Why Doesn’t Team Flash Kill The Thinker? | CW’s The Flash

By Jeremy Carden

This post is related to one of the most emotional episodes of Season 4. “Lose Yourself” certainly was an episode that had me feeling all types of emotions. Sadly, I was more annoyed than depressed over Ralph’s death at the hands of Devoe.

killer06

Alright, I know that different superheroes have their own rules about killing villains.

However, there has to be a point where the consideration of crossing that line needs to be addressed for the sake of the greater good.

No joke, I did enjoy that particular episode of The Flash. I believe it was one of this season’s better episodes. It was cool to see Joe and Iris get victories in their fights. I didn’t even mind Iris too much in that episode.

tumblr_p7ctyuXHHz1tyusgdo4_540

Heck, I think this is the sort of Iris we should have been seeing all season!

lose-yourself

But my main gripe about the episode (as with most episodes this season) is Barry Allen.

A majority of episodes this season have felt sort of rinse-and-repeat in terms of them finding a bus-meta, saying they’ll do whatever it takes to prevent Thinker from stealing their bodies, they fail and then mope at the end of the episode due to their failure.

The-Flash-Lose-Yourself-Promo

Yes, Ralph can be, has been and was an overall tool (just to use the nicest word that I could think of to describe him). However, he was a lovable tool when the script didn’t have him being overly annoying, selfish or afraid.

Seriously, there was a lack of consistency with his character this season. I feel like there were at least three or four episodes about Ralph overcoming fear or his own selfishness for the sake of becoming a hero.

He made a valid point about taking out Devoe FOR GOOD and by ANY means necessary.

16

True, it could be chalked up to him being afraid for his life (because he has every right to be), but I hate how Barry shot him down every chance he got in the episode because Ralph wasn’t following the guidelines of “Mr. and Mrs. Star Labs.”

Funny how Barry is more than willing to beat down his “friends” and “teammates” to keep them in line, but doesn’t show that same kind of gusto when it comes to defeating his enemy.

Now, I’m not saying that anyone who litters or ignores a stop sign deserves to be skewered by Killer Frost, breached to a deserted planet by Vibe or get the “Reverse Flash treatment” through the heart…

However, at what point is enough enough?

DeVoe_absorbs_Ralph

How many metas (and just regular people for that matter) have to die IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES before you decide that it is time to “cross that line” to prevent the enemy from hurting people?

At the end of the season, if the entire planet is on the line because of Devoe’s “enlightenment device” then I don’t want to hear Barry and the others crying about the fate of the world or how they’re not going to fail because they LET things get to level of danger. All of it boils down to them not doing what needed to be done while they still had the chance.

That is why I didn’t care about Barry and the others being sad because the blood of ALL of the pipeline metas and Ralph are on their hands as much as Devoe’s.

tumblr_p7ctyuXHHz1tyusgdo6_540

Going back to what I mentioned above about Iris, I still feel like she was not that annoying in “Losing Yourself.” However, there was one piece of dialogue between her and Ralph that didn’t sit too well with me.

I love how Iris talked to Ralph about not killing the person that wants to kill him. She started off on common ground because she DOES know what kind of situation Ralph is in right now.

For the second half of Season 3, the main focus of Team Flash was to prevent Savitar from killing Iris. She had to deal with the fact that she was possibly living on a ticking clock because everything Team Flash tried ended up failing (until HR sacrificed himself).

31143884_2441431095882994_395356833428013056_n

Here in Season 4, the focus of Team Flash is to prevent Thinker from killing the bus-metas (including Ralph). However, history repeats itself because Thinker is 20+ steps ahead of everything the team can think of. Similar to Savitar, who was a Barry that had lived through everything present Barry had meaning that he would be aware of any tactic that Team Flash thought of if Barry was there to know about it.

So, I agree that Iris can relate to where Ralph was at that point in the season.

However, her saying that killing isn’t the tough call but the wrong one

Eh, hard for her to be the person to say that since she was the one who pulled the trigger leading to Savitar’s death.

How’s that for the pot calling the kettle black?

285803 (2)

Also, wasn’t Iris firing at The Mechanic with lethal shots during their showdown in S.T.A.R Labs? If it wasn’t for her blocking the shots with her blade, then I doubt she would have survived!

I believe Barry mentioned that he knew what Ralph was going through as well. In the sense of wanting to kill his enemy, I could see that being true. He fought the urge to kill Zoom and Reverse Flash at different points in the series.

However, I don’t think he can relate with Ralph when it comes to someone wanting to take his life.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think ANY of the major villains on The Flash have wanted Barry dead. For the most part, they all wanted or needed him alive for their own master plans:

url-6

  • Reverse Flash needed Barry’s speed in order to get back to his own time.
  • Zoom needed Barry’s speed in order to save his life, and then his speed in order to fuel the device he wanted to use to destroy every multiverse aside from Earth-1.
  • Savitar needed Barry alive to ensure his own existence. It was the death of Iris that mattered to him.
  • Devoe needed Barry released from the Speed Force to create the bus-metas. Then needed him out of the way to not interfere in his plans, and in the episode “Therefor She Is” we learned that he has an even bigger need for Barry in the near future. However, he will kill The Flash once that plan is finished; most likely referring to the Enlightenment.

So, I don’t think Barry can say that he knows what it is like to be on the run (no pun intended) for his life as Ralph was this season.

the-flash-lose-yourself-photo004-1523644038203_1280w

It just made me cringe throughout the episode when Barry kept preaching about how they don’t cross that line when it has been crossed SEVERAL times in previous seasons by members of Team Flash.

  • Joe killed Weather Wizard’s brother at the end of the very first episode of The Flash, and then “Flashpoint Joe” killed The Rival. In both scenarios, Barry had defeated them by stopping their cyclones that would have brought major destruction to Central City. Then after assuming the battle was over, the bad guys tried to strike when Barry was vulnerable. Joe shot them in the back to protect Barry and that was that!
  • Iris did the same thing when she shot Savitar in the back (killing him) because Barry had his back turned after defeating him. That could be called poetic justice since Savitar stabbed her in the back resulting in her death in the future that Barry saw earlier that season. However, death is still death!
  • Barry killed two of the Earth-2 doppelgangers during the opening episodes of Season 2! I believe he trapped Atom Smasher in a container where the radiation killed him, and then he killed the “Sandman” after learning how to use his lightning bolt technique from “Jay Garrick.”

Guys, I’m just naming a few deaths that Team Flash caused off the top of my head. Sad to say, but I think there may have been a few that I missed.

Let’s be honest, if Devoe was about to kill Barry and Iris had to make the call; she would have killed him. Just as she did with Savitar when he was about to strike Barry when his back was turned.

tumblr_p7ctyuXHHz1tyusgdo5_540

Heck, I could see Iris looking at Mechanic dead in the face before killing Devoe saying; “You asked me how far was I willing to go to save my husband…” *pulls trigger* “….that’s how far….” all because she loves her man along with demonstrating the strength of their love.

No questions asked if that murder took place, but if one of the other team members wants to kill then it’s a problem????? Heck, remember when Iris stopped Killer Frost from killing Amunet Black after she crashed her bachelorette party?

tumblr_ort74n1DRu1tnvsx0o1_250

Season 3 Caitlin/Killer Frost was right when she told Barry, “But why would you care? You got Iris. You got your happy ending. Everyone else be damned.

All of Team Flash can fall by the wayside, but as long as Mr. and Mrs. Star Labs are alive and well…everyone else be damned.

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots Theory: Katheryn Is Dreaming (Redux)

By Jeremy Carden

Screenshot_19

Well Part 1 of Season 3 has come to an end, and it left viewers with quite a cliffhanger! Speculating about whether or not David is going to be burned alive by his own wife is going to keep fans guessing until the show makes it return.

My guess is that everyone is going to be shocked that my first blog after the finale; is a blog that is NOT about the finale.

This is a redux about a blog I wrote last July involving a very interesting plot twist about the entire show that is the Haves and the Have Nots. If you would like to read my original blog on this subject, you can do so by clicking here.

Anyone who has followed my HAHN Theory Blogs since my first one knows that my theories are a joint effort between myself and my mother.

The_Haves_and_the_Have_Nots

One night, she was randomly flipping through the channels and got to the OWN Network. The funny thing was that we were getting the channel for free because of the Dish Network specials that included free stations for about a week or so. When she got to the OWN Network, it was the first episode of the Haves and the Have Nots! After watching the show, the two of us were hooked!

dallas-4f02f71ce8a7c

With that being said, this is a theory that she came up with because my mom knows about a show called Dallas. I recall maybe watching a couple of episodes, but I was a child meaning that I can’t recall the plot and characters like my mom can.

katherynattable_zps7f0a416e

The interesting theory that my mom created is the plot of the HAHN being nothing more than a mere dream. A story depicted in the mind of none other than Katheryn Cryer!

