm if you tied it to their feet. I’m in the choir at my church and some of the black people in the group can’t keep up with the clapping or the swaying back in forth (this includes some of the adults not just the little kids).

Well most of if not every single black people that I know can dance pretty well. I suppose it is a natural thing for black people to just dance good because we can follow a beat and go with the music.

images (10)

When it comes to white people…I don’t know. Do you all follow the beat/music or just do your own thing?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen some white people who can cut a rug like a hot knife cutting through butter. I remember being at a dance spot a couple of years ago and there was this white guy who could break it down!

Question #8; How come every black person can rap?

lilwayne

Answer; FALSE, I don’t know where you’ve heard this or if you have gotten this stereotype from seeing black rappers on TV but not every black person can rap! Trust me I know…

Can I rap?

Well yeah, I can freestyle (I do it for fun), make up rhymes and create parody videos just for a laugh. I don’t think I’m the best rapper in the world or think that if I put out an album it would go double platinum or anything.

If you don’t think white people can’t rap I don’t know what is wrong with you. Have you ever heard of a rapper named Eminem?

Question #7; How come black church services last so long and why do the people shout, dance and scream?

Black-Church

Answer: Religion and church have somewhat of a different meaning when it comes to black people and white people. Don’t get me wrong, both races LOVE us some God! It is just that we worship in different ways.

Black people go to church and just give it up to God! When black people go to church it is like we can let our hair down. If we’ve had a tough week full of stress, pain and struggle it feels kind of comforting to be around some other struggling folks as a reminder that you aren’t the only one going through something.

Now, I’ve been to a white church before. Things are a little different BUT the reason for the people gathering is the same; praising and worshipping God. White people just do it differently and that is ok. For example, if the preacher says something soul-stirring that would make someone in a black church shout no one shouts at the white church.

At the black church, again we just let it all out. In the middle of a sermon and especially during a song, if that Holy Spirit manages to be caught by a few people, then you can just shut the place down because there is an earthquake of stomping, a hurricane of praise in the form of shouting and the thunder of clapping going on.

Are all white churches like this when compared to black churches?

Of course not!

Again, we just worship differently and some churches aren’t even divided by race on Sunday. There are churches around the country and the globe where all races come together to praise God.

But why does a black church service last so long?

Um…that is a question with no solid answer. It is just one of those things that just happen, but we just don’t know why it is the way that it is just like how black people love chicken. We just do there is no scientific or logical way of giving an explanation for it. Just go with the flow on this on; it just happens.

It could be the same reason why we love coming to church; to praise God and be around other people with troubles of their own to know we are not in the struggle alone. When you are in that kind of atmosphere in the sanctuary, why would you want to go back to the world on the outside of the church where troubles and trials await you once you step foot out of the door?

If it was a really great church service, then your spiritual tank should be filled enough with the Holy Spirit to make it another week until the next service.

Some preachers either have something very important to speak on when they are led by the Lord to “feed” the Word to the “flock” and when it comes to God’s work there is no time clock to punch. Of course there are other pastors who just love to hear themselves talk. Sad but true.

I will say this about white churches; they start and end ON TIME. That just comforts me a bit to know that I won’t be in for a 7 hours service especially if I have to go to work the next morning or get some homework done. At the latest during a morning worship service at a white church, I can expect to get out by 11 AM or 11:30 AM at the latest.

The only services that I’ve been to at a white church that went on longer than planned were worship concerts when the people wanted the band to do encore performances.

Another thing that I appreciate about white churches is that very few of them have a building fund. That is usually because the building is already paid for, renovations have been made and if there is some fund or offering aside from the regular offering it is to raise money for a family in need or a food drive.

Question #6; Why are a lot of black people lazy?

Answer: This is about white people’s perspective on the stereotype of most black people living off of food stamps and welfare.

It is a sad and painful truth that a portion of black people do just sit around refusing to work and instead opting to get government money to pay for their lifestyle. Now I understand if you have a legit disability or reason for not being able to work for a living. However, for anyone not working just because they don’t feel like it or since they get “free money” because they can then shame on you.

images (15)

You are just living up to the stereotypes that we are labeled with. I’m working on finishing my education so I can rise above the stereotypes and make something out of myself to become a productive member of society in whatever career path I choose to take.

