Help Me Reach 100,000 YouTube Subscribers!

by Jeremy Carden

To everyone who has supported me ever since my days blogging on WordPress, I cannot thank you enough for helping me along my journey. The transition to YouTube a couple of years ago has reached a level that I never expected to achieve after such a short amount of time.

In this post, I just want to express my gratitude to my subscribers and followers because I could not have made it this far without you. I will be going over some of the numbers from 2018, and how each of my social media platforms have grown. Some people might find figures and numbers a bit boring, but I could not be more excited to share my success with you! This will allow you to see that each video that you watch and online post that you LIKE and SHARE makes a difference!

October 2017 was when I left my full-time job at a call center in order to focus on my YouTube channel for a living. The Haves and the Have Nots was a show that I loved with a passion, and my channel was focused on reviewing the series.

With the whole mess involving Logan Paul posting the body of a suicide victim online, YouTube was faced with what was called the “Ad-pocalypse.” Content creators on YouTube were dealing with very strict rules on videos because nearly everything was being held for review before advertisements could be added. This really slowed down my income for the first few months of 2018.

However, things started to get back on track sometime in April. One reason for my increase in success is because of TubeBuddy. It’s is a free program for YouTubers to utilize in order to keep track of the progress of their channel. This amazing program sent me a video earlier today that broke down my channel’s growth last year. Below are the numbers:

Screenshot_68

Screenshot_74

As you can see, there was a massive increase in the number of videos that I posted. With more time to create, I can record and upload videos at a much faster rate. Will I have an even greater number of uploads in 2019? I would like to focus more on quality over quantity, but I must report on news that is dropped into my lap for fans to stay informed. Also, the increase in views is an extension of the videos that I post. If possible, I hope the channel will hit 20 million views before the end of the year.

Finally, I want to talk about the massive jump in subscribers! If you have been watching my videos or following my Instagram account, you know that 100k is my long-term goal! If the channel continues the momentum, I have no doubt that it will hit that magic number before 2020. My hope is that I hit that milestone before I turn 28 on August 29th.

Now, here are the Top 3 videos from 2018:

Screenshot_72

Screenshot_71

Screenshot_69

If the storyline for Season 6 is as jam-packed as Season 5, I have no doubt that there will be a video or two to hit over 200,000 views!

Screenshot_81

With the channel currently over 58,000 subscribers, I have hope that it can hit 70,000 before the end of March. It really depends on how many people tune-in for the season premiere on Tuesday, January 8th.

What can you do to help?

Honestly, it is just a simple matter of sharing my channel around to other fans of The Haves and the Have Nots. The series is still the #1 show on OWN! That means there are millions of people who watch the show. However, not all of those fans are aware of my YouTube channel.

maxresdefault (15)

Once the channel hits 100k subscribers, I am certain that it will continue to grow at an even higher rather. Currently, my channel is at the Bronze level with Youtube. This is a level for channels with 10,000-100,000 subscribers. After reaching over 100k, my channel will be at the Silver and Up level. This means YouTube will make my content even more visible during searches.

As badly as I want to reach that level, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate how far my channel has come since 2017. Once again, I cannot express the amount of gratitude to each one of you for your support.

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots Theory: The Waters Run Deep Review

By Jeremy Carden

11907208_914450651960723_2040476160599964211_n

If you have read my blog about Maggie screwing herself over in the last episode, then you knew that this blog was coming.

At this point, I have watched the new episode 4 times already!

Honestly, I felt a bit “meh” after watching it. The first time that I watched it, I did not feel that I watched it as critically as I should have in terms of looking for clues to fuel my theory blogs. I was feeling the hype just because my favorite show was back on television!

The next day, I watched the show 2 times, but I still had an uneasiness feeling about it. Finally, I rewatched the episode today before writing my blogs before next week’s episode.

Screenshot_5

Honestly, you can breakdown the 45 minute episode into this small list:

  • 3 minutes recapping the previous season
  • 10 minutes of Jeffrey whining while Candace tries to calm him down
  • 5 minutes of Benny trying to convince Hanna to come to his house
  • 3 minutes of Hanna trying to convince Benny that the house is evil
  • 3 minutes of Veronica and Katheryn arguing against everything while entering the prison
  • 3 minutes of David and Jim silently entering the prison
  • 3 minutes of Jennifer playing Wyatt to testify and get him some of his inheritance
  • 30 seconds of both the male and female “Haves” groups reacting to phrase “cavity search”
  • 4 minutes of David and Jim threatening each other
  • 4 minutes of Veroninca concocting a plan to get herself and Katheryn out of prison
  • 20 seconds of Quitta leaving Quincy voicemails about if he got Benny or not
  • 2 minutes of Jennifer convincing the guard that her plan against the Haves will work
  • An unforeseen amount of time (probably the entire episode) of Veronica plotting her revenge
  • 8 minutes of Maggie and Landon going back and forth over leaking a story to the media

I can sum up the episode with just one word; setup.

As expected, this episode was supposed to be the setup for what is to come during the rest of Season 4.

