January 5th will be here before you know it, and I will try to fill in the gap as much as I can with my blogs! I have to help keep the HAHN community on their toes while thinking about what we were left with after the Season 3 finale!
The topic of this blog will focus on Brandon; the asset recovery agent better known as Oscar. He swept Candace off of her feet this season, but then pulled the rug from under her feet as well!
Despite his name being Brandon, I am still going to refer to him as Oscar during a majority of this blog because he was called Oscar for almost every episode that he was seen in before the finale.
My #1 question when thinking about this topic is not about Oscar or what he does. I mentioned in a blog awhile back that he was working for David, and I was right about that!
It really is not a surprise that he did what he did because we know that David was going to pull one over on Candace at some point. Remember that he told her that he stalks and studies his prey before pouncing on them!
Even though he got Jim’s money back (really Katheryn’s money); their friendship is null and void.
I am curious why Oscar decided to go to Candace’s house after he had already retrieved the money from her bank account.
After their phone conversation, Oscar should have known better than to go to the home of a black woman that he had just screwed over!
I think the funniest part was the fact that Candace and Oscar had this lovely communication together. Candace was really feeling him, and you could tell that their “relationship” was changing her for the better. She still had that independent sass, but she let him into her heart which was a first for her.
Then to hear her go ghetto over the phone when she “knew” that he had something to do with her empty bank account, I was literally rolling because the bad bitch had returned!
Brandon might have dealt with many women in the past while doing his job, but it seems clear that he has never dealt with a true black woman before. Seriously, if I heard a woman’s voice like that over the phone, the LAST thing that I would do is go over to her house!
You knew that she was not playing about her money! I mean the last time that they saw each other; you could feel the chemistry between the two. Then he sent her all of those flowers to show that he missed her.
When he came into the house, Candace had a knife behind her back! Then after some verbal blows from each side, it seemed that Oscar was able to confirm that Candace’s money was not really her money after all.
Alright, so he said that while she was sleeping; he was able to know everything there was to know about her by going through her computer. Then that line about her being busy as an escort to make that much money must have worn her out…
Wow, I could not believe he said that! Even though he said the sex was great, he just kept going on about how easy she made everything in order to find out who she REALLY was.
Then Candace went for the stab, Oscar caught her hand and wrestled her to the couch!
I was curious if he was trying to rape her on the couch, I mean if you look at the position they were in…
She kept screaming for him to get off of him, and he kept saying that the sex was great. Perhaps it was just to overpower her to the point that she could not stab him.
Then a mystery man pulled Oscar off of Candace, pinned him against the wall, punched him and grabbed Candace while she was trying to escape.
The first time I watched the episode, I was thinking that it was Jeffery because it was a black hand that grabbed Oscar’s shoulder. However, it was Candace’s worst nightmare; Quincy!
After the assault, Oscar sprinted out of there while he left Candace to her fate. Then he went to David and Jim’s campaign off to deliver the information to David.
He tells him all about the expenses and information that he received from her computer before departing.
I do not think that we have seen the last of “Brandon.” Considering that Candy Cane does not let go of those who have screwed her over, I think Oscar had better fly to another continent to have a chance of escaping Candace’s wrath. Honestly, I do not even think that would be enough…
Her attention is now on Jim in order to reignite the flame signifying the war between them. The same can be said for him because he told David that after his family situation is handled, he will make Candace pay for Amanda’s death.
Basically, these two are angry at the wrong people! Candace should be furious at David for screwing her over, and Jim should be furious at Professor Cannon for raping his daughter. He did manage to have his executed, but that is still not enough because he wants Candace to pay.
Needless to say, these 2 will once again collide during Season 4. However, both of them have a lot on their plates to deal with now before another round of their battle can begin.
For starters, Candace has no money and no job! Not to mention there is a “dead body” in the middle of her floor!
Jim has just reclaimed her mantle as a potential front-runner for governor, but he has just been taken into police custody by the D.A.
They both have a lot to take care of before they can attack each other, but there is no telling who will be caught in their crossfire this time!
Where does this leave Oscar?
I really do not see why he would return, but just like Quincy “dying”…I think there is more to the story that we have yet to discover.
My guess as to why he returned to Candace’s house was simply to keep playing the game that he was Oscar, and to get the verbal confirmation that Candace was a con-artist like he is (well that is his professional career).
These two are actually more alike than they might care to admit. Maybe they were made for each other! However, I still would not have recommended going back to her house especially after he had gotten the money!
One possible reason that he might show up again is if he is named as the person who murdered Quincy! I’m just saying that unless Candace and Jeffery can discard the body; they will need some sort of alibi!
There is a dead body in the house, and they are both drenched in blood. True, Jeffery committed the murder as an act of self-defense, but there is still a lot to resolve with that.
Candace might try to pin Oscar as the culprit because Jeffrey knew he was the only other person that was coming over to Candace’s house that day before he got there. However, “Oscar” was a false persona so if she tried to pin it on him…that might prove to be difficult for a man who technically doesn’t exist.
Do you think that Oscar/Brandon will return in Season 4? Will Candace get revenge on him for taking back the money that was never really her money to begin with?