Keep in mind that I did help pull this theory together with dialogue, scenes and hints from the show during a discussion with my mom. However, if this theory happens to be correct or this blog goes viral; my mom deserves most of the credit. Without her, I would never have thought about this enough to make a blog about it.

At this point, some of you might be ready to close out of this blog, or write this theory off as nothing more than a ridiculous post. I encourage you to continue reading before making a final decision.

If Katheryn Cryer has been dreaming the plot of the HAHN, then when does this dream start?

images (13)

That is the question many readers are probably asking at this point, and it truly is a good one. Our theory suggests that Katheryn began her dream while she was in the hospital. With all of the craziness of the show, a lot of fans may have forgotten about Katheryn’s battle with breast cancer.

Originally, I thought it might have been after she had some weed (compliments of Hanna) to help her cope with the cancer. In the long run, the hospital scenario was more believable when looking at details towards our theory.

There are a few things that need to be addressed because they are important to the overall plot of the HAHN.

ep111-own-hhn-17-592x333

  1. Katheryn’s video will

Before going into surgery, Katheryn asked Hanna to record a video of her will. She was unsure if she would make it out of the cancer surgery alive, so she asked Hanna to do her this one favor.

The will states that her husband (Jim Cryer) is not to receive a single penny of her family’s fortune. In terms of her children (Wyatt and Amanda), both are to receive $12 million. There is also information in her will for her future grandchildren. If anyone tries to fight the will; they will not receive a single dime of their money!

She then says that if her will is not found immediately after her death, her money will be donated to the Cancer Research Center of Savannah. After she is done, she tells Hanna to hold onto that video will. If something were to happen to her, Hanna was instructed to give the will to Veronica.

Screenshot_6

  1. Hanna was Katheryn’s rock

Just as the apostle Peter was named as “the rock” by Jesus, Hanna was Katheryn’s solid foundation during her time of need. Aside from the doctors, Hanna was the ONLY person that even knew that Katheryn was battling breast cancer. She even signed into Mercy Hospital under a false name!

Her “friend” Veronica and Katheryn’s family was not aware of what was going on. They were all so preoccupied with their own lives and “problems” that they did not even notice Katheryn was fighting for her life right under their noses.

As Katheryn told Hanna, Veronica is a “friend” to her in order to increase her own popularity. Veronica never seemed to listen to Katheryn’s problems or to help her out; she only came around to tell Katheryn about her own issues.

Wyatt was in rehab and fighting his own inner demons, and Amanda had her own struggles to face. Her issues stemmed from wanting to drop out of law school and go into fashion design. Being around Candace just increased her hostilities towards her parents, and Katheryn was nothing more than a “villain” in her eyes. Finally, we all know that Jim was not concerned in the least because his attention was on Candace and running for governor.

Hanna was the one who keep her going because she even tells Katheryn that if she gives up then the cancer has already won. It was great that Hanna had already gone through the cancer and survived. That meant she was the perfect person to help walk Katheryn through the illness.

Screenshot_6

  1. Katheryn tries to hold everything together

This point really takes place after her stay in the hospital and battle with cancer. It was when Hanna sat down with Katheryn and told her that Candace was her daughter. She tells Hanna that she has tried her entire life to fix problems and be the glue that held the Cryer family together. After nearly losing to cancer, she just wants to sit back and watching everything fall apart. She was tired of trying to help those who did not want help.

Jim’s new attitude towards his life mirrors that of Katheryn at this point because in recent episodes, he says that he is tired. Like Katheryn, he is willing to deal with life no matter where the chips may fall.

Now where can a person literally just let go and forget about the consequences of their actions? A dream! I’m not saying that you can’t do that in real life, but Katheryn literally went through a near-death experience. It makes sense for her to just;

giphy

The point of the dream beginning most likely takes place after Katheryn tells Hanna to get the nurse. They were having a conversation about Hanna’s meeting with Veronica because she was helping Benny get out of prison for drug possession in Candace’s car.

Screenshot_2

Katheryn is covering her mouth and rolls on her side in bed. Hanna’s is rubbing her shoulder because she is trying to comfort her friend.

In the next episode, the opening scene after Jim and Candace have their shower throw down shows Hanna giving Katheryn some final words of encouragement before she is carried by the nurse into surgery.

ep113-own-hhn-14-600x411

Overall, we can say that the dream take place either right before Katheryn goes into surgery or right after when she attempts to leave the hospital. There she comes face to face with Jim, Wyatt and Amanda. Everything else after that moment is a dream that Katheryn is experiencing.

When you think about it, this scenario does make sense because you will notice how aloof Katheryn is being about everything that is taking place around her.

ep113-own-hhn-3-365x240

For someone who has just gotten out of surgery, she was playing it off well. She was in an extreme amount of pain, and this was seen when she was struggling to get out of bed. What stunned me was how quickly she got out of her hospital gown and into her dress. She was not about to leave the hospital in a wheelchair, and Hanna held her up as they walked down the hallway. They come face to face with Wyatt and Jim as they are walking Amanda out of the hospital.

haves-and-have-nots-58

From there, Katheryn is in bed for the next couple of episodes because she is still recovering from the surgery. Now the thing my mom pointed out was that we never see her go back to the hospital for checkups or anything. Katheryn did tell Hanna that she had a wig on right before filming the video will. In terms of breast implants, we never hear that mentioned again after Hanna told Katheryn that she got some herself after her battle with cancer.

One of the biggest comebacks to this theory by readers and fans of the show has involved the new characters introduced in the show. I mean how could Katheryn know about parts of the story that she is not present for or people that she has never met? One word; dream!

If something is a dream then it is not supposed to make sense! Well maybe not ALL of it is supposed to make sense. Sometimes people have dreams that are a representation of the things that they would like to happen or would like to forget. Even so, there are some dreams that turn out to be premonitions of future events.

That makes the most sense to me about Katheryn because of her life. Think about it this way;

Screenshot_17

  1. She knows about her children’s self-destructive tendencies

Amanda was suicidal and would harm herself (through cuts or pills) whenever she felt ignored or abused. Wyatt was addicted to drugs and alcohol; after his horrific experience at bible camp with a priest that was “touching him.”

A mother’s worst fear with children like that would be that they would harm themselves or others around them. Funny this is that Amanda almost kills Professor Cannon and Wyatt kills Little Lizzie (nearly killing Benny as well). Everything comes around full circle when Amanda kills herself and Wyatt confesses to the hit-and-run charges.

ep101-own-hhn-5-600x411

  1. She knew about Jim’s affairs and that he would do anything to get his way

Is it too far of a stretch to assume that she would not think that Jim would still run for office despite all of the skeletons in the Cryer family closet?

Not to mention she gave her famous #9 speech to Candace before going into the hospital. So, we know she knew of the other 8 women that Jim has had an affair with.

ep101-own-hhn-7-600x411

  1. She knew Jeffery was gay

As Jim told David early on in Season 2, “So what if your son is gay? Everyone knows about it David!” She just knew that she was not going to be the one to tell Veronica that Jeffery was gay, but after Amanda’s death she did not hold her tongue about it.

ep135-own-hhn-13-949x534

  1. It is clear that she knew about Celine’s children by Jim

She reveals this before beating Celine out of her house because of the “job security” that she believes she has with Jim.

These are just a few points that I wanted to mention because Katheryn knew about them before she went into surgery. This means that it would make sense for her dream to cover things like Jeffery coming out to his parents or Candace’s ongoing affair with Jim (which turned into a war).

Screenshot_6

One scene from a recent episode that truly makes me feel like this theory is legit took place at Hanna’s house. Remember when Katheryn finally visits Hanna’s home? They go inside to talk about recent events, and Katheryn has nowhere else to turn but to her old friend.

Her dialogue is what truly made me have an “Aha!” moment;

Hanna: How are you holding up?

Katheryn: Like a ton of bricks that dropped into the ocean…I don’t even know how I got here.”

*I’m only covering the parts of the dialogue that standout to my point*

Katheryn: I don’t have any friends Hanna.

Hanna: Yes you do, you’ve got Miss Veronica.

Katheryn: She’s not a friend; she’s just one of those people who is friendly because it’s good for her image. If I were in a battle…she’s not someone I would call. She’s certainly not equipped to deal with this.

Hanna: I see.

*Now here is the line that caught my attention*

Screenshot_7

Katheryn: My daughter’s dead and I don’t know what to do. It’s so strange…I know I’m alive, I’m standing, but I feel like I’m above myself watching all of this play out. I’m awake right?

Hanna: Yes, you are.

Katheryn: What do I do?

Screenshot_8

Hanna then talks about prayer being a comfort, and that Katheryn has her even if she has no one else. Doesn’t this sound eerily familiar to Katheryn’s battle with cancer?