Here is my problem with that; we saw characters who received great character development during Season 3 slam right into the wall during this episode!

Screenshot_36

The main characters that I am referring to are Maggie and Jeffrey. If you would like to get all of my thoughts on Maggie, you can read about it here. It is a blog dedicated to Maggie essentially digging her own grave by putting out the story about Jim and Veronica.

Both Maggie and Jeffrey got a good deal of character development last season, but now they have relapsed into the trap that most characters on this show fall into; stupid decision-making!

Screenshot_39

Again, you can get my full thoughts on Maggie in my other blog. You could tell that she was making a rash decision JUST to make a rash decision about leaking out that story! Landon was quick to call her out MULTIPLE times, but she still was willing to have the nation know that Jim covered up Wyatt’s hit-and-run charges alongside Veronica who was having relations with her clients (Benny).

He kept telling Maggie that they covered up a murder, and they are capable of anything. This includes coming after her in a rage over her actions. When told that she should not underestimate Veronica, Maggie replied that she should not underestimate her either.

Screenshot_42

Seriously, Maggie was always at the top of her game, and by the end of Season 3; she had Veronica right where she wanted her. All she had to do was sit on the sidelines, and she could have let the rest fall into place. Instead, she is signing her own death warrant.

Screenshot_8

Jeffrey is another character that stood up to Veronica, and then to person that he loves (Wyatt)! Basically, he has had enough of anyone giving him crap for his homosexual lifestyle. Even though his mom had him in an arranged marriage and trip to parenthood; Jeffrey had enough!

After Quincy nearly beat him to death last season, Jeffrey flips the script by stabbing the thug to death to save Candace’s life! What a way to end the season for Jeffrey right?

Unfortunately, this new bad ass Jeffrey is replaced with a 5-year-old version of himself. You know the Jeffrey we saw back in Season 1…

Screenshot_10

I can understand that someone like Jeffrey would react to his first kill in a similar fashion to what he did in the episode. However, it was his constant complaining and dumb decisions that made me cringe!

The argument that he and Candace had about calling the police and what they would do reminded me of that episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air  when Will was talking to Carlton about why the cops pull over black people in nice cars.

You have one black person who was born on the other side of the tracks, but knew how the system works (Will/Candace). The other black person lived a pampered lifestyle, and felt that they knew how the system worked (Carlton/Jeffrey).

I do not know if the cast or Tyler Perry wrote that bit into the episode, but props to whoever came up with that!

Screenshot_7

Looking at the scene again, I could not tell whose side I was really on. At first, I was with Jeffrey because he was talking about how it was self-defense.

Screenshot_17

However, Candace used that lawyer brain to good use with terminology and facts to back up why calling the police was a bad idea. The final nail in the coffin for me was when she said that Veronica could use this to her advantage to keep Jeffrey wrapped around her icy fingers.

Overall, Jeffrey is the kind of person I would not want to be lost anywhere with or get into any trouble with because he would either panic, snitch or does something dumb to give us away…

Again, I get that he was not thinking straight, but he was about to walk out of the front door covered in blood!

Screenshot_61

I cannot fault him for not wanting to move the body because I cannot stand the sight of blood, but Candace can’t move Quincy herself! I just hope that he can man up for a little bit, and help Candace get through this rather than slow her down.

What I wanted to see happen was Jeffrey being shocked at the murder, but got reassurance from Candace that it was alright. Then she could have brought up the fact that Quincy nearly killed him before last season when he did not tell him where Candace was hiding. This could have made Jeffrey a bit more secure knowing that he stopped a murderer from hurting anyone else.

Screenshot_13

Jeffrey (still shaken) would have calmed down for the moment. However, during random moments throughout the season, he would have flashbacks and nightmares of the killing. This would cause him to find a way to cope. Perhaps with alcohol or even drugs as his crutch because there might be a chance that addictive genes flowed from Veronica into Jeffrey.

Jim called out Katheryn for blaming her raging alcoholic father as the reason that Wyatt is prone to pick up a bottle. The same could be true for Jeffrey since his mother was addicted to pain pills once, and stayed away from alcohol for years because she was also addicted to the bottle.

Any of these scenarios would have been great character development rather than Jeffrey whimpering and possibly snitching on what went down in Candace’s house.

Screenshot_1

Seeing characters that are intelligent, but make dumb decisions just for the sake of making dumb decisions does not appeal to me. It makes it feels as they do it on purpose to put themselves in vulnerable positions for the sake of moving the plot along.

It reminds me of Jim going outside to meet Candace in the front yard only to be kidnapped by Warlock’s crew. Not to mention Candace agreeing to meet the overly compliant Jim in the park at night only to be kidnapped by the Malones.

Basically, characters who are in control allow their emotions to get the better of them which results in them screwing themselves over.

Screenshot_34

Maggie is desperate to get David’s named cleared, and to get him out of prison. Jim was looking for comfort after getting his ass handed to him by Quincy. Candace was distraught after Benny died, and she thought that she had nothing left to lose. That was why she made the demands to Jim, and revealed that she was carrying his child. Remember that she thought Benny was dead before it was revealed that Katheryn had him moved to another hospital.