I’ve heard a few black people say this; “Well our ancestors worked as slaves breaking their backs in the cotton field and didn’t get paid nothing except beatings and being sold on the auction blocks without seeing a penny of the money that they were sold for! I say, there is no shame in laying around now and living off the white man’s money!”

images (14)

Get real! Our ancestors broke their backs in the field and even after the slaves were free they really weren’t “free” due to equal rights still being an issue. Many of them risked death for going to school to get an education. Nowadays we can go to school to get an education with the only difficultly being the rising cost of college tuition. Our ancestors didn’t work hard for us to just sit around refusing to make something of ourselves.

The people who give the excuse about slavery usually say that they were not smart enough to finish high school or go to college. If you could remember the information from your other classes as well as you remember that much about slavery from your history class then there is nothing you shouldn’t be able to pass.

Stop blaming “The Man” the only man holding you back is the man you see whenever you look into the mirror.

Question #5; Do you believe that racism still exists?

Answer: Yes, it’s sad but true. Despite it still being around, I’ve been blessed enough to have people in my life as friends who look at me as a person not a color. I know when some of my white friends ask me why I think it still exists; the only way to answer is basically that I just know because I’ve experienced it and sadly I still am.

As I said before, even though I have met people who are racist I’ve been privileged to know people who are not. I see people through eyes that are “colorblind” but in the world there are still some people who only see things in black and white.

Question #4; Why do black people vote Democrat?

images (12)

Answer:  I don’t know why do some white people vote Republican?

This answer is going to be short and sweet; if you automatically think it is because of Barack Obama you better think again.

Before he took office, black people were voting democrat. Also keep in mind that not ALL black people vote democrat. Some vote Republican, others are conservative and some just don’t vote at all.

image.img

So, don’t let what Kanye West said about George Bush cloud your judgment about black people and how they feel about Republicans.

Question #3; Why do black people support President Barack Obama?

images (4)

Answer: It is not just black people who support the President, just saying.

As a whole, black people were excited to see one of our own running for a role in the White House that hasn’t been achieved by an African-American before. That was a big moment for us!

Many assume that every black person voted for President Obama in both elections and that is just false. It hurts my heart for people to just assume that because he is black that every black person who is able to vote will vote for him and it isn’t true.

images (5)

Let me just say that no matter who is in the White House no matter what race or political party they are from that person is going to be the Commander & Chief of this country for 4 years (or 8 depending on if they win a 2nd term in office) so just get over it!

It makes me sick to hear people just complaining about the person who is running the country (and this goes for any president not just Obama). If you think you can do a better job then maybe you should run when you are able to meet the qualifications so until then just get it a rest. Also remember that it isn’t the president who runs the country it is the people. Yes the people, that means YOU and everyone else in the United States of America.

If you want to make a change take a look at the “man in the mirror” and do something about it. No matter who is in the White House, Congress, the state governor’s office or whatever that shouldn’t stop you from doing something to make this country better than it was before.

Question #2; Do you think Michael Jackson molested those kids?

images (16)

Answer: NO!

I don’t care what social class you fit into or what race you are because this is one question that has been brought up in conversations before MJ died and the debate is still going on even today.

Let me tell you that I don’t think he did it in either of the situations where he had to go to court or be investigated. You have to understand that MJ wasn’t a “normal” guy who had a “normal” childhood.

Here is MY reasoning behind it; growing up in Gary, Indiana with his family in a small house having to sleep with all of his brothers in the same bed and then moving around the country going on tours with the Jackson 5 in hotels and whatnot wasn’t really something that did him any good in forming a normal perception in how the world works especially when it comes to sleeping in bed with another person.

So, to him when he “was in bed” with the kids it wasn’t anything sexual he was just in bed with them but that doesn’t mean he did anything “adult like” to those kids.”

I’m not saying I would sleep in the same bed as a kid let alone another person’s kid because well I just won’t do it. Now, I love MJ and when I say that I mean that I love him for his charity work, music, dancing and anything else he did in order to contribute to the field of entertainment especially when breaking down barriers and paving the way for other black artists.