Think about how Hanna is Katheryn’s only form of comfort during an extreme time of need. This involves Amanda’s death, and before it involved Katheryn’s near-death experience. Hanna is a much needed form of spiritual support and guidance for Katheryn.

images (14)

Out of body experiences do occur in real life, and most sources define it as;

“An experience that typically involves a sensation of floating outside one’s body and, in some cases, perceiving one’s physical body from a place outside one’s body (autoscopy).”

This typically occurs when someone is going through a near-death experience, surgery or sleep. Katheryn seems to fit the bill for all 3 categories because battling cancer put her in a near-death experience. Not to mention, during surgery she would have to be asleep!

katherine-and-jim-300x266

Again, just take note of the fact that Katheryn has been in the show but not a major character. She has taken a backseat while Jim, Candace and the Harringtons have really been carrying the story along. True, she was scared to death (no pun intended) while Wyatt was coping with the hit-and-run, and then after Amanda died it was as if she was put into shock.

Screenshot_7

Some could also say that her getting physical with Wyatt and Celine could be a representation of her fighting for her actual life.

20090902rangermma01

As a child, I remember that Tommy Oliver was doing this in “Fighting Spirit” in Power Rangers Dino Thunder. During that episode, Tommy was put into a coma from trying to get out of his invisible state due to his dino gem. While in a coma, he was fighting his past ranger personas. In the end, he woke up and it was all a test to see how strong his will to live truly was.

If you did not watch Power Rangers as a child like I did, then that comparison just went completely over your head. However, the end result is the same; a person in a near-dear experience tries to fight for their life!

Screenshot_1

My mom thinks that after the funeral, Katheryn is going to snap out of this dream and wake up! Another angle that the show could take involves everything crumbling to pieces. I mean Jim has literally given up on his conquest for the Governor’s mansion and Candace. Wyatt is well on his way to prison, and Veronica has lost it all as well.

the-haves-and-the-have-nots_1_35_640x480_53c69d5182d2e

Celine has something up her sleeve that we have not seen yet, but she has been kicked out the Cryer mansion. I just can’t wrap my mind around it, but at some point she has to wake up! It could be in Part 2 of Season 3, or at the very end of the show. Either Katheryn wakes up to make some major changes in her life, or she actually dies in surgery and the video of her will gets carried out.

Screenshot_5

What do you all think of this theory? Keep in mind that I did mention the show Dallas had a similar plotline. It took place during Season 9 (“Dream Season”) when Pam Ewing was dreaming the events of the entire season!

hagmantime.jpg.CROP.article250-medium

Most viewers also say that the “Who Shot J.R.?” mystery was similar to Amanda’s suicide. I must say that my mom and I still have our doubts about it being a suicide, but since no other evidence has been mentioned; we can do nothing but speculate at this point.

Screenshot_2

Remember that there have been no reports of the autopsy that involves her death tattoo or her possibly carrying a baby (from her being raped by Professor Cannon). Also there was the “Who Done It” plot after J.R. was shot. There were many suspects who were possibly guilty of the crime just like there were many suspects of Amanda’s death.

WatchMojo.com put together a Top 10 list of TV shows that had episodes where it was nothing more than a dream. After watching it, I truly began to notice a similar trend when compared to the HAHN. It was not surprising to see the “Dream Season” of Dallas made it on the list!

Screenshot_31

After reading my first blog about the subject, some fans admitted to being furious that this could be a reality. Some viewers could not believe that Tyler Perry would pull such a trick. However, you have to remember that this is a TV show and anything can happen! Viewers might feel “cheated” if everything that they have been watched turned out to be a dream.

Screenshot_3

If the show has had you hooked, or if you have felt feelings whether they are anger or love for a character then you have not been cheated. I’m sure that a lot of viewers have invested a lot of time and excitement into this show. Who cares if it turns out to be a dream? If you have loved it so far then it should not matter. It would be a great way for things to come around full circle.

Is the show a dream? When will Katheryn wake up? Is she dead or is she alive? When will her video recording of her will be brought up again? What if Katheryn wakes up, and we get to see Amanda brought back to the show? If the show is revealed to be a dream, would you continue to watch it?

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots Theory: Season 2 Finale Review

By Jeremy Carden

haves_premiere_s2-600x331 (1)

I’ve been asked many times to write my thoughts about the HAHN Season 2 Finale “Checkmate.” Well enough free time has finally presented itself to me so I could write this blog!

Now if you have been following my blog since my first one regarding this series then you know I am a true addict of the show (along with my mother). With that being said, I don’t want you to read this blog and feel like I am criticizing Tyler Perry’s work or saying that I could write the show better than he can or anything like that. These are just my own thoughts on the Season 2 finale and in the comments below I would love to hear what you thought of the episode as well.

Right from the start, I’ll say that my fears about the Season 2 finale came true; it was highly underwhelming in many ways. I actually wrote about it in another blog regarding my thoughts about what would happen in the finale. Overall, it was a slow moving train that seemed to run off the tracks in more ways than one.

ep135-own-hhn-13-949x534

Don’t get me wrong, when the episode opened up with Celine telling off Jim that was some great stuff! We see that Celine has been throwing herself at Jim for 2 whole seasons but in reality she just wants him to be a father to their child Carlos. Jim has been living this dirty life for so long dealing with people like Candace who have conned him that he was blind to the genuine desires of Carlos wanting his REAL father in his life.

With a powerful start to the episode, I really thought that this finale was going to be one heck of a show! This really made it seem like Celine would get back at Jim in some way for completely blowing her and their son off as nothing to him. I mean the fact that Celine knows everything there is to know about the Cryer family makes her a threat just like Candace was to Jim.

Screenshot_20

Alright, so that was the first 5 minutes or so of the episode but from there it wasn’t until about 35 minutes in do we finally get some action! We jump to Jim and David’s campaign office for them preparing for their announcement on the next day. Maggie is once again apologizing for David about the awkward moment that Veronica caught them in as they were coming out of his hotel room. Veronica shows up and the Ice Queen truly has her moment!

Just the way that she walked up to Maggie was certainly very royal-like because of the graceful way that she handled herself. That was a sharp contrast to how her words cut through Maggie like a knife made of ice. Even Jim mentioned that it got very cold in the room…

It seems to me that Veronica wasn’t wrong in thinking David was lying about not sleeping with Maggie. At first I was thinking she was a fool for believing that David would cheat on her. Thinking back to Season 1, she was actually hurt when she found out David lied to her about Jim and Candace that pretty much destroyed a good portion of the faith she had in her husband.

David then fails in trying to get the car from Veronica so that Jeffery could finally be free from her icy grip. And with that, Veronica lays out the plans for the evening; David would show up to Jim’s house for the dinner party and he was not to return home.

So…David is still in the doghouse while Jeffery is still in danger of going to the big house if Veronica turned him in for not listening to her demands.

Screenshot_4

We jump scenes to the dinner party and here is when things started to go south for me in terms of the plot. Jeffery shows up with Melissa! However, I’m sure a lot of people were thinking about how this could be possible. I mean last time we saw Melissa was when she felt embarrassed and left Jeffery’s apartment after thinking Candace and Jeffery had slept together. Not really sure how she would agree to go out with him again. This was one of the first scenes in the episode that made fans scratch their heads because there were too many things that happened off screen that NEEDED to be seen.

I mean did Veronica call up Jeffery and make him invite Melissa to the dinner party? If she did then how did Jeffery convince Melissa to see him again?

Screenshot_22

Everyone’s reaction to seeing Jeffery with a girl was priceless! I mean Wyatt’s reaction could be received as surprise, shock or jealousy. However, I go into why Wyatt and Jeffery should not be in a relationship in another blog. In that blog, I just go into detail about how in terms of the story it would be better if they just remained as friends.

When David witnesses this “act” he is quick to call Jeffery outside to explain that he should not be afraid of his mother and to stand up for himself. He then calls Veronica outside as well and in his speech it seems apparent that he was not happy with his life because of the sacrifices that he himself had made in the past. This gives us a possible glimpse into the bitterness he has been hiding all of these years dealing with Veronica. When Jeffery asks to just go inside to have a good time, David goes back inside the mansion because he was fed up after speaking his peace to his son. Veronica was shaken and tried to console her son but couldn’t even bring herself to touch his face with her hand in a loving way. It just shows that even she might feel some resentment for her actions but couldn’t bring herself to admit it due to what David said.

BtRxn_9CAAAQ-as

So that covers the first 30 minutes or so of the episode. Now the pace finally picks up when Quincy arrives on the scene and it was the best part of the finale to be honest! Just the interaction between the other characters during the scene was phenomenal! I mean as soon as he stepped inside the already tension-filled atmosphere was brought to a new level.