I just hope that this theme does not continue to repeat itself in future seasons because it does not make the characters look good in my opinion.

Screenshot_45

Wyatt is getting played by Jennifer, and that is really all I have to say about that. I think that he is being a bit too compliant with everything she is telling him. Her vendetta is against Jim, but she is also trying to get justice for Little Lizzie.

Seriously, if Wyatt testifies that he was the one to hit Lizzie, but his parents and the Harringons covered it up; where does that leave him?

oprah.com-20150826-hhn-222-promo-2-949x534-550x309

Jennifer promised him immunity, but where is he going to go? The Haves were arrested on television, Jim’s outside kids with Celine was broadcasted all over national television and the original story about the hit-and-run quickly traveled across Georgia.

Everyone in the U.S. will know Wyatt was the one to do the crime, but I still do not get how he won’t get any time!

Screenshot_78

Wyatt might not be doing drugs anymore, but alcohol is his new crack. He was already an alcoholic, but this is ridiculous! I bet he will have a field day while his parents are in prison over the weekend.

Basically, he is fine with getting payback for what they did to him, and Jennifer is using him for her own purposes.

Screenshot_57

I think Hanna HAS to come to Benny’s house because he made a good point about child services knowing that her house burnt down. What is she going to do?

They will not allow her to maintain custody after learning that her and Quincy Jr. are staying at a motel.

Screenshot_65

Quitta is wondering where her brother is without knowing that he is bleeding out on a floor. Not sure if she knew the location of Candace’s house, but she might be in more episodes if she does know.

However, Quincy probably went to Hanna’s house and then Candace’s. My guess is that Quitta is in the dark about the location of the house; at least for right now.

Screenshot_67

Did anyone notice Quincy’s chest move a couple of times, or think that his hand moved when his phone was ringing?

Screenshot_49

Obviously, the long-awaited Jim vs. David fight is coming. These two went back and forth the entire episode either verbally or through body language.

Screenshot_53

David has made it clear that if anything happens to his wife; Jim is gonna get it.

Screenshot_54

Jim wants nothing to do with David because he covered for Veronica about what she did to Wyatt.

I think that David and Katheryn are the MOST DANGEROUS characters in the series. Katheryn told Candace that she does not want to awaken the true bitch in her.

David told Veronica that sometimes he can be a son of a bitch. Then he told Jim that he is a good friend, but a better enemy. Also, he will unleash an enemy the likes of which he has never seen. He says that line a few times in the episode. I’m assuming that is his new catchphrase. Remember when it was “I’ll handle it?”

Screenshot_72

We saw in the preview for next week that if anything happened to her son, Katheryn was going to give Veronica something to fear!

I am telling you that these two are slow to anger, but they will win every time! David has already yanked the $7.4 million rug from underneath Candace’s feet.

Screenshot_20

Funniest part of the episode was obviously the banter than Veronica and Katheryn had while entering the prison. From removing their jewelry, Veronica taking off her hair and the threat of a cavity search; I was dying from laughter!

Screenshot_24

It was an interesting dynamic to see them behind bars. Especially for Jim because he made Wyatt endure the same treatment last season.

Considering that the Haves will most likely be jail for the entire weekend, my guess is that the midseason finale will be when they are released after they get on the phone with one of their legal partners.

Around that time, the story of Jim teaming up with Veronica to cover up the hit-and-run charges will be released which will fan the flames of vengeance. This will lead to the second half of the season which will again lead to some deaths!

Screenshot_60

Candace pulling out the garbage bags from the counter under the sink had me rolling as well. at least she did not pull out a bag filled with 20 other Wal-Mart bags! Don’t lie, we all have those somewhere in our houses…

This is just my own speculation, but I would also love to get your theories in the comment section below.

I know this blog seemed harsher than my other theory blogs, but I really want the show to do well. I want it to get better and better with each season/episode.

Screenshot_32

Instead of adding more and more to the plot, I would like for old (or even forgotten) plot points to be revisited and resolved before adding more to the story.

Don’t worry, I will still watch the show, tweet and write these blogs. I just don’t want to ignore some flaws in the series by being a fan boy. Hoping that there are some surprises around the corner that not even I expected to keep my blood flowing!

Screenshot_66

What did you think of the episode? Will the pace pick up in the next few episodes? Did you like the character shift in Maggie and Jeffrey?

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots Theory: Has Maggie Dug Her Own Grave?

By Jeremy Carden

11907208_914450651960723_2040476160599964211_n

Fellow HAHN fans, our show has finally returned to television giving us all a reason to love Mondays. We can now appreciate Monday because we know that the next day will bring up a new episode of our favorite late night drama.

The Waters Run Deep brings us back to our favorite characters dealing with the aftermath of the dramatic conclusion of Season 3.

Screenshot_6

We see the Haves getting arrested and Quincy got carved like a Christmas turkey by Jeffrey.