All the money Jackson earned from "Man In The Mirror" was donated to a children's camp for kids who suffered from cancer

All the money Jackson earned from “Man In The Mirror” was donated to a children’s camp for kids who suffered from cancer

We have to look at the word “love” a little closer because that word can have many different meanings. I’ve never met him while he was alive, went to a concert or anything like that so I didn’t know him as a person, I just knew him through his actions. I feel that anyone who would do so much for the world especially to help the children would NEVER do anything to hurt a child (except for holding Blanket outside of the hotel window dangling him for the fans to see…yeah that is kind of like walking on thin ice if you want to talk about that) and that is really all I have to say on the manner.

Just saying that is my opinion and you are free to have your own.

I’m the type of person who generally doesn’t judge or hate other people since I know that everyone has their own opinion about certain things but if you tell me that you don’t like MJ, you can just get out of my face because I don’t want to hear any of that!

And here is the final question that is the icing on the cake. This is #1 question that nearly every single one of my white friends has asked me before at least once in the time that we’ve known each other.

Question #1; How come it’s ok for black people to use the “N-word” but they get mad whenever a white person uses it?

images (17)

Answer: It depends on the black person. That is probably not the answer you were looking for but that is my honest answer regarding that question. You will get a different reaction from different black people it is as simple as that. Why? Not every black person uses that word.

I DON’T use that word and I don’t care if it is the N-word that ends with the “-ar” or the “-er” it is still offensive. I really don’t know why anyone uses that word anymore.

Some of my friends use it and go; “Oh nah man, I don’t mean it in an offensive way. That is just what I say whenever I see ANY of my friends (no matter what color). I see them on the street and I go, what’s up my ______!!!!!”

images (18)

This isn’t Rush Hour and you’re not Chris Tucker or Jackie Chan so just give it a rest…

chris-rock-eddie-murphy-image

However, just like curse words it is something that is not going to go away. Some of the most famous comedians like Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy (during his Delirious and Raw days) are known from their use of the word many times during a standup routine. Just take a walk down the street past a group of black people talking and you’ll probably hear the N-word used 42 times within 5 minutes.

A good number of my white friends have asked me this question but not EVERY white person I know has asked me this question.

Does it annoy me whenever one of my white friends asks me that question?

Well yes and no. Whenever they ask me that question in the back of my mind I kind of process and evaluate WHY they would ask me that question to begin with;

  1. Are they asking me because they’ve been around black people who use that word a lot?
  2. Have they had another white person ask them about why it is alright for black people to use the N-word but not white people and maybe they came to me looking for a little bit of guidance?
  3. Was there a time when the word “accidently” slipped out of their mouths when they were around black people and they got chewed out for it?
  4. Are they just curious?

And here is the reason behind their question that makes me a bit uncomfortable just to think about it;

5. Perhaps they WANT to use the N-word but don’t know when they can use it.

I can’t and I won’t try to tell people what they can say and when they can say it because that is not my job nor can I fight their given right of free speech. Just know that the word itself is just not cool.

Now when it comes to why it sometimes annoys me when a person asks me that question is because not too long ago one of my white friends just asked me out of the blue. We were hanging out off campus just checking out some stores like Wal-Mart, the mall and Barnes & Noble just to get out of the dorm on a boring day.

We were driving from one of the stores and then he just asked; “Hey man, how comes black people get mad when white people use then N-word but they can just say it all the time and nobody feels offended.”

That just caught me off guard because I’ve known the guy for like 2 ½ years and he has never once asked me about it. True, he waited awhile longer than most of my other white friends before he asked me but still it just came out of left field. We were out having a good time and it was quiet in the car and then the question just reared its ugly head. I didn’t get mad at him or anything like that I just simply said that I don’t know why and that was the end of that.

This is one of the questions that didn’t make my Top 15 but I felt it was good enough to make the Honorable Mention category.

Question; Is it ok for me to say the word “black” when referring to an African-American?