After only being in the mansion for a couple of minutes, it was clear that this thug was not there to make friends. We finally got to see “crazy Amanda” come out in a room full of people. When Amanda screamed: “What Mo?! If he’s allowed to date someone who is completely wrong for him then I should be able to date someone who is completely wrong with me!!!” I nearly cried laughing because of Jim being called “Mo” and the statement about Jeffery and Melissa.

anigif_enhanced-buzz-25183-1388704824-7

The climax of the episode was clearly when Jim grabbed Quincy by the coat to pull an “Uncle Phil” and throw him out of his mansion. However, Q put him in a chokehold and pounded the judge in the face numerous times. I’ve got to say no matter what goes down you have to admit that David has Jim’s back. He wasted no time breaking down the door to grab Q off of Jim! What I found even more hilarious was Jim asking for the guys (Jeffery, Wyatt and David) to get Q off of him, to help him up but when he was finally back on his feet he yelled for them to get off of him!

With all of the action going on, Q storms out of the mansion with Amanda following behind. During this scene we find out that Amanda might not be as naïve as we have been led to believe throughout the series. She picked up on the fact that after their “study sessions” together; Candace would smell like Jim’s cologne. This was something Katheryn noticed early on in Season 1 when she could see Candace’s cheap lipstick on Jim’s clothes along with the odor of her cheap perfume.

Screenshot_29

Jim had the perfect opportunity to come clean to everyone (well actually only Amanda) about what had been going on between him and Candace. Right when it seemed he was about to tell the truth…he lies right to her face. After that, Amanda goes into the mansion with her mom and sister close behind.

Coming back from the next commercial break, David is returning to the hotel and sees Maggie at the piano. They have a conversation about David’s true feelings about his wife along with his role as Jim’s right-hand man but never the one in the spotlight. Here we see that David is indeed satisfied with who he is, but not so much with his marriage.

I’ll jump back to these two after I talk about how the script just made Jim pull one dumb decision that will end up costing him dearly. I found it hilarious that he was so shaken up by getting attacked by Q that he was actually sleeping in the same bed as Katheryn!

After getting that text from Candace, he was stupid enough to go outside and get himself kidnapped!!!

Cleveland-Falls-Out-of-House-in-Bathtub

The way he was screaming “NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!” when Warlock’s crew jumped him and threw him in the trunk reminded me of Cleveland falling from his bathtub in Family Guy!

Screenshot_30

Really Jim was asking for it because he did what Candace told him through text. After everything that went down between them (not to mention the events of the night with Q beating him up for smashing his chick to begin with), I can’t believe he would go outside…

It just seemed like the script was designed for Jim to have more enemies than ever. He blew off Celine and Carlos, lied right to Amanda’s face, was beaten senseless by Q and now he is going to be in the grip of Candace!

Screenshot_1

Next we jump back to the hotel with David carrying a drunken Maggie back to her hotel room like before, but this time even he is a bit intoxicated! She leaves her door unlocked for David to come in. However, it seems that even David is a bit conflicted and extremely tempted to open the door when he goes into his room! In a moment of desperation, he calls his house for Veronica to respond most likely for her to allow him to come home. She ignores the call while she goes to turn on her alarm system (getting a surprise visit from Q one time was more than enough for her).

David hangs up after realizing that he would not get an answer and after much debate…he opens up the door and goes into Maggie’s room. Will David sleep with Maggie and if so how will that affect the plot of Season 3? Don’t worry folks because a blog about that very topic is in the works!

Doesn't she know that running with a gun is dangerous?

Doesn’t she know that running with a gun is dangerous?

Now we come to the scene that we’ve all been waiting for; Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo! Amanda runs around the house and the gunshot is fired ending Season 2!

You are probably thinking why I’m not going into more detail about the shooting scene but I’ve written MULTIPLE blogs about it already.

What if Katheryn shot Amanda?

Who Got Shot?

The links above will take you to those blogs because trust me the subjects are way too long to include in this one blog.

What was my overall impression of the Season 2 finale? In one word; “Meh…”

Don’t get me wrong it is not saying that it was terrible, but if you ask me it was not written very well. It felt like the entire episode was too rushed and not enough things were brought up or even mentioned. There were a lot of scenes that had a nice buildup but it never paid off anything in terms of the fans seeing more explored.

1-image_7680

Here is a perfect example; Amanda finally learns the truth about Candace sleeping with Jim, but we never see her reaction to it. When she rushed back into the mansion with her mom and brother following her we don’t see them trying to console her or how she was handling the situation. Was Amanda furious with Candace? Would she seek vengeance on her because her best friend had been sleeping with her dad this entire time? Not to mention her “boyfriend” left without explanation as to where he was going or if he was coming back for her.

Amanda had A LOT of things to be ticked off about and in her less than mentally stable state it seemed as if something big was about to be set off at the Cryer mansion! However…nothing happened.

The end of the episode when Amanda runs around the house with her gun was the moment that we were all waiting for ever since we saw the previews for the finale, but with the random places that the finale was going it just felt like it was out of place.

Screenshot_19

We don’t know why she was running around with her gun at all. True, she had mentioned multiple times she was going to kill her family and even got a “death tattoo” with their names on her. Now this leads to another unanswered question; what did Amanda mean when she told Q to come back for dinner and afterwards the REAL fun would begin and she wasn’t talking about her gun? What did she mean by that? Well we never got to find out…

I mean again the missing portion of the episode where we could have seen Amanda rush to her room and lock herself in there going over things in her head would have been great to see because again her reaction to the news about Jim and Candace would have opened up new doors to her character.

Screenshot_6

Something else that seemed to be completely forgotten about was the fact that Hanna had invited Katheryn to her house to meet Benny during his “Welcome Home” party. She was going to text her address to Katheryn so she could come over. What happened to that?

I mean Benny is not even seen in the finale, Candace mentioned that she was going to leave the house as soon as Benny wouldn’t notice. Hanna says that she does not believe her grandson is dead and again here was another perfect chance for some character development but we were shortchanged…

Hanna mentioned going through some scripture with Candace, but we did not get to see anything about that at all. I really would have loved to see Candace’s reaction to that. Perhaps the passages Hanna showed her dealt with forgiveness and that might play a role in how she deals with Jim once he is brought to her.

Fans are assuming that once Veronica left David’s office at the beginning of the episode, David he calling his mother-in-law and perhaps she will make an appearance in Season 3. Jim suing her husband was mentioned before, but I can’t wait to see how things will play out!

I feel that this finale should have been broken up into at least 2 episodes so a lot more territory would have been explored. This includes Celine going home to tell Carlos that Jim wanted nothing to do with him and his reaction to the news.

After Q left the mansion, it just seemed that the scene jumped back to David walking into the hotel. There were so many unanswered questions like what happened to the dinner party was it just cancelled after Q left? Was Hanna wondering what happened to Katheryn stopping by? When did Candace finally get the chance to leave her mom’s house in order for her plan with Warlock’s crew taking Jim to finally begin?

The list goes on and on and on…

ep132-own-hhn-12-949x534

Honestly, I think that way too much time was spent on David and Maggie along with David, Jeffery and Veronica.

Perhaps this means in Season 3 there will be much more of a focus on these 3. We might even learn more about David’s resentment towards Veronica that has never been brought up yet.

Of course I know that all of these unanswered questions might be answered in Season 3, but really this finale was kind of a dud if you ask me. I really thought we would get some answers but we were presented with so many unanswered questions. I understand that there has to be a set up for Season 3, but for things like Jim being kidnapped for his own stupidity was ridiculous to me.

What were your thoughts on the finale?

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots Theory: Did Katheryn Shoot Amanda?

By Jeremy Carden

haves_premiere_s2-600x331 (1)

The person who got shot in the finale remains unknown and fans are in a fury that the answer will not be revealed until January 6th, 2015!

Considering that we’ve seen the daughter vs. mother struggle going on between Candace and Hanna, who is to say that the same cannot be considered in terms of Amanda and Katheryn?

My mother and I came up with this theory a day or so after the Season 2 finale. That’s right folks! This blog is about the possibility of Katheryn Cryner shooting HER OWN DAUGHTER!!!

*I just started a new job with Liberty University Online as an Academic Adviser. I’m in training for 3 weeks before I take a final exam to see if I go the job or not. That is why I haven’t been able to pump one theory blog out after another. Got to pay the bills somehow right? Perhaps I’ll one day get paid for writing blogs like this for a living!*

Screenshot_22

For the most part, fans are speculating that Amanda actually shot herself in the head. Whether it was on purpose or by accident, the gun went off and the bullet struck Amanda.

Another popular theory is that Amanda encountered someone else in the Cryer Mansion!

How do I feel about that theory? Well…I’ll say that it is not impossible thanks to Jim!

61439_10154539486065556_9165333315331751480_n

Remember when he got that text message from Candace? He went outside to meet her in the front yard. When he got outside, he shut the front door of the house behind him and was waiting to see her. However, he was shocked to see a group of thugs coming out of nowhere to kidnap him!