Basically, this new episode was covering what the characters were doing to adjust to their new dilemmas.

Screenshot_35

I will do another blog covering my thoughts on the episode as a whole, but this blog is going to focus on Maggie Day.

The reason that this blog is just now coming out is because I did not want to write while I was angry. Why was I angry with the HAHN back on the air?

Screenshot_4

It has to do with what happened in this episode, but I will save that “rant” for my next blog. This blog will just be about the scene between Maggie and Landon.

Based on articles posted online by Allison McAtee from interviews, Maggie Day was supposed to appear in only a handful of episodes. However, with some tweaks to the script, Maggie played a much bigger role in the overall plot. While some fans are not fond of her character, I must say that I actually like her.

ep136-own-hhn-13-949x534

I am not saying that I like her because she is trying to break apart the “Harrington dynasty.” Overall, I like her character being a powerful woman that is not crazy. However, that is not the case when it comes to this episode.

Maggie did not go psycho, but she pretty much went out of her character.

the_haves_and_the_have_nots_s01e23_mp41879

She has always been the “in the background” type of person who was calm and calculating. I dare say that she was more dangerous than Veronica or Candace because she was not fueled by her emotions. When Maggie saw something (or someone like David) that she wanted, we would see her plan out every move.

She did not do anything without a reason, and she was almost like the female version of David because he told Candace that he is not ruled by emotion. Though this is somewhat disproved when it comes to Veronica…

Screenshot_38

Maggie is pretty distraught that “her man” was put into prison, and still believes that she can get him to the governor’s mansion. She “believes in him” as she puts it, and Landon is quick to call her out for her bull.

The only other time I have seen her this flustered was when she was trying to hold off the press conference because Jim was not there (he was still in custody by Candace).

Screenshot_26

Then when she threw all of her cards on the table with Veronica while revealing what REALLY happened between her and David.

Her new plan is to leak a story to the press about Jim covering up Wyatt’s hit-and-run case, and how he has been in some sort of a more than friendly relationship with Veronica.

Screenshot_39

She then finally gives Landon the photos of Veronica and Benny to use as proof of Veronica being in compromising positions with her clients.

Landon pleads with his boss that she is making a huge mistake because she is only doing this to get with David. He even warns her that the Haves were willing to cover up a murder, and they will come after her with a vengeance.

Maggie then goes into a rant about how she IS the good woman that David deserves. Basically, she is saying that she is a good woman, but she is trying to sabotage David’s marriage. I am not saying that the marriage was already in jeopardy, but she has not right to interfere.

Screenshot_41

I think it is safe to assume that there have been other “Davids” during Maggie’s career in political as a campaign manager. Why do I say that?

She drops two lines of dialogue that are spread out between the ending of Season 2, and the first episode of Season 4 (the one we saw last week).

When Veronica was in her face about having an affair, she tells her that she is not the first overprotective wife that she has encountered. Last week, Maggie told Landon that none of “her tricks” have worked on David.

Screenshot_46

It is clear that she has tried to get “her man” in the past, and it might be safe to assume that some of those men were married!

Given that this was the first episode of the new season, I think we all know that this plan is going to backfire in her face either during the midseason finale or the season finale.

Screenshot_85

She could be the person that dies at the end of this season. We have seen that at the ending of each season, Tyler Perry kills off one (or more) of the characters!

After making it this far into the blog, you are probably wondering why I seemed upset at the beginning of this piece.

I am frustrated because it just seemed out of leftfield for Maggie to suddenly drop the ball so hard. Landon warned her about Jim and Veronica coming after her for that story. Then he even says that she is only doing this to get David, and not because she “believes” in his ability to win.

Screenshot_1

What really makes me mad is that Maggie ended Season 3 on such a high note. The truth about that night at the hotel was finally revealed to Veronica, she called her out in her own home. Then she revealed that she knew the Ice Queen was having an affair!

I get that seeing “her man” get arrested would have her upset, but she is just making an EXTREMELY stupid mistake that is going to backfire on her.

Screenshot_66

Veronica has already told Katheryn that she is concocting a plan while sitting in their jail cell in order to get back at Wyatt, Jennifer and everyone else who has disrespected her in the prison.

Can you imagine what she will do to Maggie after that story is released?

Really it comes down to an intelligent character like Maggie doing something that is completely stupid just to make the story move along that plucks my nerves.

She kept telling Landon that “a source” was giving her all of the information that she told him to leak to the press. That sounds like a solid plan, but you have to remember that Veronica will know that it was Maggie.

Last season, Maggie showed Veronica the photos of her and Benny! Veronica is going to somehow come out of that prison like a bat out of hell, and she will bite Maggie’s head off! Again, this is not something the Maggie that I have seen so far would do. She must really think that Jim and Veronica are going to stay behind bars.

Screenshot_44

All she had to do was continue to sit on the sidelines, and then she could watch things play out in her favor.