I’ll have to admit I do find it a bit humorous whenever I’m with some of my white friends and they want to tell a story about something that happened to them. They’ll start it off by saying; “Ok, so I was in class and there was this black guy…”

They would just stop mid-sentence and go; “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!!”

And then I’ll ask them what’s wrong and they’ll tell me that they didn’t mean to offend me by saying “black guy.” Usually, I’d just start to laugh because I would find it funny because they were being sensitive to my feelings (and that is cool), but a bit too cautious about it.

I respect that but I don’t want them to feel uncomfortable around me having to watch EVERYTHING that comes out of them mouths in fear that I would find it offensive because I’m black.

My guess is that they thought that I was going to say; “Hold up, why does it have to be a BLACK guy?!”

So, there you have it! Those were the Top 15 questions and I hope now that you’ve read my answers maybe you will know a little more about black people. I hope you enjoyed it and if you have any thoughts feel free to leave them in the comment section below.

Episode of Bardock; was Bardock responsible for starting the Saiyan race and evolving the Tuffle race?

By Jeremy Carden

Before I go into my theory as to why Bardock was possibly the being who started these two races, it is important to go over the history of the Saiyans and Tuffles first.

Keep in mind that King Kai, Baby, Vegeta and Dr. Raichi seem to have different versions of the story regarding the relations between the Saiyans and the Tuffle. Some differences are minor while some seem to reshape the entire story.

images (1)

Vegeta said that the Tuffles used the Saiyans as slaves.

Baby_on_vegeta's_cheek

Baby’s story seems to illustrate the Saiyan/Tuffle “war” ending quickly as the Saiyans arrived on the night of a full moon easily taking over the planet.

images (2)

King Kai and Dr. Raichi’s story says the war lasted 10 years with multiple battles taking place with the Tuffles managing to keep the Saiyans from complete domination and only ended with the Saiyans winning after a full moon (which occurs every 8 years) appeared in the sky.

images (12)

Here we go; in King Kai’s story to Goku, he tells him that there were 2 races on Planet Plant the Saiyans and the Tuffles.

images (63)

The Saiyans were a more violent and primitive race that lived in the outskirts of the Tuffle “city” in the caves and wastelands of Planet Plant.

The Tuffles were a much more advanced and peaceful society of beings. However, they were much smaller and fragile in terms of appearance compared to the much bigger and bulkier Saiyan race.

images (3)

It was only due to their weaponry and scientific genius that kept the Saiyans from taking over their city, wiping them out and dominating the planet. Though they were weaker than the Saiyans, they outnumbered them greatly. Until the night of a full moon…

DragonBallZSpecial121

*Note; Remember the Tuffles were the one who developed the Scouter technology. They also had blasters (I’ll get into that more below)*

images (20)

That was when the Tuffles were completely overrun by the Saiyans making them the dominant and only race on the planet. Of course in later series and movies, we learn that the Saiyans killed MOST of the Tuffles but some got away which kind of mirrored how Frieza would blow up Planet Vegeta in the future but some Saiyans survived for one reason or another.

He goes even further explaining that even though the Saiyan race was now the dominate race on the planet, their thirst for battle could not be quenched. The Saiyans yearned to venture out into the stars to find opponents to fight.

However, without the technology to do so they were unable to leave the planet. Or I should say they had the advanced technology of the Tuffles at their disposal but didn’t know how to use it.

At least not until sometime later, when they became more familiar with the technology and less barbaric but still had that desire to fight.

images (10)

It wasn’t until they were approached by the Arcosians were they first brought into the Planet Trade Organization. They were paid with money and technology to go to their planet and clear out the race for the Arcosians.

Why did I mention the Planet Trade Organization when it was the Arcosians who approached the Saiyans and not Frieza or someone else of the Frost Demon Race?

images (13)

Here is my theory; remember that Chilled and his men wore similar hooded cloaks when they arrived on Planet Plant in the past looking for the man (Bardock) who killed the two soldiers who came to the planet before claiming it in the name of Lord Chilled.

images (25)

Also remember that Chilled KNEW about the healing medicine on the planet. That could have been the reason he wanted to conquer the planet.

images (30)

This is similar to Frieza wanting the Kanassan planet due to the rumor of some psychic power.

images

Don’t you just love how all of this just seems to all come together especially when it involves Bardock?