He started running for the front door but was captured before he could go back in the house again. You are probably wondering why I believe he left the front door unlocked right? Well based on how he was running towards the door, I think it is safe to assume that he DID leave it unlocked. That is because we didn’t see a key in his hand and when he tried running, you could see his hand (from a distance) someone in a “I’m reaching for the doorknob” position because he was going to open it, close it and then lock it.

Screenshot_30

With that being said, Jim was kidnapped but the front door was open! Who went into the house that night and encountered Amanda? Folks, the list is a long one and I’ll tell you this much; that theory deserves its own blog!

Back to the subject of this blog, Katheryn KNEW that something wasn’t right about her daughter. Despite the doctor coming to the house for a visit with Amanda, he was fooled into thinking that there was nothing wrong with her at all.

Jim was relieved to hear this news and brushed it aside like nothing. Katheryn did not take the situation as lightly as her dimwitted husband.

Before she went outside to see the doctor as he was leaving, she was up in Amanda’s room searching for the gun that she knew was in there!

Amanda came in enraged that her mother was in her room and wanted to know what she was doing in her room. Katheryn played it off by saying that she was checking up behind Celine to make sure that she was doing her job. Amanda yelled at her to leave and she did…

When her mom was gone, Amanda reached behind her pillow and pulled out her gun!

Now here is what we need to remember about Katheryn’s knowledge about the gun;

Jeffery came over to Katheryn’s house to see Wyatt but before going to see the man that he loves, he warns her about Amanda’s threat about killing her entire family. Not only that, he told her that Amanda had a gun.

the-haves-and-the-have-nots_1_30_640x480_5398405447e251

He did not go into full detail in terms of her pointing the gun at him and nearly killing him before he finally managed to get out of her apartment!

Jim just figured it was some kind of joke because he believed Amanda when she told him that it was just a toy. Katheryn on the other hand was not as naïve about it. My guess is that she knew Jeffery wouldn’t lie about something that serious.

With that being said, we know that Katheryn KNOWS Amanda has a gun. That explains why she was so desperate to find it in Amanda’s room before she came back after her visit with her doctor.

Now we get to the finale (that was lackluster in my opinion, but I’ll write a blog on “Checkmate” in the near future) and Amanda FINALLY learns the truth about her dad and Candace.

Screenshot_29

We don’t really see any Katheryn/Amanda screen time and this is a real shame especially after Amanda runs off in tears because her dad lied right in her face about sleeping with her best friend.

There are a couple of clues that hint at Katheryn actually shooting her daughter during her game of Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Moe;

  1. Look at how Katheryn is positioning herself while she is “sleeping” in bed

Doesn’t it look like she has one hand visible but her other hand under the sheets or pillow? If that is the case then it could mean that she has one hand holding a gun…

screenshot_45

  1. Katheryn wasn’t asleep

For one, we know that she questioned why Jim was in her bed on this particular night (with her eyes closed). If you ask me, I think it is due to him being afraid since Quincy handed his butt to him earlier that evening!

When his phone went off, Katheryn (with her eyes closed) told him that he needed to control his whores! That was when Jim got out of bed, went outside and was kidnapped!

Now who is to say that while Amanda was running around with her gun, climbing into bed with Katheryn and very softly saying the words to Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Moe that Katheryn wasn’t awake?

Screenshot_5

It all boils down to Amanda pointing the gun at her head while running from room to room. We hear her psychotic laughter before the gun went off and that was the end of Season 2!

She was probably laughing right before the trigger was pulled and that was that. Katheryn may have heard the laughter because the gun was pointed at her head and before Amanda could kill her; Katheryn turned around with a gun of her own and shot Amanda!

I mean who is to say that Amanda’s laughter wasn’t a result of seeing her mom with a gun pointed at her?

LOS97IMG11

Keep in mind that during Season 1, Jeffery would occasionally climb into bed with Wyatt. Towards the end of that season, we learn that Wyatt knew that Jeffery would do this because he was only pretending to be asleep!

Considering that Amanda climbed into Katheryn’s bed multiple times before the gun went off, I’m sure that Katheryn was able to feel the movement on the bed even though Amanda was trying to be as light as a feather and as quiet as a mouse while entering and existing the bed.

Right when Jeffery would try to reach and touch Wyatt, he would move around in bed which caused Jeffery to move away. Something tells me that the same kind of thing might have happened when Amanda went into Katheryn’s room one last time (if the flash from the window was indeed from Katheryn’s room).

Seriously, this is one topic that could be debated until January 6th! When it comes to the Cryer family, it seems that the main motto is; “Kill or be killed!” Jim sent Norman to prison so Wyatt would be free and that is just one example of how they’ll do whatever it takes to protect themselves or one of their own. When it comes down to it, I think that Katheryn would not hesitate to pull that trigger if she did indeed shot Amanda.

I’m not saying that she doesn’t care about Amanda, but she knows that there is something seriously wrong with her. Not only that, she knew that Jeffery was not lying about the threats made against the family and Amanda having a real gun.

What do you think did Katheryn shoot Amanda? Did she have a gun under her pillow? Was Katheryn asleep when Amanda came into her room or was she pretending to be asleep? Did Amanda shoot Katheryn?

Guess we’ll have to wait until 2015 to find out, but there is no harm in speculating right?

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots Theory: Who Got Shot?

By Jeremy Carden

haves_premiere_s2-600x331 (1)

What a finale! We finally come to the end of Season 2 and now fans are wondering; who got shot?

Screenshot_17

Since Jim was kidnapped and taken away by Warlock’s crew, we know that he was not a victim of the shooting. It narrows the field down to 3 (potentially 4) victims of Amanda’s game of Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Moe.

Screenshot_1

Those victims are limited to only Wyatt, Katheryn, Amanda and potentially the baby inside of her (since Professor Cannon raped her in Season 1). Remember the positive pregnancy test that Jim found at Candace’s apartment wasn’t hers so it had to be Amanda’s.

Screenshot_22

Right off the bat, it is assumed by MANY fans that Amanda is the victim. She was running around with the gun pressed against her head going from room to room after Eenie/Wyatt, Meenie/Katheryn and Miny/herself (that was why she had the gun pointed at her own head) had been accounted for. However, Moe/Jim wasn’t there so she was clearly confused about what to do. It is very likely that she tripped over herself and fell which caused the gun to fire resulting in her accidentally shooting herself. I’ll go more into that scenario later.

You have to pay CLOSE attention to what is going on because the camera angles and Amanda running down the hall from one room to the next is to make you lose focus of where she actually went!

Let the game begin...

Let the game begin…

That plate on the table in the hallway is the MOST important thing to pay attention to!

Misdirection came into play so we don’t know who got shot. Here is my own personal gripe; Amanda wouldn’t know if Jim was in the same bedroom as Katheryn prior to him being kidnapped.

Remember those two have been sleeping in separate bedrooms, but sometimes we have seen Jim sleeping on the settle, but Katheryn sleeps alone in the bed. In Episode 1, when Wyatt comes home from rehab with Jeffery, Katheryn says that the guest bedroom would be prepared for him but he insists that he and Wyatt would share a bedroom due to the rehab program.

So we can most likely assume that Jim has been sleeping in the guest bedroom for quite some time. In the finale, Amanda runs around the house opening the bedroom doors to the “players” in her game but we never see her go to a guest bedroom to open any door where Jim might be.

the last scene before the camera shows us the outside of the house before the gun is fired

the last scene before the camera shows us the outside of the house before the gun is fired

With that being said, the picture above looks like she is going to run straight into Wyatt’s bedroom and either shoots him or she shoots herself (by accident).

Screenshot_24

Back in the episode when she first plays the game, Jim is coming down the hallway and stops in front of Wyatt’s open bedroom door.

Amanda is surprised that someone aside from herself would be awake at that hour. Jim says that he just came back from the kitchen. Considering he was walking down the hallway and sees Wyatt’s bedroom, we can assume that Wyatt’s bedroom is one of the first bedrooms that a person would pass by after coming up the stairs. I know there is a back stairwell too because in Episode 1, Celine told Hanna to use those stairs to avoid walking through the house since Katheryn doesn’t like “seeing the help.”

In any case, let’s just say that if you walk up the stairs you’ll pass Wyatt’s room and then turn to go down the hallway and you’ll be at Katheryn’s bedroom.

Screenshot_11

Now in terms of Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Moe; Moe/Jim was missing! Technically speaking, since Jim wasn’t at the house then that means Moe would be Wyatt; “Eenie/Wyatt, Meenie/Katheryn, Miny/Amanda…” See what I mean? Amanda would have to start over from Wyatt and he would be the one who gets shot.

However, Amanda is crazy so maybe she got frustrated since Jim wasn’t there and that ruined her game or she did go back to her parent’s bedroom and shot Katheryn instead since she was also in the place that Jim SHOULD have been if he was there.