Seriously, David would have eventually discovered the affair that his wife was having with Benny. Remember that he told Veronica that cheating on him would be the final straw. He would be the one to end the marriage if she ever cheated on him.

Maggie is going to pop the top of that can by releasing the story. However, how will David feel about that because he told her to not have someone follow his wife anymore?

Screenshot_53

Her actions might actually end David’s marriage, but I do not think that he will come running into her arms like she might think.

It is probably not in David’s mind to run for office after the story leaks because he is a man of honor. I do not know if he will take some of the blame off of Jim about the hit-and-run cover up, but I know that he will not like that story one bit!

Screenshot_5

Not to jump off of the main topic of this blog, but I think Maggie’s story is going to negatively affect the Young Family.

Remember that those photos are of Veronica and Benny. They will most likely be posted all over the national television stations just as Celine revealing her children with Jim were.

Screenshot_57

I think that Hanna will realize that Benny was right about coming to his home with Quincy Jr. The child service people know that her house burnt down, and she might lose custody because she does not have a stable home for her grandson.

She will finally give in (despite her feelings about the house) resulting in her moving into Benny’s house.

Child services will see that Benny has a good job with the towing company, and that the house is paid for providing a nice place for little Q.

However, once those photos get leaked to the press…

Screenshot_19

The roof is going to fly off of the house because child services will see that Benny was an ex-con involved with his attorney! Hanna will lose it (as always), and they will potentially lose custody of little Q.

Based on the above assumption about how the story will affect the Youngs, I would estimate that the story will reach the presses during the midseason finale.

That is how Tyler typically ends the middle of the series; on a high note that keeps the fans wanting more!

Screenshot_36

Do you think that Maggie has dug her own grave with her plan? How do you think the released story will affect the Young family? Will David finally be her man, or is Maggie just playing herself?

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots Theory: 10 Things I Want To See In Season 4

By Jeremy Carden

11907208_914450651960723_2040476160599964211_n

I can’t believe that it is already 2016, and you know what that means! January 5th is only a couple of days away bringing with it a new season of the HAHN!

Readers have been asking whether or not I would write more blogs before the new episode. However, with a lack of Season 4 promo trailers revealing scenes from the new season, I did not have enough evidence of anything to put into an entire blog.

I figured that with a new year and a new season, I could write about old questions that have gone unanswered. Overall, this blog is going to be about different plots and topics that I would like to have covered in the upcoming season.

There have been a lot of plot twists, unresolved plot points and mentioned but unseen characters in the series. I am hoping that 2016 will bring us more answers to old questions instead of new questions but unresolved topics.

Keep in mind that this blog would be about as long as Webster’s Dictionary if I went over ALL of my thoughts. I will try to write about the topics that pop into my mind first, and the major questions that I feel we need answered sooner instead of never.

ep136-own-hhn-9-949x534

  1. Closure for Amanda

I know I have said it time and time again; Amanda’s death was NOT a suicide. I truly believe that there is more to it than that. You have read my blogs, Facebook posts and tweets on this subject. I do not like how things were “resolved” with her character.

Her funeral was all but an afterthought, and I was highly disappointed. I was thinking that at least 15-20 minutes of the episode would be about the funeral. However, we only see the family leaving the cemetery, and the real story occurred at the Cryer Mansion.

We never get the results of an autopsy because remember that she was said to have become pregnant after being raped by Professor Cannon. Not to mention that she got a death tattoo with the name of all of her family members on it (because she wanted to kill them) when she left the house with Quincy.

The police called the death a suicide, but we never saw the murder weapon! Where was her gun that she had while running around the house??????????????

I just hope that Tyler Perry has something written in the season for Amanda because I truly do not believe that it is over.

  1. Benny’s family realizes that there is something off about him

Just as so many other things in this series are mentioned to only be forgotten, I can say the same about Benny’s departure from the hospital. The doctor told Hanna that they could remove him off of life support in order to assist with speeding up his recover, but there would be some possible side effect. Hanna did not allow the doctor to mention what those effects were because she was interested in doing whatever she could to get her son back.

If I were to make an assumption, I think it is safe to say that some of those side effects would most likely be his personality. He was in a coma for nearly half of Season 2, and it is clear that he was a bit “off” after waking up. His personality was a bit like a child, his attitude and rage would rise at the drop of a dime, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Things like his affair with Veronica makes sense if you take into consideration the possibly about her being on some type of drug or medication herself! Hanna should know by now that given his behavior that there is something wrong with her son!

It is almost as bad as when Jim was clearly obvious to Amanda’s personality defects, and that led to her death because he did not have her committed like Katheryn told him to.

In any case, I just hope we get to see Benny taken in for a checkup or something to identify what is happening to him.

Screenshot_27

  1. Veronica’s mother makes an appearance

During their attempts to run for the governor’s mansion, David was seen calling or receiving calls from Veronica mother. It is mentioned that Jim sued Veronica’s father, and that was why her mother hates him.

David even said that the reason he called her was to talk about the problems with his marriage. We never find out if she planned on coming to visit them or speak to her daughter. Given their current circumstances, I think that her presence is needed now more than ever.