Another thing to note is the Battle Armor. In King Kai’s tale and in GT, it wasn’t until AFTER they conquered the planet did the Saiyans start to wear the armor.

508945-saiyan_armor_cell_saga_large

They probably got it from the Tuffles after the war or like many of Frieza’s men it wasn’t until they were drafted into the Planet Trade organization that they were equipped with the armor.

But in King Kai’s story, there was one Saiyan who shook hands with the Arcosian and he was wearing the armor which was probably given to him by the Arcosian himself either before the Saiyans cleansed the planet for them or after the victory had been won.

images (11)

You’ll notice in this picture, ALL of the Saiyans shown are wearing the armor. Along with the dead native on the Arcosian planet (most likely the race they wanted the Saiyans to destroy in order to cleanse the planet) and damaged buildings in the picture, it kind of shows that it was the Arcosian planet they were on at the time.

My guess is that in order to give extra protection to the Saiyans while fighting to help increase their chances of success, they were given the armor BEFORE the fight just for the advantage.

images (33)

During the war on Planet Plant all of the Great Apes were “bare” supporting that it was not until after the war and their meeting with the Arcosians were they given the armor. Remember that the armor is expandable even in Great Ape form and they didn’t have any on before just the clothes that they looked like they made while living in the wastelands.

Now, it is said that it was about one year after the Saiyans killed off the Tuffles that they were then put into Frieza’s empire for conquering planets. This further supports my theory that the Arcosians were a race that was either linked with the Frost Demons OR mentioned the Saiyans to the Frost Demons or more specifically Frieza.

I’m not sure how galactic gossip gets around but perhaps an Arcosian was talking to a being of another race and that was how the word about the Saiyans got to Frieza and any race that showed potential in expanding his empire was enough to get him to want them on his side.

images (8)

Frieza probably already knew about the Saiyans due to the Super Saiyan legend passed down from Chilled to him.

Getting killed by a Super Saiyan must hurt especially after you were warned about it...

Getting killed by a Super Saiyan must hurt especially after you were warned about it…

However, he probably didn’t think about it being nothing more than a mere rumor and wanted them in his employ; until later on when he discovered the Saiyans were soon growing not only numbers but in power as well.

images (46)

Alright, for anyone reading who is a Christian, I am not trying to disrespect the gospel by bringing it into this discussion; when you think about it Frieza was kind of like the Pharaoh of Egypt, fearful of an uprising due to rumors of a lesser race overpowering his throne.

images (34)

In order to avoid that, he made a decree that all Saiyans must die in order to snuff out the possibly of an uprising and the “deliverer” a Super Saiyan freeing them from the bondage of Frieza.

images (44)

In the Bible, Pharaoh decreed that all new born boys must die in order to prevent the “deliverer” emerging out of the slaves to free them from Pharaoh’s bondage.

images (42)

Also note in both scenarios it was an act put into place by the suggestion of the advisers of the ruler that kind of fueled their own paranoia about the situation.

images (45)

For Pharaoh it was his counselors.

images (36)

For Frieza it was his right hand men; Zarbon and Dodoria.

images (37)

Though later in Frieza’s flashback before transforming into his 2nd form, it seems that Zarbon didn’t think destroying them was necessary but went with it anything saying “Well I suppose you know best…”

Flashbacks can be inconsistent from time to time so I try not to take them that seriously.

images (47)

Of course in Frieza’s case Goku had escaped the wrath of the tyrant by being sent off to Earth before he destroyed the planet.

images (52)

He was AGAIN spared by Cooler who viewed from afar and noted that it was not his problem or job to finish Frieza’s sloppy work.

images (51)

Later on he came to regret his decision as he was being incinerated by the sun…

images (43)

Moses was placed in the river by his mother to avoid being killed.

images (35)

So, it is kind of like that theory of predestination or fate where what is meant to happen will happen no matter what you do or what extremes you go through in order to prevent what is destined to occur.

images (41)utdfgf

In terms of the medicine that was used to heal Bardock, he notes that it is similar to the medicine in the Healing Chambers used by Frieza.