Now if Katheryn was the person who was shot then trust me that would create a huge plot for Season 3 to go off of. I cover that entire scenario in this blog called “Did Amanda Shoot Katheryn?”

It covers everything from Katheryn’s will, whether or not Jim will run for governor (or if David would take his place), how it would affect Hanna and so on. I would have included it in this blog, but it is TOO long and it deserved its own post. So I would highly recommend that you read that blog as well.

haves-and-the-have-nots-tv-show

I think it is safe to assume that Jeffery would have a major breakdown if anything happened to Wyatt. If Amanda did shoot Wyatt then Jeffery would probably kill himself out of grief because he loves Wyatt!

Now if Amanda ended up shooting herself then I think she would either be dead or her baby would die. Either way, someone is going to find out that she is pregnant but by who still remains a mystery unless a blood test or something reveals that it was Professor Cannon! I’ll bet most of her family and friends will assume it is Quincy since they have been seeing each other (for a couple of days).

TrunksUubGoten

Anyone remember him? The law school professor who raped Amanda but the last time we saw him was when he was stabbed in the back (literally) by Amanda. Yeah, something tells me that he will make an appearance sooner or later once again.

To bring this blog to a close; let’s breakdown the scene of the crime scene moment by moment to see if we can figure out who was shot!

To the Batcomputer!!

To the Batcomputer!!

You know what time it is right? You’ve guessed it; BATMAN TIME! I went into full “detective mode” and I’ve watched the clip “Who Got Shot?” on Youtube in both normal speed, fast forward and slow motion at least a dozen times to see if I could make sense of the final scene!

Let’s start from the beginning shall we?

Amanda is really to get Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Moe started!

Amanda is really to get Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Moe started!

1. For starters, Amanda comes from the side hallway to Wyatt’s room. That means her bedroom is down the hall from Wyatt’s. PAY ATTENTION TO THAT PLATE ON THE HALLWAY TABLE!

Screenshot_11

She points the gun at Wyatt

2. She enters Wyatt’s bedroom and points the gun at his head (not going to lie…I thought she was going to shoot him right then and there!)

Next victim...

Next victim…

3. She leaves Wyatt’s room and heads down the hall; THAT PLATE!

Photos and light

Photos and light

4. While passing the plate, at the end of the table there are photos and a hallway light that she has to pass in order to get to Katheryn’s bedroom.

Watching Mama while she sleeps...

Watching Mama while she sleeps…

5. Amanda enters Katheryn’s bedroom to make sure she is accounted for. Why she doesn’t try to find Jim before starting the game is a mystery to me…

Doesn't she know that running with a gun is dangerous?

Doesn’t she know that running with a gun is dangerous?

6. Amanda zooms down the hallway back to Wyatt’s room! *That plate on the table proves it*

Eenie...

Eenie…

7. She starts singing…

She running!

She running!

8. Back down the hall *That plate!*

Meeny...

Meeny…

9. Next is Katheryn…

Next up is herself...

Next up is herself…

10. Amanda herself is up next which is why the gun is pointed at her own head

Now here is where things get mixed up!

Screenshot_21

Amanda leaves the WRONG bedroom with the gun pointed at her head!

11. Notice that PLATE! The camera SHOULD be showing us Amanda running out of Katheryn’s bedroom with the gun pointed at her head. Instead she is exiting Wyatt’s bedroom with the gun pointed at her head! Again it all goes down to that plate on the table being the clue that you should be paying attention to.

Screenshot_26

That side camera angle again!

12. Need more proof? She’s running OUT of Wyatt’s bedroom! Go up to #6 and you’ll see that it is the same room she is running towards when she starts going Eenie!

Wait isn't there someone missing?

Wait isn’t there someone missing?

13. The way Amanda is rubbing her gun-free hand up against her head, it seems like she is somewhat frustrated. Perhaps it is because Moe (Jim) is missing and that is throwing off her plans?

Screenshot_27

THAT PLATE!

14. Back to Wyatt’s room…

Screenshot_28

Pictures and hallway light again!

15. Coming from Katheryn’s room…

THAT PLATE!!!

THAT PLATE!!!

16. Alright and the LAST scene we see before the camera goes outside is her rushing towards Wyatt’s room

Who got shot?

Who got shot?

17. The shot heard round the world!

So that is the entire scene of Amanda with her gun from start to finish! Honestly, it isn’t quite clear WHO was shot because she was running back and forth. Again, it is most likely because of Jim being absent. Most people think that the window we see the flash coming from is actually a hallway window meaning that she probably tripped up from running too fast and the gun went off. Either that or she was hysterically going even more into insanity since Jim wasn’t there and just shot herself.

Look at how her legs are when climbing OUT of the bed but the gun is being held up and her eyes are fixed on Katheryn instead of the floor where she is placing her feet

Something else to take note of is that when going to Wyatt’s room; Amanda simply walked over to his bed with the gun pointed at his head. However, in Katheryn’s bedroom; Amanda had to CLIMB in and out of the bed! When she would climb out, she would have the gun pointed at her head or Katheryn’s head depending on what word of the song she was on. She never looked where she was placing her feet when climbing out of the bed. I guess you could say that she climbed out of Katheryn’s bed backwards because she would have her eyes focused on Katheryn instead of where she was putting her feet when she climbed back out.

It is very possible that when she was running back and forth with the gun pointed at her own head, that she tripped over her own feet or Katheryn’s bed sheets which caused the gun to go off.

Notice the positioning of the flash that came from the gunshot

Notice the positioning of the flash that came from the gunshot

Based on the angle of the light, it seems like Amanda was facing the window. Remember that when she came into Wyatt and Katheryn’s room, she was standing on the side of them where their faces were looking the other way in their sleep. It seems like based on where she’d be standing, the window was in her sights when she entered a room. So if she shot herself in Wyatt or Katheryn’s room (on purpose or by accident) she’d be standing over them and the flash could be seen from the window.

Just look at how HIGH the flash can be seen from the window. I don’t believe we’d be able to see the FULL flash from the gun if she was laying beside someone (Katheryn). I think she was standing up and holding the gun over their head so that might explain why we saw a full flash instead of a small or portion of the flash! It is possible that she is holding the gun up to her own head and BOOM!

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Again, based on how high that flash looks; Amanda was probably standing over her mom or brother and shot herself.

Finally, look back up at the photos when I broke apart the entire scene of her running from room to room with the gun. Notice anything strange? When she was in Katheryn’s room, she’d have the gun pointed across from the back of her head. While in Wyatt’s room, she’d have the gun pointing down. That is because she’d have to climb beside her mom, but stand over her brother. When it came to her own head, she’d have the gun pointed directly at it. So just the angle of the flash and the positioning of the gun says a lot about what actually happened.

The message that made Jim get out of bed and go outside; like an idiot!

The message that made Jim get out of bed and go outside; like an idiot!

When you look at it from a different perspective, Candace requesting that Jim gets kidnapped actually SAVED his life! It was from Candace and despite having a new cellphone (she bought one using some of the $5,000 that Warlock gave her) it is very likely that she was able to keep her same phone number which is why “Candace (mobile)” popped up on Jim’s phone.

So there you have it my friends, the finale of the Haves and the Have Nots Season 2!! Do you think anyone was actually killed? If so, who do you think Amanda shot?

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots Theory: Is Katheryn Dreaming Everything That Has Happened?

By Jeremy Carden

haveshavenots_toodarnht

Once again, my mother has brought up a very plausible theory about the TV show that gets us excited about Tuesday nights!

 haves and have nots 58

Here is the topic of this HAHN Theory Blog: Is Katheryn Cryer dreaming everything that is occurring in the show?

Stop for a second and just think about it (that was what I had to do when my mother brought it to my attention). I know it seems unlikely and confusing to even consider it being plausible. By now, you should know that when I make these blog with theories that seem impossible there are always facts to back up my claims.

My mom and I hashed things out as best we could and it seems that Katheryn has been dreaming everything that has been going on since halfway through Season 1. We have reason to believe this “dream” began at 1 of 2 possible points in the beginning of the series.

1. After Hanna gave Katheryn some weed to smoke, it is possible that it gave her an “extended high” if you will. We all know that she was literally on Cloud 9 after she had her first joint. One of my favorite scenes from the series so far was when Celine was suspicious of a familiar aroma in the house. She suspected that someone had been smoking weed, but she did not know who. At first, she said that if Wyatt were at home then it would be easy to deduce that it was him. However, the only people in the house were her, Hanna, and Katheryn (Jim was at his office).

3097180-7125308086-The_J

The part the cracked me up (no pun intended) was when Katheryn came down the stairs with a grin on her face that made her look like the Joker! She asked Hanna to come with her for a second and when they were alone she asked for some more. Hanna refused saying that it was only something to be used when necessary.