Veronica needs to be put in her place considering everything that she has pulled at this point, and her mother should be the person to bring her down a few notches.

ep101-own-hhn-11-600x411

  1. Hanna and Candace resolve their issues

Alright, I do not think that EVERY issue between the two will be solved in one season because they have too much to fix! However, it is sad to see the two be driven further and further apart each season. It is almost as if each time they step closer to each other, we see the distance between them grow even larger than before.

Season 3 was truly the climax of Hanna’s character in terms of her motherhood to Candace. She asked for her forgiveness about the incident with her boyfriend molesting her as a child. I felt that Hanna did all that she could by saying that she loved Candace, and she did not want to her continue on the current path that she was traveling down.

Enter Quincy Jr., and how his introduction to the series really made things difficult for the Candace-Hanna relationship. Hanna was throwing shade about Candace to Aaliyah, and Candace was willing to fight back to get custody for her son.

Hanna really crossed the line by accusing Candace of destroying her house. If it were not for Candace, Hanna would have lost her house. Although, you have to remember that she only paid the $50,000 through blackmailing Jim for $100,000, but her heart was in the right place. Not saying that it condones what she did, but you can see where I am going with this.

I think that after Candace loses everything (pretty sure she did in the Season 3 finale), she will finally change her ways. In the next season, I hope that Candace starts learning from her mistakes instead of trying to be more cunning and deceitful than before. Hanna will start to notice a change in her daughter for the better, and I really want to see the Young family united instead of divided especially with little Q in their lives.

  1. David gets aggressive

David is my favorite character, and I do not think that opinion has changed since I made that statement back during Season 2. I respect that he loves his wife despite everything that she has done, but the guy is oblivious to many signs! Just as Jim was with Amanda and Hanna was with Benny; David is just letting the signs appear in front of his eyes, but he is ignoring them!

Yes, he was wrong for getting into bed with Maggie, but you cannot tell me that Veronica was not driving him into her arms the entire season!

She nearly cremated him (literally), and all he did was call it a cry for attention…

His relationship with Jeffrey has gotten a lot better than earlier seasons when Veronica came down hard on him, and David did not do much of anything. Finally, Jeffrey stands up for himself and David has his back. They both care about Veronica, and want to help her even though she does not know that she needs it herself.

I also respect how he is a true friend, but it is now clear that Jim has made him an enemy. David said during Season 2 that he is a good friend, but he is a better enemy.

He proved to be more effective than Jim in some respects because he does not let his emotions direct his actions or cloud his judgment. Seen as when he deceived Candace for nearly an entire season by hiring Brandon (Oscar) to get the money Candace extorted from Jim.

I must admit that I would also like to see him end up with Maggie because she appreciates him for the good man that he is instead of being controlling like Veronica. It appears that he and Jim will be sharing a jail cell, and I can’t wait to see what goes down.

  1. Katheryn learns the truth

Katheryn seems to have floated into the background for quite some time now. Don’t get me wrong after beating up Celine, I think it is safe to say we are seeing a new Mrs. Cryer! Then looking at how she interrogated Candace like a boss, I can’t wait to see she will do next.

I am glad to see that she is trying to move on with her life after Amanda’s death by getting back into an exercise routine, and just doing what she can to stay busy. However, there are major events that are just flying over her head.

That is not to say that she is not trying to stay informed because she keeps hounding Jim about things, but we all know how he is.

She has to learn that Wyatt was sexually assaulted in prison, and Veronica was the one to set it up! If I am not mistaken, she does not even know that Veronica burned down her own house to kill David. She found out about the “affair” he was having with Maggie, and was shocked with Jim tried to choke her.

Out of everything, I am most interested in finding out how she will react to finding out that Wyatt got sexually assaulted because Jim did not take him out of prison when she told him to. Throw into the mix the fact that Veronica was the one who did it, and we will see some fights next season!

  1. Did Norman ever get placed back in prison?

Jim put Wyatt in Norman’s place to teach him a lesson about prison. Remember that Norman was the one who took the fall for the hit-and-run charges, and he was staying in a hotel while being watched by the Malones. He said that he would like to see his wife, but Jim said that he would get to do so (eventually).

Wyatt was finally taken back home by Jim, but it was never mentioned if Norman was ever brought back to the prison.

I would not be surprised if he somehow escaped, and now Jim is in a bit of a bind. Considering that he is going to be locked up next season, he will already have enough trouble on his plate.

My theory is that Norman did get away, and when Jim needs (or needed if he had already put him back in jail) to put him back so nobody finds out about the switch (although Jennifer already knows); he will be in a bad position to cover his actions.

However, Jennifer told Wyatt over the phone that she knew about the switch because she has eyes and ears everywhere. We could possibly assume that he was put back in jail, but it is just one of those things that I wish we got to see. You know if Jim got on the phone after seeing Wyatt all pitiful and scared, and he calls the Malones to bring Norman back only to find out that he got away. Now that would have been a great plot twist!