images (21)

Vegeta mentions that the fluid contains synthetic Saiyan DNA.

images (22)

This could hint about the Saiyan influence on the Tuffles, purple aliens and Frieza’s army. The medicine itself is said to heal injuries instantly. Saiyans get stronger after being healed from injuries or near-death experiences due to the Zenkai. This could be a reason why Saiyan DNA is also in the fluid medicine making healing faster and possibly making whatever being in the healing tank stronger than before.

images (16)

In terms of Attack Balls, it is hard to say where they came from. When Chilled’s 2 soldiers arrived on Planet Plant they were in a large ship that Frieza, King Cold and Cooler use in space travel. It seems that Attack Balls were not used by the Frost Demon Empire until after their encounter with the Saiyans.

images (19)

In some flashbacks, the Saiyans arrived on the planet by using these Attack Balls and then wiping out the Tuffles BUT since the Saiyans are barbaric by nature and not as intelligent as the Tuffles in terms of knowing how to use such technology it stands to reason that the Tuffles might have been the ones who invented the Attack Balls.

How?

Well let’s discuss how it is possible that the technology used by Chilled and his men helped advance the people on Planet Plant.

images (39)

The first 2 henchmen used one of the giant spaceships to travel to the planet but were killed by Bardock meaning that their spaceship was still on the planet; before Chilled arrived he was traveling in one of the giant spaceships. It stands to reason that the ship he used to land on Planet Plant was still on the planet after he was blasted into space by Super Saiyan Bardock.

images (40)

I’m sure similar to King Cold finding Frieza in space; some of Chilled’s men tracked him  on radar and went to pick him up in another ship. So, as time went on the people on Planet Plant developed the technology into smaller ships called Attack Balls.

images (27)

From there after Frieza “took in” the Saiyans, he used the ships for his henchmen and opted to use the larger more elaborate spaceships for himself. In a business-sense (because really Frieza and his family are part of a business) it is more cost efficient and easier to make in large numbers as opposed to having a giant spaceship for every man in the army even when broken into smaller groups of the soldiers.

images (53)

How do I feel about the Super Saiyan God who appeared to stop the fighting but failed due to the form’s time limit?

images (54)

Since the new DBZ movie hasn’t been released in the U.S. (yet) all I’ve been able to learn from it is from movie summaries on Youtube or articles on different DragonBall websites, so I don’t know enough about the Super Saiyan God to really go into extreme detail.

images (59)

It stands to reason that there could have been pure-hearted Saiyans during the 10 year war who wanted the violence to stop. If I am right; it takes the energy of 5 pure-hearted Saiyans to make one Saiyan become the Super Saiyan God.

images

Does it have anything to do with Bardock?

Well I don’t think that Bardock was the Super Saiyan God of legend. Most likely because I think the events of the “Episode of Bardock” happened long before the Saiyan/Tuffle War. I know Saiyans can retain their youth to fight longer but I doubt they can live that long.

images (41)

To go even further, I think our first “look” or hint of a guardian/god who wanted to stop the fighting would have been the one King Kai mentioned in his tale to Goku about a guardian or Kami of the Planet Vegeta/Planet that saw what was going on and disapproved. He summoned a mass of meteors to destroy the planet.

images (32)

This was a HUGE inconsistency when it was finally revealed that it was Frieza himself. There could be 2 reasons why King Kai’s story involved a kami/god or guardian instead of saying that Frieza was the one to destroy the planet;

images (31)

  1. Like Supreme Kai, despite being an overseer of the universe (in King Kai’s case the North quadrant) he isn’t the “god” that his title suggests in that he is able to see all and know all.
  2. Remember how adamant, King Kai was when he told Goku not to fight Frieza and to avoid him at all costs when he was on his way to Namek?

Perhaps his reason for getting his story wrong by not saying that it was Frieza who destroyed the planet was because he didn’t want Goku going after him. I think that would be the only other reason aside from him not knowing about Frieza’s part in Planet Vegeta’s destruction.

images (41)

But wait what does this have to do with Bardock starting the two races?