If I remember correctly, that was the first time in her life that she had smoked and it is possible she experienced a reaction to being high that made her dream everything that has happened since that moment.

2. Now for the second and more probable scenario, we need to take a look at the time Katheryn was in the hospital undergoing surgery for her breast cancer.

There are many pieces of evidence during this time that made my mom suspect that Katheryn was put into a dreamlike state of mind.

First off, she had to be knocked out before going into surgery and afterwards she was probably asleep as well. So her mind could have slipped away and she has been dreaming everything that has occurred from that point onward. When she wakes up with Hanna at her bedside that would have been the beginning of her dream.

Another time when this could have occurred was when she suddenly started coughing and gasping for air. She asked Hanna to run and get the doctors so that is another possible moment when she passed out and began dreaming everything that has been going on.

ep113-own-hhn-3-365x240

Here is the piece of evidence that tipped my mom off to this possibly being a dream; remember when Hanna stepped out of the room and came back in only to see Katheryn fully dressed and standing beside her bed?

My mom said, “Listen, just seeing her jump up like that despite having just gone through surgery and whatnot didn’t make any sense to me.”

I tried to counter that by elaborating on the fact that she was in extreme discomfort because Hanna told her that the doctors said she needed to stay in bed for at least a couple more days until she could get back on her feet.

The reason she rushed out of bed was because Hanna had told her Amanda was in the hospital as well for trying to take her life.

ep111-own-hhn-9-365x240

Despite hospital policy, she declined coming out of the hospital room and building in a wheelchair because she needed to put on the facade that she was completely fine. It turns out that was the best strategy because the moment her and Hanna came around the corner, standing in front of her was Amanda, Jim and Wyatt.

I went on to mention that even after Katheryn got home; she was stuck in bed for a couple of days trying to recover from her surgery.

What made our theories come full circle was after I mentioned one extremely important and nearly forgotten piece of the puzzle from Season 1: the video will that Hanna has of Katheryn on camera!

Honestly, how many of you have forgotten about it? I don’t blame you because it was something that only appeared at the beginning of one episode and hasn’t been brought up again since. I believe it was right before Katheryn went into surgery and she had Hanna record it for her.

My personal observation was that the video will was Tyler Perry’s way of foreshadowing the eventual death of Katheryn Cryer.

c640x360_22

I know many fans (including myself and my mom) compare the relationship/friendship of Katheryn and Hanna to that of Charlotte and Alice from The Family that Preys movie. That makes a lot of sense because one is a “Have” and the other is a “Have Not.” Most people associate those phrases with a person who is wealthy and another who is not. However, it should be mentioned that in life and most of Tyler Perry’s writing, to be rich is not always about monetary value. It is about soul, family and having the things in life that truly make it all worthwhile.

*In the movie, Charlotte tells Alice that she was was suffering from Alzheimer’s which alters a person’s memory and causes the mind to decline. While this theory is about Katheryn dreaming up everything that is occurring in the show within her own mind. Not to mention in the HAHN, Katheryn is suffering from breast cancer (which Hanna did as well prior to the beginning of the series) and only Hanna knew about it*

HHN_C2_The_Black_Sedan_002.jpg

According to her will, Jim is to receive not one cent of her money while her children will receive their inheritance which is $12 million. However, if any of them were to battle against the stipulations of the will then they will be immediately removed from the will and their share of the money will go to charity. Either that or it would be divided by the remaining people still listed in the will.

*Keep in mind that I’m writing this entire thing from memory and some of the details are a bit fuzzy in my head. So if I make small mistakes in the details then please be understanding*

Since Amanda is planning on suing her parents for the inheritance based on Katheryn’s will she is to be removed from it!

Putting the evidence together, I do believe that my mom is onto something here with her theory. We finally broke it down by going over how Katheryn “knows” everything that is going on in the world around her or the one she has created in her subconscious.

images

She knew that Jeffery was gay so that part of her “dream” makes sense because she knew he is attracted to men (and in this case her own son because of the time they spend together while he is in rehab).

Summer OWN

Depending on when her dream started (smoking the joint or when she was in the hospital), she knew Candace was having an affair with her husband. She gave her famous #9 speech before going into the hospital for surgery. I told my mom that she knew about the affair long before that because of the “cheap lipstick and perfume” she saw and smelled on Jim’s clothes. The interesting part about this is that it is not revealed to her that Candace is Hanna’s daughter until AFTER she gets out of the hospital. Keep in mind though that Hanna did tell her while she was lying in the hospital bed that she had a daughter and son. While her son (Benny) was a good boy, her daughter (Candace) was one to raise hell.

Katheryn could relate because her son (Wyatt) was the one that raised hell (like Candace), and her daughter (Amanda) was sweet and caring (like Benny) but is innocent and naïve.

haves-havenots6

She knows David is the opposite of Jim in terms of being a loving husband along with Veronica being an overbearing mother to Jeffery.

Finally, we move on to her children and how this dream possibly made her see the worst of them.

The-Scarecrow-in-the-elevator-batman-arkham-asylum-24368294-1366-768

I’m going to go into “nerd-mode” for a second here; if you are familiar with the Batman villain The Scarecrow then you know about his fear toxin. The purpose of this gas is to make anyone who breathes it in to hallucinate and see their deepest and darkest fears brought to the surface.

frankmiller-asbar-child-01

In Katheryn’s case, it seems that her fears about her children go back to that summer at camp when they were sexual abused by the priests. When affected by the gas, Batman sometimes remembers the death of his parents and feels an extreme amount of guilt because he blames himself for what happened that night when he asked them to leave the movie theater early.

ep117-own-hhn-9-365x240

Katheryn feels an extreme amount of guilt because she wasn’t there that summer to protect them. It was Jim who was supposed to be there watching their kids but for whatever reason he wasn’t. During his absence, that was when Amanda and Wyatt were taken advantage of and what resulted in her harming herself while Wyatt drank and smoked his pain away.

Whether it was the weed or the medication that put her to sleep in the hospital, Katheryn’s deepest fears have been brought to the surface and she is dreaming everything that has occurred so far.

1389968478-0

She knows that her husband is a cheat, underhanded and will do whatever it takes to come out on top even if it means killing. That explains the part of her dream where Candace is kidnapped and “killed.” She knows about his other 8 mistresses and you could associate fear in that scenario being that she is very afraid of Jim knocking up another woman. Though based on recent episodes, you could deduce that Celine was one of those women who had a child by Jim which explains why she isn’t fired and refuses to quit.

zap-the-haves-and-the-have-nots-season-2-photo-002

In terms of Wyatt’s behavior and him hitting Benny along with that little girl, her fears would be that drinking and doing drugs would not only affect him but also the people around him. One of the worst things that could happen if he continued on his path of self-destructive behavior was taking the life of another person.

Screenshot_4

The same could be said about her fears of Amanda’s self-destructive behavior eventually being taking out on another person.

I could go on and on down the list, but I will end it right there because the two of us agreed that there are so many possible scenarios that could come with this theory.

The_Haves_and_The_Have_Nots_S01E23_mp41551

One final thing my mom brought up was that it was just suspicious and strange that Jim would still be running for governor despite everything that is happening in his family. I mentioned that Jim isn’t the only politician (in real life) who has run for office despite not having a skeleton but an entire cemetery in his closet.

So there you have it, Katheryn suddenly jumping out of bed after surgery and Jim running for office despite everything that is going on was why my mom brought up this theory.

The video will Hanna recorded could possibly foreshadow Katheryn’s death, but that has yet to be seen.

PS1E1_screenshot22

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of “coma theories” because I grew up watching Pokemon as a child. One popular theory is that in Episode 1 after Pikachu defeated all of those Spearow with an electric attack, Ash was knocked out and put into a coma. Ever since that episode, he has been dreaming about all of his adventures and that explains why he is still 10-years-old despite the show airing on TV for well over a decade now.

WhoShotJR

To me it just feels like a slap in the face to the audience because everything they’ve been watching has been a lie, but that is just me. If this is indeed a correct theory, would I be upset? Well kind of, but it is creative writing I will say that much. My mom brought up something like this occurring in an old show called “Dallas.” Yeah, it was way before my time and I had no idea what she was talking about. She explained to me how it was soap opera that was like the HAHN because it had amazing cliffhangers. There was a character she mentioned named J.R. I believe who was placed into a coma or something and dreamed the events of the series for a certain amount of time.

Could Tyler Perry be recreating that scenario in the HAHN? Well it is very likely, but in any case I cannot wait to see if this is a legit theory or not!

Young Justice: Do you think Kaldur and Artemis could ever become a couple?

by Jeremy Carden

Here we have the primary leader of the Team and the first member of the Team suspected to be a traitor. How in the world could they ever be hooked up romantically? images (14) When you look at the facts these two have a lot more in common than most people realize. I’ll be going over their similarities both on and off the Team, family members and issues along with anything else I feel is worthy of note.