Tony-step-up-500

  1. Will Tony ever get his kidney?

Seriously, is this man ever going to get the treatment that he needs or will he be a dying character this season? I am not sure how he plans on getting a kidney from Benny since he is out and about on the town. Benny knows that he is hiding something from him, and he wanted him off of life support for a reason.

I am not sure if Benny will willingly give his dad a kidney, but I am interested to see if Tony actually reveals the truth to his son. I really want to see how Benny would react to that question.

11846719_10204845974135772_8133584723843860188_n

  1. Is Melissa really pregnant?

Considering how long she was in the bathroom with the pregnancy test, I just have a feeling that something is off about her carrying Jeffrey’s child. I do not know if she is playing Veronica in order to get her dad the treatment that he needs or what. She seems content (for the most part) in marrying Jeffrey, and is willing to do whatever it takes to help out her family.

However, I just think there is more to Melissa that we just don’t know…yet. I hope in the new season that more is revealed about her character in terms of her being more than just a puppet. I think there is more to her that meets the eye. The dynamic of her marrying a man that she knows is gay just to help her dad puzzles me for some reason. Again, I just hope that more is done with her character.

Jim-and-David

  1. David vs. Jim

It was foreshadowed when David said that he is a better enemy than a friend, and he has his own aspirations for the governor’s mansion thanks to Maggie. He has always played second fiddle to Jim like Luigi does to Mario.

Their friendship is over, and I am sure we all want to see who would win between the two. I am not just talking about a physical fight (I am sure that we will get one at some point), but I am referring to a battle of wits and cunning.

Jim planned on having Veronica killed, and David said that if anything happens to her that Jim will face an enemy like he has never seen.

I want to see just how far David will go when he is pushed because he is a quiet storm that has yet to be fully unleashed!

Those are 10 things that I would like to see brought up and resolved in Season 4. Keep in mind that these are just 10 of MANY things that need to be resolved, and I would like to get your thoughts in the comment section below.

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots Theory: Do I Work for Tyler Perry?

By Jeremy Carden

11907208_914450651960723_2040476160599964211_n

There is a subject that I should address once and for all. Many of my faithful readers have been asking me about a particular topic ever since I posted my first HAHN blog. It has to do with whether or not I am a staff writer, ghostwriter or mystery writer for Tyler Perry Studios.

I must admit that if I were a HAHN fan reading blogs like these from someone who can create such elaborate twists and plots for where the story will go, I would think that person was one of Tyler Perry’s writers myself!

However, this is NOT the case…

ep107-own-hhn-2-600x411

You have no idea how much I would love to work for Tyler Perry Studios! Considering that I have been writing on this blog for over 2 years without a cent to show for it, you know that I am crazy about the HAHN!

I graduated with my Master’s in Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2014, and I have been working as an Academic Advisor in the school’s online department for the past year.

Working in a call center has taught me how to deal with many types of people, and gave me a new appreciation for good customer service. It goes without saying that I have to deal with unruly students from time to time.

ep136-own-hhn-13-949x534

If I worked as a writer for Mr. Perry on this hit show making good money, do you really think that I would still be working in a call center?

That is NOT a rhetorical question to throw off suspicion, or that my job in a call center is a cover-up for me being a staff writer.

hahn-july-14

Usually, I have the same face as Candace (shown above) while I am on the phone with someone being rude or unruly. However, I thank God for giving me the patience to help work through problems with angry students to come up with a positive solution.

My mother and I watched the first episode of HAHN on OWN when it premiered back in 2013.

7800cb64103c753b382a2d9d40cc3a9b

From there, I discovered that 140 characters on a mere tweet were not enough to express our thoughts and theories. That was when I first began to write theory blogs for the show.

Funny story, it was actually a tweet from Tika Sumpter/Candace that inspired me to do my very first blog.

ep108-own-hhn-5-949x534

It had to do with the episode “Angry Sex” when Candace told Jim about how she feels no sympathy towards him because he has everything, but he is willing to throw it all away because he is bored with it.

I believe my question to her through a tweet had to do with Candace’s own issues. She responded that Candace knows that she is imperfect, but is secure with her own imperfections making her who she is.

Tika asked me what did I thought about that statement. Of course, I could not put my full thoughts into a single tweet, and that was how my first blog began. The topic was whether or not Jim was in love with Candace, and the rest is history!

oprah.com-20150826-hhn-222-promo-2-949x534-550x309

Whether or not Mr. Perry has actually read one of my blogs is still a mystery to me. However, I have heard back from nearly EVERY character on the HAHN through Twitter and Facebook!

It is such an amazing feeling to have the cast members retweet, favor or tweet back to one of my tweets where I provide a link to my blog. It makes all of the time that I put into my blogs worth it.

Even if I never receive a thin dime from TP Studios for my writing, I am still happy to know that the cast members enjoy my work. The same can be said for any readers of my blog who comment or like the post. Just one like on it means that my mission was accomplished.

ep116-own-hhn-7-600x411

Hopefully, this puts an end to the questions regarding my “position” with Tyler Perry Studios. I am not provided with any episode summaries, scripts or anything like that to use as material for my blogs.