It pains me to say that Bardock was the one who started Saiyan race because it makes my head hurt thinking about it. If he was really the one to do so, wouldn’t that mean somewhere down the line he was responsible for his own existence in the past?

images (56)

That is why I’m like John Stewart (Green Lantern; Justice League Unlimited) when I say that I HATE time travel because it leaves so many unanswered questions and endless speculation.

Since Bardock was the only Saiyan on the planet, how was he the one to start the race?

images (26)

Here is where genetics, evolution, breeding and your own opinion as to where the Saiyans came from come into play.

Genetics/breeding; now you are probably asking yourself, how did Bardock start the race when the only other race on the planet was those purple beings?

10385757467a12355724814l

Think about Vegeta’s younger brother Tarble and the alien he married. We don’t know if they have kids so I can’t guarantee that those two can breed. We do know Saiyans can breed with humans thus creating Saiyan/Human hybrids.

You've gotta be kidding me...

You’ve gotta be kidding me…

It stands to reason that there is a possibly that Bardock could breed with those purple aliens.

In another post, I mentioned the possibly of those purple aliens being the ancestors of the Tuffle race. Now here is how I believe that they possibly have some Saiyan genes in them and how they figured out the art of war.

nm,l

Notice the similarities between the purple aliens and the Tuffles;

  1. Both races are smaller than a Saiyan
  2. They appear to be peace-loving beings when compared to the Saiyans
  3. Both have “advanced” living conditions compared to the caves and wastelands that the Saiyans lived in, true the purple aliens didn’t have the technology of the Tuffles.

images (61)

However, keep in mind that if they were the ancestors of the Tuffles, then it is understandable that they didn’t have the same level as advanced tech and weaponry as the Tuffles in the days of their war with the Saiyans. The fact that they had housing and a civilization was what could have “evolved” into the city that we saw in flashbacks.

ScouterPinkNV

Wait, when do the Scouters and blasters that I mentioned before come in?

images (24)

Right now!

I’ve already talked about the healing medicine and the Chilled’s spaceship, so let’s move on to the blasters and Scouters.

images (18)

Remember that Chilled had 2 guys (with Blasters) come to the planet to conquer it but were killed by Bardock.

Bardock likes going for the neck

Bardock likes going for the neck

Then when Chilled himself arrived he had some soldiers with him (also with Blasters). In both cases, the soldiers used the blasters in order to destroy some houses and some of the planet. Bardock killed them all and it stands to reason that the blasters were still intact.

images (4)

After the events of Chilled’s failed assault, it stands to reason that the purple aliens (who were still peace loving) learned about the art of war. This is most likely due to Bardock. True he was their Super Saiyan savior BUT he or the aliens probably realized that they wouldn’t be able to rely on him saving them from threats all of the time.

images (14)

That is why they probably confiscated those blasters and started learning about advanced technology and from there created the Scouters in order to measure the power of their opponents for future battles and more advanced and powerful models of those blasters.

So, we now know the possibilities as to how the purple aliens possibly evolved into the more technically advanced Tuffles based on their encounter with Chilled and the technology brought to their planet.

The one main question is why do the Tuffles look human-like when compared to the purple aliens?

images (6)

My theory; Bardock

Let’s say that he had offspring with one or more of the purple aliens and from there generations passed and the purple aliens took on a more humanoid appearance. True Saiyan/Human hybrids seemed to have a drop in their Saiyan genetics as their offspring continued to reproduce with humans.

images (57)

Gohan was ½ Saiyan, Pan was ¼ Saiyan and Goku Jr. was 1/16 Saiyan. That is because as time went on the Saiyan hybrids had offspring with 100% humans decreasing the Saiyan gene as generations went on.

In terms of the purple aliens and Bardock, it is possible that the hybrids they created had inbreeding going on keeping the Saiyan genetics intact.

images (62)

This could attribute to the purple aliens (who might be the past versions of the Tuffles) taking on a more human/Saiyan like appearance in terms of skin color, hair, etc. yet some of them kept the same genetics in terms of their height being much shorter than an average Saiyan.

images (44)

You are probably scratching your head right now (like Gohan) asking; but wait why don’t the Tuffles have tails like the Saiyans?

images (15)

Well Saiyan tails are a recessive trait and if you remember the Punnet Squares from your middle school science class, you’ll now that detectable features like eye and hair color (or the purple aliens skin color) have around a 25% chance of being passed down from parent(s) to offspring if BOTH parents are a carrier for the trait.