Going through some details from both seasons 1 and 2, Artemis and Kaldur may have more similarities with each other than they did with the ones that they loved and lost; Wally and Tula. images (8) images (13) *NOTE: I haven’t read the entire comic book series that goes along with the show, so there are only one or two bits from the comic book entries that I will use in my evaluation meaning most of my evidence will come from the TV series.*

Both of them have daddy issues; ,. Aqualad’s biological father Black Manta was working as an agent of the Light. images (14) In Young Justice: Invasion, he replaced Ocean Master as one of the 7 core members at the Light’s table. images (9) Sportsmaster was also an agent of the Light under the title of the Light’s enforcer. images (8) In Young Justice: Invasion, instead of being “promoted” like Manta, HE was the one who was replaced by Deathstroke. images (5) Ironically enough, it was Aqualad and Artemis’ deception that caused this coup in the Light’s hierarchy considering the animosity between Sportsmaster and the Light (more specifically Black Manta) was due to Manta’s son “killing” his daughter without his permission.

Going even deeper into the psychological impact their fathers had on them; Manta and Sportsmaster wanted nothing more than to “mold” their children into what they wanted them to be. ; Black Manta was willing to do whatever it took even physical persuasion (beating the crap out of his son) to mold Kaldur into the sinister villain that he turned out to be. He even says in “Summit” that he would beat it into his skull if necessary. images (21) Sportsmaster (according to Artemis) made his daughters learn “the hard way” that disobedience would not be tolerated; hinting that he trained them to the extreme even as children to become a part of “the life” that their mother wanted them to avoid at all costs.

One of the most interesting pieces of evidence came in season 2; Black Manta thought that Tigress and his son were romantically involved or at least had strong feelings for each other.

This was mentioned when Tigress volunteered to go to the surface to abduct Miss M. to come and fix the damage she had done to Kaldur’s mind. images (10) Manta even goes on to say that he would send Deathstroke along just in case because he felt that his son would never forgive him if something happened to her. Young-Justice-Invasion-Episode-9-Darkest-Tigress-and-Aqualad-1 I can see how he would get the idea; these two were ALWAYS around each other. tumblr_inline_mg7e5hmlIb1r0ywfa Kaldur had handpicked her as his trusted lieutenant and right-hand on missions. images (12) images (9) Tigress was by his side the entire time Miss M. was fixing his mind (she needed to be in order to help her with the process). Being his father, it is understandable why he feels he could pick up on this kind of thing. tyut Of course it was all for good reason because these two were undercover and had to have each other’s back at all times in order for their mission to succeed but more importantly; for them to survive.

Another piece of evidence of their similar family issues was when the final showdown battling their fathers took place; images (19) After Artemis finally beat Sportsmaster (with help from some of the Apocalyptic weaponry) she was seen by Kid Flash to be staring deeply at her defeated father. It seemed like a look of guilt, pity and regret.

This was the same longing look that Kaldur had after he defeated his father in “Summit” except it was Nightwing who noticed him standing over his defeated father. Artemis seemed to perk up holding her father’s mask as a “souvenir” for the Trophy Room and smiling at Kid Flash. j However in Kaldur’s case, after his friends told him that their mission was a success crippling the Light’s forces Kaldur finally accepted that this was a victory rather than a botched up assignment, he took one last look at his defeated father that made me think he was really feeling bad for beating him. uy Remember before these two even engaged in combat, he told Manta that he was conflicted because he had seen Manta’s noble side. There were many moments while working with his father that allowed Kaldur to see that he not only cared for him but he loved his son deeply. ryt One of the biggest moments of deception that let Kaldur see this was when he faked his recovering being a result of seeing his father in danger. Black Manta even goes on to tell the Light that he felt truly blessed for his son to be made whole again. Young-Justice-Invasion-Depths-8-Aqualad-Black-Manta The thing that hurt Manta the most was that he trusted Kaldur with everything he had. It was a real shame because he was one of the few “loving” parents seen in this show. hjj I mean he was one of the most emotionally challenged characters in Season 2, especially thinking that he son had died right in front of his eyes! Sportsmaster seemed to care more about his reputation as an enforcer than his daughters. o His only hint of caring was helping his daughter keep her true identity contained by destroying Manta’s submarine security equipment.

True, it wasn’t the hugs and verbal compliments that Manta gave his son but Crusher isn’t exactly what most would call the “caring type.”

One could argue that the only reason Sportsmaster helped was because Artemis (as Tigress) and Kaldur were making “chumps” out of Manta and the Light; basically doing his dirty work for him. Another similarity boils down to Artemis and Kaldur’s knowledge of their bloodlines; images (22) images (28) Artemis knew about her father and sister still living as criminals while her mother was an ex-con but decided to keep it that information a secret from the rest of the Team. Green_Arrow_introduces_Artemis Batman, Robin (unknown to Artemis until Usual Suspects) and Green Arrow (and likely Black Canary) knew her true lineage and decided to pass her off as Green Arrow’s niece. e9cd7dca In Kaldur’s case, he did not know that Black Manta was his biological father. From what he had been told, his father was one of Manta’s men who came to love a native of Atlantis and from that romance he was born. It wasn’t until later that he discovered that Aquaman had kept his true heritage a secret. upop We are never informed as to how and when he learned that Manta was his father but it was the perfect façade that would get him in on the Light’s side (along with the love of his life dying). Having him being angry at his mentor for keeping his true lineage a secret and his heart being broken from his love being taken away from him on one of the Team’s mission served as the PERFECT coverup as to why he decided to go rogue. cvxbc This was never seen (maybe it will be in the video game), but I want to see Kaldur when he first approached his father and how he even convinced him to let him join his side. images (20) So, they both came from “bad blood” but were able to break the family chain by joining the side of justice rather than criminal activity.

Another thing to point out is that at some point during their stay on the Team they doubted their abilities, dedication or drive to stay on the Team.

iuui

For Aqualad, it was when he felt torn between being leader and going back to Atlantis to be with Tula.

images

For Artemis, it was constantly feeling like she was a traitor (especially due to Red Arrow’s accusations). At the end of “Insecurities” she was confronted by her father and that was when her final choice had to be made.

Alright, so now that we’ve gotten the family similarities taken care of; let’s discuss their interaction and thoughts about each other.

uoio

It is interesting to note that aside from being by his side and taking care of him during his catatonic state in Season 2, she was by his side in Season 1 “Bereft” due to Psimon’s mental powers he had the past 6 months erased from his memory.

vbncn

Not to mention Miss M was too preoccupied thinking about Superboy to restore Aqualad’s memories so Artemis was there by his side.

images (15)

Artemis saved Kaldur from the molten lava in Dr. Fate’s castle, but didn’t miss a beat in scolding Wally for flirting with Miss M despite being seconds away from falling to their deaths by the lava.

It was also interesting to think about when Artemis first joined the team she had an attraction to Superboy.

l;

This kind of caused bad blood between her and Miss M (still not open with her feelings about Conner).

tumblr_m9v0cjI7Ph1qlx84to1_500

However, they eventually got over that little squabble and became like sisters.

k

Then in the next episode, it was kind of like they were trying to pair off with members of the team.

MV5BOTQzMDA0NjExN15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMDU0OTE2Ng@@._V1._SX640_SY360_

Artemis was trying to get Miss M to hook up with Aqualad only for her to comment that he was like a big brother to her. That is true since he kind of took a similar role that Robin did for Starfire in Teen Titans; he was teaching the alien about Earth customs.

ljk;l

He did the same for Superboy and in the process “knew that they were going to become a couple before they did.”

Miss M then mentions that Artemis and Wally would be the perfect couple because she is so full of passion and Wally is full of…it.

Of course in “Revelation” there was no way that I was going to pass up this moment;

images (4)

Only for Aqualad to comment that they shall make their own “fun”

Maneuver_Seven

…by using Maneuver 7!! (I’ve always wondered what the first 6 were….)

At one point, Aqualad was suspicious of Artemis in fact being a traitor but as time went on he got over it.

images (15)

He told Red Arrow, Red Tornado, Robin and Batman that fighting alongside his Team for so long that he didn’t think ANY of the members would betray them.

images (11)

Of course with all of that being said, I don’t think that Artemis would have gotten together with Kaldur BEFORE dating Wally or in Season 2 while they were undercover together for weeks (possibly even months).

jll

Now, I can’t say that they possibly won’t start dating after the events of the finale with Wally’s passing and Artemis’ hanging up her quiver to begin crime fighting as Tigress in order to give herself space between her life as Wally’s partner.

If there are any other moments in the series/comics that you feel are worthy of note, please feel free to mention them in the comment section below.

Also, your thoughts on this subject are welcome because I’d like to know how you feel about these two if they did start dating.