My mother and I practically talk about this show EVERY SINGLE DAY either in person or over the phone. We come up with theories based on previous episodes, and our own personal thoughts on where the story will go next. That explains where all of my theories for the new episodes come from for each blog.

Screenshot_40

The #1 theory (at least in my mom’s mind) is that the show itself is all going on in the mind of Katheryn Cryer due to her having a dream while in surgery for her breast cancer.

Again, I appreciate everyone who has helped me in some way with my blog. Whether it was sharing my blog with other HAHN viewers, or sending a kind word with a tweet.

Even though I do not officially work for TP Studios, I would like to think that I do work for it.

Why?

Well with each blog that I write (especially during the show’s hiatus times), I like to keep fans thinking about where the season ended. Then it helps to spark interest before the new season even starts up! So, in my own little way, I do what I can to increase fans for the series.

I cannot wait until January 5th because it will be a brand new era of HAHN blogs for Season 4!

Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots Theory: Will Warlock Switch Sides?

By Jeremy Carden

11907208_914450651960723_2040476160599964211_n

Will Candace lose it all during Season 4?

I know that I do not normally begin a blog with a question, but this topic has been rolling around in my head for awhile now. At the end of Season 3, Candace lost her money, trust of her family, her son and almost lost her life.

12006081_887584401331038_8628378199341240651_n

She basically has to start from scratch again because she does not even have a penny to her name right now. Quincy is bleeding out on her floor, and Jeffrey is the only person who knew what happened in the living room (aside from Brandon who rushed out of the house the minute Quincy attacked).

This blog is about Candace losing Warlock who could be considered both her hired muscle and possible love interest.

ep201-own-hhn-1-949x534

Warlock is like Candace’s (or Candy Cane’s) older brother out on the streets. He is the “Benny” in the criminal or ghetto side of town that Candace looks to for protection.

It cannot be denied that there is some sexual tension between the two.

Candace wants him to go straight with a legit career instead of hustling. Warlock is not completely open to the idea, but Candace wants him to have a better life.

It could be her way of showing appreciation for everything that he has done for her in the past. After Jim had movers clean out her apartment, they took away Amanda and Candace’s possessions.

ep132-own-hhn-10-949x534

Candace was now at rock bottom, and Warlock helped her out. He gave her $5,000 until she got on her feet, and then assisted with her revenge on Jim.

He was clearly hesitant at first because this was a judge who was running for governor. Jim would come down hard on Warlock, and in turn that would cripple his operations. However, he stuck out his neck for Candy Cane and it paid off.

She gave him the $100,000 that she promised him, and an additional $50,000 as well.

ep203-own-hhn-15-949x534

Though she did lie to Warlock about how much money she extorted from him. Candace told him that it was $400,000, but in reality it was millions!

How do you think that Warlock will react when he finds out the truth?

Remember that even though Candace did give him what she promised and more; she lied to him. Warlock put his neck out for her because as I mentioned before, if Jim did come back with the law…War would have been out of business and behind bars!

ep202-own-hhn-3-949x534

It was a good thing that she had the blackmail to keep Jim in check with the photos and sex videos.

Haves-Benny-Candace-1024x682

We can assume that she wanted War to go into business with Benny at the towing company because his business smarts would help Benny succeed. I am not sure if that was Candace’s original plan, but it would be a good way of helping her pull in some much needed cash!

ep202-own-hhn-5-949x534

Jim tried to persuade War to switch sides on Candace by letting him free, and pulling a double-cross on Candy Cane. However, he told Jim that on this side of the tracks (the Have Nots); they have each other’s backs and they do not turn coats.

ep202-own-hhn-4-949x534

It really hints at War being furious when Candy Cane lied to his face about the money. Something tells me that he would have known she was lying about a mere $400,000 if Jim had told War how much money Amanda’s inheritance was.

Remember that he said things would have been so much easier for Jim if he had given her the money. However, it was millions of dollars that was in danger of him losing to Candace. Again, War would have been smart enough to know Candace would not have gone through so much trouble abducting Jim who was sitting on millions for less than half a million!

ep212-own-hhn-8-949x534

The way Warlock finds out about Candace’s lies are beyond me at this point, but I think Benny might tell him. I could see Warlock giving Benny a call to see if Candace was doing alright, and Benny tells him the situation; Candace claiming to have a legit lawyer job, buying cars/houses/tow company, but then losing millions resulting in an empty bank account.

War will put two and two together because he knows she didn’t have a job, he knows how she got the money, but thought he knew how much she had!

Regardless, I really am curious how things will turn out if he does find out about her lying about the money. She will be in a lot of trouble if you ask me!

ep132-own-hhn-5-949x534

Do you think War will turn on Candace is he finds out about her lies? How will War find out about her lying to him? Will War help out Jim because of what Candace did to him? If War finds out about Quincy’s death, how will he react?