Wait, what?

Wait, what?

Now the fact that Bardock was the ONLY Saiyan on the planet meant he was the only one (carrier) with a tail. If he did breed with one of the female purple aliens, that would theoretically decrease the chances of their child having a tail. It wouldn’t be impossible but very unlikely. The same can be said about the purple alien’s skin color because skin pigment is also a recessive trait like the Saiyan tail.

Which could support the theory as to why the Tuffles outnumbered the Saiyans (which I’ll get to below).

images (14)

Of course 100% pure-blooded Saiyans will have a tail at birth.

images (13)

When you break it down to Saiyan/Humans like Gohan, Trunks and Goten that is when the chances of having a tail begin to decrease as well.

images (10)

True, we never see Goten or Trunks with tails. We see Trunks as a baby but without a tail.

images (12)

We only see Goten as a baby in the ending credits of Bio-Broly but again we don’t see him with a tail.

images (11)

My reasoning behind this is that Trunks and Goten MIGHT have been born with tails because like Gohan (who was born with a tail) they were 50% Saiyan. There is a chance that they had them removed at birth since Bulma, Vegeta and Gohan knew about the Great Apes and probably wanted to avoid a rampaging ape tearing down their houses…(though it is stated that the writers of the show pretty much forgot about the tail by the time the Buu Saga came around).

The Saiyan/purple alien offsprings that had tails probably moved out on their own into the wastelands of Planet Plant while the “normal” Tuffles/Purple Aliens stayed in their city.

images (9)

Perhaps there was some kind of X-Men hatred going on like how Magneto hated humans due to being a mutant but still being a human himself in terms of genetics; he was just gifted with extra attributes.

The same COULD be said of the Tuffles/Saiyans; the more powerful offspring with tails (Saiyans) went off due to being labeled as outcast or something due to being different. This might be something that sparked the bad blood between the two races; resentment for being different.

images (4)

Not only that when you compare the Saiyans to the purple aliens and Tuffles they are scary when you think about it.

They were much larger, stronger and could easily put fear in the hearts of the timid Tuffles.

From there they could have inbreed creating 100% Saiyans since as I mentioned before as generations go on the genetics of one race will eventually diminish.

Going back to the Super Saiyan God legend, in terms of peaceful Saiyans remember that the Tuffles and purple aliens were peace loving beings. Just as the appearance of a Saiyan could have been passed down from their genes so could the personality traits of those aliens.

Images_(46)

Also remember that Tarble was banished by King Vegeta because he was a peace-loving Saiyan who was not battle hungry making him a disgrace to the royal bloodline.

dbzeob-021

This could be another reason the population divided as time went on. Keep in mind that Bardock preferred to stay away from the civilization in favor of isolation in the caves/wastelands of Planet Plant.

Here is another piece of evidence that the purple aliens/Tuffles up and left their old town in favor of their more advanced civilization.

images (23)

Take note of the pictures, one is of the city we see in the Episode of Bardock.

images (1)

The other is the city in King Kai’s story in which the Saiyans inhabit the now deserted city from the one in the episode of Bardock.

images (18)

Notice the similarities in terms of building structure. I’ll wager that once the aliens learned about the technology to upgrade their living arrangements, they left their old city and the Saiyans decided to live there and the area surrounding it of course was desert wasteland.

Some of the offspring of Bardock and the purple aliens or some of those aliens in general could have decided to live in the area of the planet that Bardock inhabited. This could explain why the Saiyans were so few in number when compared to the Tuffles. That made them more barbaric compared to the more civilize purple aliens/Tuffles in the city.

images (60)

Of course, all of this could be proven wrong with this theory; Bardock’s only reason for going back in the past was to begin the Super Saiyan legend and nothing more meaning that the Saiyans didn’t originally come from Planet Plant but indeed came from another planet.

What do you think?
